I have now ordered delivery from here twice-one week apart. The first time the order was delivered by EAT24 and was delivered hot and delicious in 45 mins. The second time the order was delivered by StreetEats and it was delivered cold in 1 hour and 15 min. The first time we ordered sausage which come with sausage, pepperoni, and chunks of ham. Best delivery style pizza i have had in a long time. Thin crust and foldable not crispy and flaky. I decided to try the bacon cheeseburger on the second order. It arrived cold, so we decided to throw it in the oven for a few minutes to warm up. I would have rather had the sausage special when I order again. I would like to try the pizza at the restaurant or just pick i up myself. I am surre it is much better than the slow delivery. read more

There's only a few places I trust in Alexandria to make authentic and delicious pizza - this is one of them. If you enjoy the traditional pizza style you will love it. I come to this place very often as I work in the area. I've always gotten a sandwich or sub made to order and it was never a problem. Today I ordered a steak and cheese and asked for mushrooms instead of green peppers - like I usually do. And they snuck a $1.50 charge on my bill itemized as "open food." After getting my bill and asking what this charge was the man says "for mushrooms." Are you kidding me? Substituting one vegetable for another is worth a $1.50? Total ripoff. And I might add they never told me up front it was an added charge. Very deceitful. I won't go back and I advise others to check their receipts before paying. Great way to lose business and a faithful/routine customer. Adios. Update: First time going back to this place in 6+ months. The website says hours 10:00am - 10:45pm. I called at 10:05 today and the guys says "oh we just opened we can't make any food yet, call back at 11:15 or 11:20." Seriously? Perfect pizza!! The crust is truly NY style - you can pick it up and fold it before biting it - with just the right mixture of chewiness and crispness. My husband and I each ordered deluxe (choose your own 4 toppings). Very generous portions of sun-dried tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, fresh basil...YUM!! I was a loyal customer. I will not be ordering again. I ordered delivery, and they have coupons on their website. I attempted to use one, and the driver would not accept it, saying I had to tell the person on the phone when I ordered, even though I was paying cash. This was confirmed when he called the restaurant. I did not tell the person on the phone when I ordered because he was rude and kept and rushing me along. (Plus, that has not been a rule in the past when I have used the coupons, nor is it mentioned on their website, where you get the coupons.) Decent place to grab a quick slice for lunch. They offer a variety of menu options, but it's important to note that their so-called "vegan" section seems to have tofu...but with dairy products, which is not vegan and not likely to be worth trying anyway. Somewhere between incompetence and false advertising, that. I don't go to pizza places for the tofu anyway. If you are trying to avoid dairy, it's worth noting that their hummus is a fantastic huge plate that's probably cheaper than what you could get at the grocery store, and better. As for the pizza itself, it gets the job done, and lives up to the name by being exceptionally cheesy. They have a large seating area; not fancy but definitely helpful compared to a lot of lunch places that don't. Their service is a bit sketchy. Not that they aren't trying, but they're kind of disorganized and seem to struggle to get my order right. I'll generously give them three stars because they're well-located and an acceptable quick bite. read more

I don't have too much to say about the customer service other then the owner is nice and I have not have any disagreements with him. The bus boy was nice and greeted us. That counts! For the lunch visit, we went with our families and ordered a lot of pasta, pizza, even the chicken tenders. Everything was great! For dinner, we ordered for carry-out but decided to dine in. The owner offered to plate the food, but we decided it was easier for us to eat in the to-go container. The dinner portion of the lasagna comes with a house salad (very crispy and fresh) with house dressing and two slices of peppered garlic French bread. The salad was romaine lettuce, mini tomatoes (just 2 or 3), shredded carrots and shredded red cabbage. The house dressing seemed to be a mix of French and Italian. It was okay. We both ordered the beef lasagna and agreed that it was very rich. The cheese was melted to perfection and the sauce had a lot of flavors. The pasta was cooked really well as was the beef. It was not gross and chunky. It looked beautiful. Can't wait to go again! read more

I stopped going to Quattro Formaggi a while ago, after they managed to mess up my order 3 times in a row. I finally decided to give them another try for lunch this past week. There was a bit of a line right around noon, but it moved fairly quickly and after a short wait we were sitting at the tables outside, looking at a Paisano calzone and an order of Baked Ziti (and yes, those were the dishes that we had ordered). The food was a little bit of a mixed bag. I really liked the ingredients in the calzone - the spinach and arugula were fresh, the bread, cheese and sundried tomatoes were delicious, and the pizza sauce for dipping on the side was great. Unfortunately, it was pretty poorly constructed - almost all of the cheese was on one half, and the greens inside of the calzone were similarly unbalanced, which made their half of the calzone slightly drippy. I only had a taste of the Ziti, but it seemed about average to me - nothing amazing, but sufficient if you feel like having some pasta. Portion sizes were slightly on the large side, though so were prices so it was about average for value (I should note that we got entrees, pizza slices are only $2 and are a decent deal). I do like how they have tables outside so you have the option to be outdoors if the weather is nice. Quattro definitely isn't the type of place that I would go out of my way to go to, but for anyone who needs some Italian food or pizza in a hurry and happen to be in the area, it isn't a bad choice. read more

So I look at the "Specials" menu and see #2. I thought, wow a lamb burger bahn mi style, I'm in. Get a clue. This isn't bahn mi style. This is an American style burger on a bun. A bahn mi is served on Vietnamese French bread. The burger dressings are maybe bahn mi. But, the $15+ I paid was not worth the value. The burger was not good. The bun was a crappy store bought bun. Every time we're in Alexandria we stop here. People are are very friendly. Restaurant is clean. Food is always made hot and fresh. Whenever we are visiting I get the panini with mozzarella basil tomatoes and chicken and my husband gets the white pizza and mozzarella sticks. Great place for a bite to eat on the go.
