While the fried foods and appetizers are excellent, in my experience they have NO ability to prepare ANY dish that requires seasoning or cooking skill. My boyfriend and I ordered take out from here in 2018. The Turkey Club sandwich and pasta dishes were bland, tasteless and expensive. We vowed never to go back. After 3 years, we decided to try their food again. I am sad to say the food was WORSE this time! The spanakopita was a mixture of BURNT and MUSHY phyllo dough. How can dough be burnt and mushy?!? We ordered the potato skins to start with extra sour cream. They were so dry, and so old, that they must've been the baked potatoes from the previous night that were not used for service. (on a sidenote, when we got the check, we noticed they had charged us for extra sour cream? How cheap can you be?) Ordered from the specials menu, the Italian trio. I am really not sure why the Randolph Diner has such a low rating. I've eaten here dozens of times and never had a bad meal or poor service. Food comes fast and is always good, their cocktails are great too. They do fun events in the bar area weekly, such as bingo and trivia. Christmas morning , I was excited to go out and have a nice breakfast. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs . Home fry's well done with onions well done. Crispy bacon , not burnt . My exact words. When I received my breakfast my eggs were good the home fry's had hardly been cooked , onions were not cooked and the bacon was burn black . on the ends. I put the bacon and onions. On a plate and they recooked the bacon and the onions. So they took that back and returned with half cooked rubbery bacon. I told them to forget the bacon. Yeah, not going back. Gross. My chicken bbq "sliders" were dry chicken (not shredded) with about a quarter size bbq sauce and stale bread. Bad cuts of a chicken breast. One of the sliders had bit into was just over cold. Sweet potato fries soggy. Sister in law got the special. Pulled bbq pork quesadillas. Meat looked super dry. She ate a quarter of one and then stopped. Brother in law said his was "okay" but again a complete soup sandwich. (Chicken parm). My husband's corn beef sandwich was wet and fatty and bread was complete mush from it being so wet. My daughter liked her burger. Son liked his Mac and cheese but here we are 30 mins later and his stomach hurts. Good times. Pros: Root beer float good Shakes good (was told they'd take 20 mins to make) Good beer Server was running around like crazy but did his best. I used to love going here until the manager embarrassed me and my daughter for using an older gift card that was purchased as a gift to us. I know that these cards were bought at Costco and I am hoping that my gift recipients aren't subjected to this behavior as well. It is not my fault that the restaurant issued these cards without barcodes and expiration dates. My bill was $52 and he confiscated all of my cards which totaled $100. I'm letting others know to be aware of using gift cards that weren't purchased from their restaurant. I didn't have a gift receipt because they weren't purchased there. Came here late at night on the way home from a show in Pennsylvania. Only game around serving food at midnight. I had no idea what to expect, just a diner, right? Well, it's a pretty large diner I'll say, and they have the typical dessert display and giant menu to go with it. I got calamari and the plate was absolutely loaded. The pieces were thoroughly breaded but it was a really light breading that brought out the squid inside. The marinara sauce was a nice complement and there was even lemon to go with it. I know, I barely touched the possible menu here, but my first impression is very positive on food quality and chef quality (at least at midnight). Service was also prompt and frequent. I would definitely come back for a bigger picture of what the diner has to offer... and reading reviews, maybe stick to apps and dessert ;) but maybe I need to try more to balance it out! Went here a couple weeks ago and had a fantastic gyro with a greek salad and my fiancee had the chicken fajitas. One of the best things about the diner is how it's constructed. Plenty of outdoor seating and open walls. Great bar area too. I'm not a "reviewer" but I have to put this out there. I work locally and am without a car. I ordered 2 salads to be delivered to my office. Upon my co-worker opening the container a foul smell emerged. The roast beef wrapped around the rest of the meat and cheese for the Chef's salad is very discolored, and smelly! It ruined the rest of the $18 salad too! Mine is a grilled Cajun spiced chicken salad that was "fine" but the chicken was not spicy at all and it was extremely DRY and tasteless. Saturday morning and was classic diner quality: nice easy over eggs done well, sausage patty reminded me of that classic breakfast sandwich we all know, English muffin was a good size and flavor. We enjoyed a family lunch here. Great place to come when it's nice out as they have a cool outdoor area, which is kind of unusual for a diner. Would be better if the view wasn't into the parking lot, but still nice to be outside on a beautiful day. The inside looks really nice too, recently redone and definitely a lot newer and more modern than most diners. Has a pretty good looking bar area as well. The food though, was just average. I had a special salad with steak and shrimp. The steak was overcharred and a bit chewy. The shrimp fared better and was definitely the standout of the dish. More care could have been put into the salad in general - got a huge onion chunk without much attempt at all to cut it up. On the kids side, they offer pretty good options, but a bit on the expensive side. Comes with choice of drink and ice cream. They have a kids menu that my kids desperately wanted to draw on, but unfortunately not crayons came along with it. This was our fourth time at Randolph Diner . Every other time was amazing. One thing I will say is every member of the waitstaff we have come in contact with has been amazing. Today however my husband and I were very disappointment. My husband had the chicken and waffles and from his remarks- the waffle was delicious but the chicken lacked flavor. I ordered the Garden Egg white omelette and asked if I could have American cheese with my order. When my order came I was excited because I was starving plus everything we have had here was amazing; but upon first cut of my omelette I noticed no cheese and to make sure before I made a fool of myself I sliced down the middle.. still no cheese. When our waitress came to check on us I let her know the issue and she said no problem she will get it handled. She first went to notify the kitchen and then told us the kitchen said to bring the dish back to them so they could add the cheese. When my dish came back it was the same omelette I initially had with cheese melted on the top. I would have expected them to refire the order and start fresh. The waitress was not pleased with what she brought back as well and said I could order something else or see if they could make the dish over in its entirety. I love the fact that she understood my facial expression when I saw the melted cheese on top of the omelette. I told her not to worry because I didn't want the same plate returning to the kitchen. With how busy this place stays I don't think they would suffer a loss if they had remade the omelette the way I wanted it! Kitchen staff please understand that customers should always receive what they have ordered. Because you messed up and didn't read the ticket correctly you allowed a customer to eat the product unsatisfied because you decided to take no pride in your food. read more

I've been to this establishment on multiple occasions and every time I do I leave unsatisfied. The staff members are rude and not accommodating. My table is usually checked on once in the span of an entire meal, if that. It took forever to get the bill. The food is mediocre at best and even that's a stretch. Listen... Everything is consistently good and delicious. No matter what you order, it's comes out AMAZING every single time. Even Sam...he's had the same haircut since 2001 consistency is the name of the game and the food is absolutely remarkable! The staff is always happy and hardworking and the chefs really take pride in their craft. The owner Bobby always has a smile on his face and makes you feel at home. Service and ambiance here are great for a diner. Servers are always attentive and the place has gone through a few renovations so it is definitely nice inside. I've been a couple times and sampled multiple dishes and never have been impressed with any. We have been longtime customers. While the food and service are good, the management is not! They advertised a Saturday sangria pitcher special on a sign when you enter. So we ordered one. But, the price was 50% higher if you order it at the table with dinner and not at the bar. When I questioned the charge, the manager argued that it was listed on top of the sign as bar order only. We did not see it there, since we only looked at the special for Saturday. It seems very deceptive. Another customer said they were surprised by the price difference too when they git their bill. Since it's our local diner, we'd go here pretty often until a few years ago. At that time, we weren't crazy about the food or service and what put us over the edge was getting dirty coffee cups. Now, a few years later, we decided to try again after the total remodeling. The place looks beautiful inside. It's definitely one of the best looking and most comfortable diners that I've been in. The food and service were fine. The prices, however, were higher than typical diner prices. They wanted to make it upscale and they did. It's beautiful and you pay a bit more for that. read more

Pros. Impressive design and layout. Super upscale for a diner. Cons. We ordered pretty standard diner fare and the food was sub par to bad. I ordered the turkey, corned beef and pastrami deli sandwich. The turkey was very good. However, the corned beef was almost inedible. It was definitely pre packaged and very rubbery. Also, they didn't even bother adding the pastrami perhaps hoping I wouldn't notice. I noticed. I didn't say anything. But I noticed. My wife ordered the tuna melt which was terrible. The tuna was completely sour and a bit crusty. As if they left it out of the fridge in a hot kitchen. Which was probably the case. We waited and waited for our waiter to come back to our table so we could send it back and get something else. By the time he returned 20 minutes had past. Too late to order something else. We told him it was inedible and he took it off the bill no questions asked. I'm pretty sure he knew it was bad. I really wanted to like this place. Went during the snowstorm around 10pm, was happy they were open. The manager who sat us was SO UNFRIENDLY and made our party of 5 feel so unwelcomed. He showed us to our table and basically chucked the menus on the table and walked away. Our waiter on the other hand was so nice and friendly. He has been a staple at this restaurant for longer than I can remember. The atmosphere is nice and updated, ample spacing you don't feel crowded and the place is clean. The waiter took our order, and our food arrived quickly. We ordered sliders, chicken fingers, fries, a soup and a grilled cheese with bacon. In regards to taste it was ok, not the best. The sliders were dry, the grilled cheese was over cooked and the cheese did not taste good. It was like processed or something. The Bill was around $141. I think that's expensive. The manager approached our waiter towards the end and the way he spoke to him was horrible. It was more or less his tone than what he said. This is not the first time The Manager acted unprofessional while we dined. All in all not a great experience. read more
