Take all my money! I had only heard of this place from Foos Gone Wild. Drove all the way from The Valley to get Pisto Beer. But Dammmnnn was not expecting a wide selection of Belgian Beers and local crafts. This is no small time liquor store. If you appreciate great Belgian Trappists they have them all...plus I asked about Westvleteren (IYKYK) and I'm hoping that one day maybe they'll bring it in. They also have lots of liquor, and domestics from Big Bru but do yourself a favor and get a Dragons Milk bottle on the way out. Place is clean and staff is knowledgeable. WoW! really... WoW! I've been a fan of Ramirez Liquor for years. They have really grown a great business over on Soto St. I believe their interest and passion in their product is what makes Ramirez stand out above other stores. In corporate shops, a knowledgeable employee may have to convince a manager to carry a new product or do something a different way. At Ramirez, the owners talk with customers, there is no "middle man." If the customers want it, they want to give to them - that's it. No matter who I talk to in the shop, if I ask for something and they don't have it, they offer to look into it and see if it's available and get back to me. This store, Ramirez Beverage Center, is huge. They carry over 1300 beers. They have a nice selection of liquors and have many hard to find bottles. They also have wine, sake, cigars, soda pop & snacks. They have a great selection of glassware at really good prices. read more

The variety of beers/liquor you can find here is impressive for the neighborhood... but do your price checking!! I bought a bottle of whiskey I needed for a specific recipe, I didn't bother checking what it costs since I was in a hurry and needed it for that night . So the other day I'm at Trader Joe's and find THE SAME EXACT bottle for half the price! Such a rip off here!! Don't come here thinking your getting any bargains. While I was there I browsed the beer/wine section and prices are higher than your neighborhood grocery store! Next time I need to make a special trip for a specific liquor I'm going to BevMo . I worked here for a number of months and yes, it can get pretty heavy in the form of work but honestly, I walked out having learned more about alcohol than when I started. for the record, I was a Budweiser/Mickeys drinker and had NO IDEA what craft beer was and now Im thankful for the people I worked with. Yeah, prices are a little up there but when you're looking for "Pliny the Elder" or that very specific bottle of liquor, THIS is the place to go. Had heard such great things about this place and walked in this morning to try to find tequila for my Dad. Had very little Don Julio in stock, no 1942, no Don Julio 70. That's fine, no big deal they ran out but the disappointing part is the employees working at the register. Purchased 2 kegs for my wedding. Even got them delivered. When the corona arrived it was pumping all foam. Towards the end of the bartender was able to get it to work but only about 20% of beer were my guest able to enjoy. When I took the keg in I explained the situation to the girl at the front counter, she said a manager would call me back. No one called me. I called 4 days later they said someone would call me back again, no one did. So a week later I called and spoke to Veronica she basically said there was nothing she could do about it. And that I should have called to trouble shot the keg. Yeah on the night of my wedding, I will definitely make it a priority to call Ramírez Beverage to help me trouble shot my keg. I wasn't asking for a refund on the keg. An apology would have been sufficient, even like a $10 credit would have been great. The best selection of beer and liquor you're gonna find near East LA / Boyle heights. It's a huge warehouse and they have an amazing selection of whiskey tequila mezcal and vodka. Their daily sipper stuff has decent prices but if you want the rarer stuff it is very dear here. But they have a good selection of some of the more commonly sought after rarities. If you're ballin and in a pinch for something decent it's not a bad choice. I would not come here for fine wine. read more

We asked for a good tequila recommendation and I wasn't steer wrong from by the staff of this store on Olympic. La Gritona tequila was smooth and delicious going down with no need of lemon or salt. I generally only go to Ramirez to buy Mezcal or Tequila as I don't know of another place in LA that carries such a wide selection at fair prices. Small parking lot, big but pretty well organized store. This time I also picked up some Gin made by a Mezcal brand that I know (a gift for a gin lover) and this was the only store that had it in stock. But honestly I love coming here mainly because a trip here always involves a trip to the local Mariscos truck(s), too. ;) read more

Whenever I'm driving around if I see a liquor store, I'll always pull over and check their inventory. These guys have impressed me! These guys have one of the best selection around! From beers to bourbon, wine to whiskies, and everything else in between, Ramirez has it all! They even have multiple locations, from Pico Rivera to two locations in East LA, very convenient. I see that some people have customer service issues here, but luckily for me, it's not the case (at least not yet). The 2 girls I've dealt with there have been helpful to me. I've also been in contact with the owner there, and he has been helpful to me as well (via email) and has given me great deals for larger purchases. Came in to buy a bottle of whisky, ended up leaving with a couple cases of whiskies. They also have a nice selection of rare/expensive items, but be prepared to pay, if you want to play! read more

Once I finally made it to the right one, I realized quickly that this is the best beer store in LA. They carry selections that aren't available anywhere else and they keep it totally neat, organized and labeled. I was really happy to see some great East Coast brewery selections... The availability- It closes very late which is convenient for us vampires. The environment- it's a huge warehouse and looks very clean with lots of variety. The signature- Not all beers are cold.
