My mom and I stopped by here for lunch while we were in Savannah. We had been on the road for a while and we were just looking for something quick. You walk in and seat yourself. We sat and were greeted by our waitress who immediately took our drink order. Then we ordered once she came back. My mom ordered the Turkey club and I ordered the cheeseburger. It was good but the fries weren't done all the way. They had a little more bite to them than I'd like. They also had a buffet available. This Henry's has been renamed Quinn's but everything seems to have remained the same as Henry's. Our table had the spinach omelet with added ham and a bacon cheeseburger. The omelet was good but I wish there had been more egg. Not sure how to describe it but the egg part was very thin. But besides that, the omelet was good and I probably would order it again. My son said his bacon cheeseburger was good. The patty was large and it looked like it was not a frozen patty but rather one made in house. The menu has something for everyone. There was also a breakfast buffet bar that looked like it had a large variety of items. Service was excellent and the lady at the cash register was very friendly. Prices were very fair. My husband says I was prejudiced by the bad reviews about the change in ownership, but I hope I have more integrity than that. Service was prompt when we sat, and our food came quickly, though that may have been because nearly everything was packaged commercial ingredients. Favorable: the coffee was hot and strong, the orange juice was not fresh but still good, the bacon was thin and crispy, the way I like. (I was concerned at the huge pile of precooked bacon I saw, was all that really made today?) Unfavorable: the biscuits were gluey, the gravy was had cut up sausage links and strongly reminded me of Bob Evans', the sausage patties were salty and really finely ground meat, if it was chicken, my father would have said it's made from "chicken lips". You get the idea. The hollandaise was more lemony than it should have been. As far as prices go, I thought they were pretty high for the quality, and they charge extra for EVERY substitution, even for the type of bread. It it's not toasted bread, you pay extra. Hash browns instead of grits? You pay extra. Add fruit, nuts or chocolate chips to your pancakes or waffles, it's extra. I'm sorry, but the base price of everything is not low enough to justify the extras. read more

I have been coming to Henry's on Sundays for a couple of months now. I like the fast service, good breakfast and the reasonable prices (except for the buffet). I was starting to become a regular, but you know what they say: "All good things must come to an end". Henry's has sold and is now Quinn's. I should mention that I am retired and literally go out to lunch everyday - just something I like to do. Now, I don't drink Sodas or Iced tea, I always order water in a to-go cup. I know there is a cost associated with the cup - What maybe 10 cents? That is one of the reasons why I always tip very well. I think that makes up for that cost. Out of the hundreds of restaurants I have been to, this is only the second place to charge for water in a to-go cup. I don't patronize places that are too cheap to provide that service. Last Sunday, I decided to visit Quinn's, one more time, to see if they had maybe changed their policy. I also wanted to try their Shrimp and Grits (which has such great reviews on this here - Yelp). I had never had the shrimp and grits before. Well, what a disappointment! The grits and toppings were Great! However, the shrimp were small frozen shrimp like you would get from Cosco or Walmart. Now this is Savannah - we are known for our local great shrimp and Quinn's is using frozen store-bought shrimp- What! Now, since I have never had the shrimp and grits before, I don't know if this has always been the case or if this is a recent change by the new owners. All I know is that using frozen shrimp In Savannah is a travesty. Man, I certainly hope that tourist don't eat here and think that this is the Shrimp Savannah is known for. As I was paying, I looked at my bill and there was that $1.00 charge for the water in a to-go cup. So nice move "New Owners" - You have lost me over a 10 cent cup! And not just me: I am a part-time Uber driver and often recommended to my riders - Henry's as being a good "Locals" spot for breakfast. But not anymore! So - New owners, may I suggest: Take that dollar, caress it, gently hold it, or even frame it! Hang it over your register. I assure you; it will be the last dollar - you will ever get from me. Wanted some breakfast before we hit the road back home to Orlando. I found Henry's thanks to Yelp. Glad I found Henry's. It's a little cafeteria style cafe. They have breakfast buffet and a la cart menu. It appears to be somehow connected to a hotel maybe? But anyway you seat yourself when you walk in. It was a weekday morning so wasn't too bad. I started with a cup of coffee. I had the fried fish, eggs and grits. Also a side of pancake. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp and grits. I loved my breakfast. The fish was seasoned well and not dry. A big plus. The grits were creamy. I loved it. The shrimp and grits was pretty good as well. Good amount of shrimps. This is a great inexpensive place to come to for breakfast. This is the perfect hole in the wall diner I have been looking for since I moved to Savannah over 3 years ago. Quinn's (formerly Henry's) is located in the heart of the historic district and is the best spot for locals to get a great breakfast! The menu features everything you would want, and they also have the self serve buffet. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The food was really good, especially the grits. I love me some grits, and these were cooked to perfection. The eggs were also good not over cooked but just right. They offer a buffet on the weekends and we went on a Sunday. I also ordered a Decaf coffee and it came out cold. When I mentioned that to the waitress she promptly made another pot. We were seated quickly and advised that the menu was in a holder on the table. Yes, there were four wrinkled menus, stuffed into a holder at the end of our table. The appearance was sloppy and uncaring. It didn't convey a diner "style" to me. I had the eggs benedict. The hollandaise was watery and lacked flavor; my gal had a shrimp omelet which she enjoyed. We were recommended this spot for breakfast by Mona our Old Savannah tour bus driver and guide and boy it did not disappoint! Our made to order food came out fast and hot and was delicious! The grits are the creamiest and most perfect ones we have ever had! I almost wish I had gotten them too, but the hash browns were equally perfect. Even the coffee was amazing! I love that this place is smack in the middle of downtown and is totally a hidden gem. It is well worth seeking out. 5 Stars Holla. There are a lot of brunch options in Savannah but we decided to try Henry's. I'm a HUGE fan of shopping and eating local restaurants. Um, they have a breakfast buffet. SOLD!! We found a booth by a window and it was the perfect seat. They have a great selection on the buffet. Grits, eggs, hash browns, fruit, different bread assortments, bacon, sausage, chicken nuggets, country fried steak, white gravy and much more. Everything was FRESH!! Just around the corner from our hotel, so gave it a try for breakfast on our first morning in town. It was quick, and the food was good. Apparently, though, they have not heard of COVID because they were not adhering to any of the recommendations. No mask on the server or on any of the counter staff; the young lady at the checkout did wear a mask, and I thanked her for it! (She said they were all supposed to be wearing one!) Communal cream pitchers and communal basket to dig through for a butter or jelly packet. They let people just seat themselves wherever they chose, so questionable social distancing. We will certainly not be back during our stay in Savannah. read more
