This is easily one of the best pizza joints around, a hidden gem on the border of Hayward and Union City. All of the ingredients of their pizzas taste fresh and are of superb quality! Since trying the Carne Asada pizza, it has quickly become a household favorite: the deliciously diced brisket steak, the subtle yet spicy marina sauce, the even spread of cheese with a thick blanket of cilantro has us coming back for more. How could one forget about the crust? Lord have mercy... It's literally perfection. A crispy edge, moderately thick with a soft center dough has got me melting. Honestly, it's my favorite part of the pizza. Beyond the Carne, I've tried the mouth water Brisket BBQ Pizza, the Chicken Parmesan, and the Rayo Combination. All excellent in their own right. We've got into the habit of ordering 1/2 (always the Carne Asada) and 1/2 pizza (something new). Their shakes are also excellent, highly recommend them if you've got room! I've been hearing great things about the wings but my stomach is already roaring at me to quit while I am ahead. The service they provide is welcoming, kind, and predictable (20 mins your pizza is ready!) in terms of good and consistent expectations. The atmosphere is a no frills large space with plenty of indoor seating and a sun lit patio for those who want to be outdoors. They have a large TV for general entertainment, but don't expect too much more. Great for large groups or teams to enjoy for sure. Parking is as straight forward as can be with 0 issues. Went there with high expectations off of the other Yelp reviews. To me, it's like Chuck E. Cheese and Domino's had a baby. The crust was soft and chewy, the sauce plain and the meat tasted dried and reheated. Plus a few hard, unable to chew pieces. I only got a XL all meat. There is a lot good pizza places around here. I'm glad we tried this place today, everyone who had a slice approved! The parking lot is small and the building itself needs a little bit of work but the customer service was excellent. There appeared to only be two employees at the time and they were both friendly and efficient. We tried one white sauce chicken supreme pizza and another pizza called the boulevard special or something like that. Both were super good. I tried this place when it first opened and ordered the pepperoni pizza, carne asada pizza and smash burger. All were great except the smash burger which was "ok". flash forward to today and I gave the smash burger another try and it was totally different, they must've changed something bc it was delicious. It was late Friday night out with some friends and looking for a decent place to eat at 11pm. We were fortunate enough to find this place open and never having been here before we gave it a shot. We tried Rayo's due to the 5 star reviews. We got a large Rayos Combo. Pros: The crust is soft with a slight crunch. The pizza itself is not greasy or too salty. Cons: It could use more toppings and cheese. The pizza has a sweet taste and I'm not sure if it's from the sauce or the crust. Well, I just returned from picking up my order at Rayo's Pizza. Chatted with Robert, who said they just opened a week ago in Hayward (on Mission Blvd). They also have a successful restaurant in SF. Got a few things to try: medium combo pizza which was delicious and generous with toppings. Truly! Also tried their eggplant Parmesan over spaghetti which is totally awesome and generous as well (made to order). It came with a side order of their buttery garlic bread - wait 'til you try that!! So buttery and the texture of the bread is out of this world! I had to call and tell him so, and Robert said it's his bread recipe and he makes it for their various dishes. More, please! Finally, I'm about to take a taste of their Greek salad, again abundant with toppings and looking delicious. Try them out!! read more

I've always passed by this place whenever I am driving down mission, but didn't get to try it until recently. What I liked about this place is that their pizzas are different from other establishments and they had a variety of other items on their menu with their appetizers, salad, veggie options, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, and desserts. So just in case, there is something for someone just by looking at the menu. We placed a phone order and were told that the wait would be about 20 minutes- it's a standard wait time for pizza and it wasn't too long since we were about five minutes away. About 20 minutes later we arrived but were told it was going to be a couple of more minutes. It wasn't too big of an issue, and there was plenty of seating inside. About five minutes later, one of the employees came out with our food- he displayed great customer service and was professional the whole time. We ordered 3 medium pizzas- the white sauce garlic chicken, the carne asada, and rayo's pizza combo. Even though their pizzas are a medium, they are a bit on the larger side. I was only able to eat a slice of the white garlic chicken and the carne asada before getting too full. The garlic chicken pizza's chicken did not taste dry, which I liked since other places overcooked their chicken, but to me it was flavorful. I'm also a huge fan of mushrooms and was happy that they served a good amount of mushrooms onto the pizza. One thing that I did notice is that the pizza was a little heavy on the white sauce, and it made the pizza a little bit on the soggy side. Other than that, I enjoyed it. The carne asada was also tasteful as well, and the meat had a ton of flavor. It's probably my favorite one out of the two that I had tried. They also include pre cut slices of lime and radish on the side to include onto the pizza as well. We really liked the traditional pizza with added tomatoes especially the toppings. The cheese was exceptionally good. It was not too goopy but easily chewed. I would have liked a bit more tomato sauce too. The crust was too doughy and not crisp at all as if not cooked long enough. It was delivery so may have happened in the box. On 2nd slice we recooked it in a frying pan and the crust was perfect. We got a chocolate and a strawberry shake which were incredibly good with rich flavor. I can't believe I found this place only now. We love like a mile away and I do believe in the hype! They put tasty and substantial amount of toppings that makes their pizza different from other places. Adequate parking if you plan on picking it up but if you want your delicious pizza delivered they also do it for free within very reasonable amount of time! I rate it 4 stars bec there was a single time when they missed being consistent on toppings! We've been ordering same Rayo's combination each time but they made the pizza like a very ordinary one with only a few bits and pieces of some sliced pepperoni and a few pieces of sausage. I think it depends on the person or worker that makes it. Despite this, it's still my number one place right now to get pizza from. I hope their pizza stay delicious at all times! read more

Tried this place for the first time last week and was not disappointed! We tried 2 different build your own pizzas with half garlic sauce and half tomato sauce. My husband ordered 2 smash burgers and enjoyed it very much! The guy who took our order was very friendly despite being backed up. Had the asada pizza and Nashville wings. Pizza was , wings were good too but I wish were a bit spicier.

The pizza is pretty tasty, definitely a step above Mountain Mike's/Round Table, but the price point is pretty high (4 lg. pies, one w/two toppings, two specials, and a pepperoni was about $100). The wait time was also a little long; it was NFL playoff Sunday, so I expected a slight wait--was quoted about 30 minutes, but ended up waiting about 40-50 minutes. I think it's a small operation; I heard the owner (I presume) say his wife was making some of the pizzas, and I only saw one other staff member, so I can see how it can get busy here. I called right at 12pm and the line continually was busy; I was later told they only have one phone line; so if the store is on the line w/a customer, anyone else calling will get the busy signal. May be a good investment to run a couple lines to avoid delays in the future (if I had a backup option I likely would have not ordered at all based on phone unavailability). I also tried ordering through the Slice app (it's about $10 more than ordering over the phone/in-person fwiw), but was annoyed my order wouldn't process (not the fault of the pizza parlor but just an annoying glitch). Overall, you get huge portions and the food is good (little salty but it is pizza after all). The parking is a little tricky too (I missed my turn and completely had to go around the corner to get into the lot), but I would probably go back and just order the basics (pepperoni, extra cheese, etc). read more
