I was going to eat the lunch I brought from home, but a coworker convinced me to get out of the office to get some pho. I am so glad I did--filling portions at a great price. I started off with the shrimp spring rolls which were stuffed to the brim and came with a lovely peanut sauce. For my entree, I ordered the pho tai. The beef was a bit tougher than I'm used to in my pho, but the broth was divine and the jalapenos spicy. Although service isn't super attentive, it was friendly and patient. I can't wait until I get another chance to come to Que Huong! read more

This is one of my fave Vietnamese spots. Usually because it is less crowded then Da Vang or Pho Thanh. And I think the pho is just as good if not better. I met up with a friend who is quite the food snob and he gave it a B+. The bill is was affordable enough that I could pick up the whole tab. Service is great. read more

Came here for lunch with a fellow coworker, he was craving for some pho. It was cold, and cloudy and was the perfect weather for pho. We never intended to come here, we were actually routed for a different, more renowned place, but that place was so busy we could not wait and came to this little place instead. This place was small, welcoming, and kinda clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. We got a order of pork fried rice, and the pho with everything. The pork fried rice was pretty decent, but the price fir that size plate was ridiculous. The pho was decent as well. Coworker like how the broth was not too salty, it was quite light. The noodles were too sticky, they were sticking together and not very smooth. The veggies were decently fresh. The loo was overall clean a little retro looking, and the toilet was slightly weaker than your average common house toilet. Overall a positive experience, don't see why we wouldn't come back. read more

This place is crazy good. Just look at the picture and imagine if authenticity had to talk, it would say...AMAZING! Have ordered here couple times now and it's usually after hikes. It fills the spot but also I appreciate the that it's cooked with freshness. It's either still sizzling or steam is still coming from the food. The ingredients aren't soggy and chicken is tender, so good. It's also great that it's close by. read more

If you're looking for Authentic Vietnamese Pho then this is the place for you! We were craving pho after a night of drinking and found this gem through Yelp. We each ordered 4 different pho's and we all loved it! This place is chef's kiss! It's always nerve racking to find a good restaurant when you're not from the area... so finding this gem was awesome! This is very good Pho. Had Pho with rare beef and the Broth was very flavorful and not greasy. I measure all Pho against U K Pho (the best I've found in Phoenix) and this one stacks up nicely Beef, onions and noodles lacked real flavor. Spring Rolls (Shrimp) were excellent while the Shrimp and Chive dumplings were pastry and a disappointment. All in all a nice bowl of love. read more

Probably my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Phoenix. The broth for their pho is always clear and delicious. The meat doesn't have that funky "cooked, frozen, then defrosted" taste, even if that is likely their method. Rice dishes are always generous servings and all that I've tried are amazing, authentic and flavorful. The staff is friendly, even after the ownership/name change. I was a regular, pre-pandemic. Now I try to stay away to keep them safe but pho just isn't the same when you take it to-go. I still like to support their business when I can, safely. I highly suggest doing the same. Doesn't look like much from the outside given the strip-mall setting but it is absolutely worth the visit. read more

We were in Phoenix for 5 days for business from the OC in SoCal. We were looking for Vietnamese food and found this restaurant. What a pleasant surprise we got when we came to this place. They had an extensive menu that beat many restos in Little Saigon, Southern California. The food was delicious and the portion generous. Service was excellent. The food took a bit long to come out but it was definitely worth the wait. read more

Nice and clean restaurant. Everything is so good and tasty. I definitely recommend the shaken beef with white rice. And Com ga do aka grilled chicken with red color rice. So good. Try those and you'll love them. The food is presented nicely on plate, big portions too. And The best part is the price is so affordable compared to others, especially this year with everything is so expensive. We'll be back for sure. read more

So glad to see that this reincarnation of Maxim continues the practice of serving really tasty inexpensive fare with smother-you-with-friendliness service, and with a brighter and tidier dining area this time around. The beef pho I tried is a superior bowl of piping hot goodness - very fresh flavors and they don't skimp on the meat. The broken rice with grilled pork that I enjoyed on another visit made for a very satisfying meal. The garlic chive dumplings are a must-try appetizer; these are a great alternative to the egg rolls or spring rolls that people usually order for starters. However i'm grateful to have found this place, makes me feel super close to home with their foods. Their bun rieu is my favorite here. Very tasty and just right. The only reason I ate here was because of the yelp reviews and the 4.5 star rating. I ordered Pad Thai and got bean sprouts, noodles, and some chicken and 2 shrimp.. Egg and peanuts and lemon slices. I asked, where are the peas, green onions, carrots, anything to add flavor and substance. The cook said that's not how they make Pad Thai. And they don't have limes. The peanut sauce for my spring roll was pretty bad. I ordered Pho to go. We'll see how that comes out when I heat it up for breakfast. read more

I always go to the hookah lounge next to this place and never gave it much thought. We came in and the owner is such a great person. Very welcoming and nice. We sat down and he gave us menus. I ordered a Beef Pho, Spring rolls with pork ( he recommended it ) and fried rice ! The pho was OMG !! The taste was so amazing and smoothing. Definitely didnt have a strong taste like most do. I loved it. The spring rolls i never tried them like that! I don't remember what he said was on them but mannnn delicious!!! The fried rice had a great taste!! I loved all of it ! Pho Tai You can never have enough good Pho restaurants especially when the places you usually go to are closed for specific reasons. The wife and I ended up trying this place out for the above reason and we were heavily craving Pho so we were on the hunt until we stumbled upon this lovely place. Honestly, this is a heavy contender for one of our favorite places for Pho Tai (Which is with just sliced beef) for the food alone. One thing we look for is plenty of cilantro in the broth which is a very good sign for us and we were not disappointed. We tried the broth first and both of us smiled as the broth was flavorful without adding any of the sauces. Now I do like mine with a little kick so I like to add either siracha or the chili garlic sauce with the seeds and jalapenos. The noodles had a great texture and the meat was very tasty. Overall, we want to visit this place more to get that comforting consistency but if one of your favorite spots are closed or you are just looking for a new spot to try some really good pho, give this place a try. read more

Que Huong is is worth of the 5 star rating. We stopped on our way out of town, hoping we might find good Pho in Phoenix. I got the Bun Bo Hue. The broth is rich and meaty and perfectly spiced. They served it with a delicious assortment of meats including congealed blood and pork hock. I really appreciated the generous portion of mint and jalapeño. Their spring rolls are a good balance of noodles and vegetables and the peanut sauce was thick and flavorful. The service was super friendly. The rest of the menu is filled with items I'd love to try if I get back to Phoenix some day. read more

We didn't need a reservation since we had a small party, but I would recommend if if you're coming with a party of four or more. We sat at the bar and ordered four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu; though honestly I think we probably could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). From their pho and rice plates to the Vietnamese sandwiches (bánh mì), bánh xèo crepe, and shrimp & chive dumplings, every single item was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor.
