Had been craving for some oysters lately and this place is just five minutes away from my house. They have a really good happy hour from 4 to 7 and they have variety of free fish seafood fried. Any option that you like. I don't know what type of voice these were but they were bigger than the last time I came, which is good they were brainy. I really really like them. Lobster tots were really good. Maybe a little bit more salt in the potatoes, but it was Honestly Really good and fulfilled. The craving also had a salmon fried roll on the side, but it didn't make to the picture, but it was really good. I would add a little bit more of maybe an avocado or some mango will definitely go come back for the oysters. we sat at the bar and it was a really cool spot and the service was good to be a Tuesday night.

Came here for happy hour on a week night. It was easy to get a seat by the bar. I really enjoyed their happy hour food menu options! Plus, they had half off drinks as well. Would highly recommend if you're in the Atlantic Ave area during happy hour time. I believe it ends at 7pm. We had a bunch of their food items and all were yummy. The lobster risotto was very flavorful but filling. Would recommend sharing it with people if you want to save room for other foods. We also had the fried zucchini/calamari, oysters, fish tacos, and tuna nachos and more that I probably forgot about.

Ate at Racks for lunch. Nice choices on the menu. Oysters were very fresh. Tuna nachos could have used some salt or an additional flavoring. Chicken sandwich was excellent. Shrimp sandwich was tasty but would recommend they either grill the shrimp with additional seasoning or use fried shrimp, Audrey our server was excellent, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant has a nice vibe.

What can I say? We have eaten here before and it always is a good dining experience. Located in the heart of Delray and currently they have a daily Happy Hour on just about everything till 6:30.

I went with a friend we sat at the bar. The bartender was excellent, engaging and was super helpful with the menu. We started with the crab dip. I had the blackened grouper which was excellent with the accompaniments it came with rice and beans. My friend had the salmon said it was delicious. I am looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks

Sister restaurant to Farmhouse and equally as good!! Another 50-% off happy hour. Started with Oysters and Tuna Nacho's. Both fresh and delicious!! I got the Octopus Bolognese so good and the wife got a sushi roll she loved!! Bartenders not at good at the Farmhouse, mangers were on top of things and I would highly recommend this place!!

At Racks, I typically order oysters and wine, but this time I tried the lobster risotto and a lychee martini. We ordered fish tacos for the table and the tempura shrimp. The fish was burnt and the shrimp was bland. The risotto was fantastic, though the martini felt watered down, earning a 7/10. I enjoyed the meal, but I'll return for my usual oysters soon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While I sensed a dip in quality, the attentive service and pleasant outdoor setting made up for it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lively bar scene added to the experience![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was looking for a place in delray to take my parents to for dinner, and had not been to Racks in a very long time so we decided to go there for dinner. I absolutely love the ambiance of this place, and the ability to sit outside and people watch - albeit the table felt too cramped and close to the seats, lacking comfort. The food was good and nicely balanced. Their fish was a but under seasoned, however the accompaniments carried plenty of flavor to make up for it. The server was really friendly, prompt and she kept checking in on us regularly which was perfect. Really enjoyed it. It is a solid place to go to.

Was really looking forward to our meal here after walking past a couple times and it being in the perfect location. However, all three food items we ordered were extremely cold. They were then placed back in the broiler and were returned to us charred

We had a fantastic birthday celebration at Racks Fish House in Delray Wednesday night. Alissa our server was so kind and wonderful at her job. The 5 of us arrived at happy hour - great drink specials and fun bar menu! We had oysters, deviled eggs with crab meat, yuzu shrimp, truffle fries, a rack of ribs, Caesar salad, French onion burger, steamed mussels and 2 Dragon rolls! Everything was spectacular!!! Last year we visited Fl and met a friend at Racks. She insisted we get the Dragon roll. It is a Tempura Maine lobster sushi roll (see the picture). Being from Cape Cod I was skeptical about getting Maine lobster in FL. The Dragon Roll was so amazing (better than any we have had in New England) that we made sure we were back this year for my birthday and reserved 2 Dragon rolls and OMG they were even better than I remembered. We had the greatest time. Every bite was delicious, the drinks were great, Alissa made the night extra special, and the happy hour pricing was a special surprise. The manager was so kind and served the cake with candles (we forgot ours). Such a memorable evening! Thank you Alissa and Racks!

The happy hour at racks is one of the best in Delray. You must get the oysters!!!They are amazing. The French onion burger might be one of the best in the country.

Amazing happy hour! The food is absolutely delicious! We always get several different types of food from the happy hour menu to share. The place is always very busy and happy hour is only at the bar and high top area. I'd highly recommend this place, and the service is great as well!

Great dinner last night at Rack's. Mixed raw fish appetizer, while grilled branzino, Brussels sprouts and a huge piece of key lime pie! A delicious dinner!

The husband-and-wife owners are clearly hands-on... stopping by tables, checking in with guests, and keeping a watchful eye on everything. It's obvious they care and truly want you to have a great time here. I called for a reservation and it was basically sold out... when they said they could take me at 5pm, I grabbed it. Was actually perfect as I was heading over to see the tennis tournament after dinner. On arrival, the place was empty. As expected, when we left, it was completely full. A half bottle of Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay was perfect with my lobster. The wine list isn't extensive, but it's well chosen and fairly priced. The food was excellent across the board. A special of Scallops, Crab Cake, topped with Shrimp over Vegetables was fantastic. My guest enjoyed the Clams Oreganata. I loved my Baked Stuffed Lobster (stuffed with crab), served with amazing Mashed Potatoes... and bonus points for a real hand towel after the lobster. Of course, I had to try the key lime pie... very good. Now I understand why this casual, unassuming spot is so popular... it hits on every note. I noticed a bunch of regulars dining at the bar, which looked perfect to me. The bar is walk-in only... so next time I don't have dinner plans, I'll remember I can just walk in and try for a seat. I'm sure I'll see two familiar faces... the owners, Anthony and Christine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I recently came back with a friend for oysters, clams, and drinks, and we sat at the bar for the evening. The oysters, clams, and mussels were absolutely delicious. I know the ownership has changed since I first came here, but I was so happy to hear the cook is still the same! It really brought back memories. We had a fun night overall -- although I may have slightly annoyed the bartender by asking her to take photos of us (they didn't come out too well under the lighting). Before we left, another server kindly helped us take a few away from the lights, and those turned out much better. All in all, I'm really glad I came back to give J and J's another whirl. The food was fresh and delicious, the atmosphere was warm and nostalgic, and it reminded me why I loved this place to begin with. You should give it a try too!

We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to look over the menu before ordering. We started with the Steak Tartare, served with beer-battered smoked onion petals, truffle, egg yolk, and manchego. It was excellent and one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the Za'atar Roasted Local Vegetables with spicy greens, feta tzatziki, lime pickles, and pepitas. It was good, but it wasn't my favorite dish. For our entrées, one person ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese with pork and beef ragu, housemade raw milk ricotta, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. It was rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Jerk Local Swordfish from Fort Lauderdale with braised Swiss chard, local radish escovitch, and jackfruit miso beurre blanc. While the swordfish itself was cooked well, I wasn't a fan of the jerk seasoning. The flounder, however, was outstanding and probably my favorite entrée. To drink, I had the Les Fumées Blanches Orange Sauvignon Blanc, which I really enjoyed. Someone else had an Old Fashioned. For dessert, we shared the Affogato with mascarpone ice cream, dark chocolate, and espresso, and it was a perfect ending to the meal. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and we appreciated being able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. It is on the pricey side, but that's fairly typical for a farm-to-table restaurant using quality ingredients. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant, and we were lucky enough to grab a spot. Overall, it's a fun place for a date night or a nice dinner with family. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Or if you want, they have a great bar and you can hang out there and have a bite.

Before I talk about the food I want to say that the young lady that was the bartender and server was so friendly and gave great suggestions. The restaurant is small, however it is beautiful inside and does offer outdoor seating as well. Now for the food. They bring out fresh hot rolls with a small plate of cheese pesto and balsamic drizzle. Outstanding!!!!! We came to find out the owner who is the chef, his wife is a pastry chef and makes the bread and desserts. To start we had the Spanish chargrilled octopus. I know I have said this before about other restaurants, but I can truly say hands-down. This was the freshest, most tender, and one of the most flavorful grilled octopus that we have had. It came with a mixture of capers, potatoes, and vegetables in an amazing sauce. Truly fantastic. For dinner, my wife had the blackened yellowtail snapper in curry sauce, and I had the shellfish pan roast. Both were one of a kind dishes. We have never had such great flavor and seafood. Not to mention the amount of food that they put out and the presentation is worthy of awards. My wife's blacked snapper was cooked perfectly had a light blackened coating, and the curry sauce was tremendous. My shellfish were super fresh. Again cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful. The sauce they were in was amazing. For dessert, we tried their homemade Keylime pie, and this too was top-notch and made fresh. We are planning our next trip to this restaurant and if you actually want a true fine, dining seafood experience you have to try this spot. I'm going to say it is priced accordingly for the true quality of food, the amount you are served and the presentation. If you are looking for a fried shrimp basket or fish and chips, this is not the type of restaurant for you. This is upscale seafood, and a true upscale seafood experience. You might want to consider making reservations as they do get busy and as I mentioned earlier, it is a small restaurant.

Some of my favorite things: Kebbet Laa'tin (Pumpkin kebbe, chickpeas, pomegranate, Swiss chard, onion, bulgur): love all the mixture of textures in this Arnabeet Mekleh (Cauliflower, tahini, almond, golden raisins): the smoky, caramelized cauliflower had such a rich flavor- and the raisins offset this so nicely Kanafeh (Kataifi dough melted cheese tart, orange blossom, pistachio): this was not only a showstopper- watching the liquid being poured on the entire tart tableside- the crunch on the outside, with the soft inside, was delicious! Last but not least, the creamy hummus and the homemade pita was wonderful. Thank you to our server for helping us decide what to order- and making us feel so welcome.
