This is just a gem in the South Bay. It's hard to classify what exactly is Rabano. The menu has a lot Asian influenced dishes but they have not only added their own twist but also included cuisines from other parts of the world. The place is clean. The staff is friendly. A great new find in the Beach Cities. I have been several times with others and we have tried all the Bowls and we enjoyed them all. The quality of ingredients and flavors are top notched. I am now working through other parts of their menu including the sandwiches. The pork belly Banh Mi was excellent, although not quite an authentic Banh Mi it was more a modernist version. When friends ask the type of cuisine at Rabano I say it is like a much better version of the ShopHouse chain (though definitely not in the same league as Rabano). They also offer a wealth of handmade sodas, teas, and Bobas which are a nice complement. One minor suggestion is that the salad with the sandwich was just placed on the baking sheet serving tray which was a little hard to eat, perhaps using a small bowl would be neater and easier to eat. I'll be back to try more of the menu. read more

I have been a big fan of Rabano since it opened. The food tastes great, the quality is great and the customer service is great as well. My complaint is in regards to To Go orders. I use the Rabano app. The food is always cold ( it must be ready far before the app pick up time) and something is always missing. My last order of a salad with chicken added for an extra $4.00 was void of any chicken, as well as the bread on the side that it comes with. This isn't the first time my order was missing the bread. The Yukon fries with my husbands order was half filled. As stated, Rabano food is great but for the expensive price, I want exactly what I paid for. Sadly, I have driven home with the food before I notice this. read more

Really liked the ordering process, you walk in put your order into 1 of 3 iPads, swipe your card bring your receipt up for a number. My wife and I went for lunch, I had Lechon Cubano:Pulled pork Cuban style, mojo criollo, black beans, red pickled onions, sweet plantains....the plantains were the best we have ever had, thebpork was cooked perfectly and just fell apart. My wife had two tacos's one Beef and one grilled chicken; kimchi, gochujang. chipotle crema, roasted corn, cilantro, cotija and they were scrumptious. So I asked to substitute chicken with tofu in a teriyaki bowl, and they said yes. Eventually I got my bowl which had chicken in it, and I asked for a new one with tofu. I had no problem with them getting it wrong since it was extremely busy, and people make mistakes. But when I got it back after eating about half of the bowl, I found a piece of chicken! I have been vegetarian for 10 years and I Gag at even the thought of eating meat. But the fact that they had the audacity to scrape off the chicken and place the tofu on top I thought was extremely rude. Imagine if I had been deathly allergic to chicken I would have had an allergic reaction. I'm not saying that I'm allergic to chicken, but I just think that the staff should be more careful about people's diets, and allergies. What if someone did go into rabano with a similar request to mine and they accidentally ate the thing they were allergic to at the bottom of their bowl. That would be disastrous, and they might even sue. All I'm trying to say is that the staff at rabano should be more considerate of people's diets since when people go to rabano they expect to not have something that they cannot eat or are morally against eating in their food. And if I sound like I'm salty it's cuz I am. read more

Drive by Rabano often and saw that it was always packed, so had to check it out. Looked it up on Yelp and found that you can order online. I ordered the Spicy Thai Chicken bowl and picked it up about 10 minutes later. It was delicious and a perfect option to grab on-the-go. read more

It's probably one of my favorite places in the area. The food quality is consistently high. I've had most of their bowls and salads and found very little to complain about any of them. They're all tasty and delicious. One one complaint is the size of the restaurant and seating - there are precious few seats so customers either have to hover waiting for people to leave or get take out. This is particularly bad at lunchtime - it's a mad house. Somehow, though, the staff manages to get the food out quickly. I think it helps to have the owners present. They do an amazing job of keeping the quality high and the service excellent. read more

My husband and I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! We live in the area and recently discovered it, you could say it has become one of our top 3 restaurants in the South Bay. The restaurant is always clean and lively and the service is top notch. Every time we go in the owner welcomes us by name and personally walks around to greet other guests. That kind of personal touch goes a long way for us. Our favorite dishes are the La bamba bowl, lechon cubano, and spicy Thai chicken bowl. Seriously such delicious and flavorful foods that are equally as healthy and good for you. I'm pretty sure everything is gluten free and most things are vegan optional. From the moment I stepped foot into Rabano, I knew it would become a fave! First of all, the owners, Fernando and his 3 siblings, make me feel like family. They really care about you, and it shows up in their awesome service, the menu and emphasis on the farm to fresh, organic, healthy fare. My go-tos are the Peruvian Saltado and the Spicy Thai Chicken Bowls, the cauliflower soup, and the LaLa Land smoothie. I've brought a lot of friends to Rabano and they all love it. read more

I admit, I haven't tried all the super bowls ... yet. So far they have all been tasty and very satisfying: La Bamba with pork is a balanced meal, Lechon Cubano if you're craving lots of pork, Peruvian Saltado with chicken if you're craving fries, Ahi Poki.
