The more I go to this spot the more I get disappointed, the corn is old and has no flavor they microwave the corn now which is just the biggest red flag they barely even drizzle anything on the esquite as well you basically just eating corn with a bit of cheese, so don't bother getting esquites. Love love love this little shop! This place has all of the Mexican junk food you could want. The tosti esquite was amazing, the raspados were sweet and creamy, the hot fries with cheese were savory and perfectly smothered in cheese, the biónicos and tostilocos were perfect. The ladies who work there are angels, we walked in 20 minutes before closing and with an order big enough to feed an army, or in our case 5 people with the munchies. They were already cleaning up, but dropped everything to help us out. The ambiance is giving mexico on a hot summer day and you just walked to the paleteria to get yourself something yummy. Medium strawberry raspado with scoop of vanilla ice cream for good measure! As i suspected it was delicious! Leave me in regret for not ordering a large one instead ‍ The menu is expensive with lots of different items to suit your liking. The lady at the counter was very friendly and happy to help, the establishment is very clean with plenty of goodies to choose from. There were all kinds of funky flavors and a lot of usual flavors. It took me back to being a little kid, it was great. You can get it with extra rich milk, its great! They also served all kinds of potato chips that can be filled up with chili, lime, bits of cucumber, and cuerito (pork grind)... Of course I had seen cuerito before but it just looked strange when I saw it being served with hit cheetos, but it was so freakin good!! The actual name of this mix is Tostiloco. Was craving a raspado on a scorching Day in ELA and Don Manuel's hit the spot. The menu is a little overwhelming bc there are so many options. You kind of want one of everything. The ladies in front of me ordered biónicos and they looked BOMB. I ended up going with a nuez raspado. It was excellent. Not too sweet with lots of nuezes. I personally like the one on the corner of 4th and Mott, literally a hole in the wall. You line up with the school kids and think for a second about what you're in the mood for. If you want a sweet, cold treat, the raspados are delicious. For something cold and spicy, the diablitos combine shaved ice with chopped mango, mango syrup, and chile powder. For more filling snacks, the tostilocos are a favorite. You pick a bag of tostidos and give it one of the ladies. She will slice the side and throw in some chopped mango, chopped cucumber, and cueritos, which is pickled pork skin. Any of those toppings are optional, so if don't do pig epidermis with chips, no problem. But don't pass on the chamoy, which is an awesome sweet, spicy, sour sauce that goes great with the mango and cucumber. You can do this with flaming hot cheetos instead of tostidos if you prefer. They also sell drinks and good, cheap nachos. Everything here is really well priced. They close at 6, though, so don't go for dinner! read more

I like the bigger chunks of green mango and cucumber that change and cool down the one note flavor of the raspado. but the others I have to say were gross. My kids ordered a mango and strawberry raspado and they were disgustingly sweet. The strawberry tasted literally like they opened up a jar of jam and not even preserve or a good quality jam the cheap stuff and poured it over crushed ice.
