Rayo Pizza - Hayward, CA Tried Rayo Pizza in Hayward and it did not disappoint. The pizza was loaded with toppings -- generous amounts of beef, fresh bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and perfectly melted cheese. You can tell they don't skimp at all. The crust had a nice crunch on the outside while still being soft inside, and everything tasted fresh and well-cooked. The flavor really stood out -- savory, cheesy, and hearty without being greasy. Even after taking it home, it still held up great and tasted amazing. Portion size was solid and easily shareable, but honestly, it's tempting to keep most of it to yourself If you're looking for a classic, fully-loaded pizza spot in Hayward, Rayo Pizza is definitely worth checking out. I'll for sure be coming back to try more items on the menu.

I had no idea this place was halal! So glad I came across this as this might just be my favorite, or close to favorite, halal pizza spot in the bay. I was recommended the beef brisket pizza by a friend. It did not disappoint. I decided to make it a 1/2 and 1/2 pizza by doing half bbq brisket and the other half carne asada. The carne asada was delicious. It had the perfect amount and blend of the ingredients and truly tasted like a taco style pizza. I ended up ordering a couple of other items just to try. I ordered the smash burger that came with fries. It was prepared and tasted more like a home burger, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's not like those extravagant smash burgers folks are selling these days, and if you are craving a burger, it is a safe choice. The fries are relatively average. I ordered chicken Parmesan pasta to go and am excited to try that out and report back. My next trip I'd like to try the wings, another pizza flavor, and maybe their shake. All in all, it was a worthwhile place to get food and I recommend you try it as well. Plenty of indoor seating, food served hot and fresh, great service, and they have YouTube TV in case you're trying to eat and watch a game!

Not only is the pizza great (hello carne asada pizza ) I love how generous Rayo's is with community involvement! Outside of the establishment is a giant pixel art pizza which was created along with a number of murals outside and inside the restaurant. I love to see a symbiotic relationship between a local business and a local group (art of the bay). Today a pizza box art show brought me back to Rayo's which was super fun and I had the privilege to finally try the carne asada pizza they are popular for. It lives up to the hype!

Rayo's Pizza is next to Wah Jee Wah. Noticed the large dining area when I dined at WJW. Fam member was nearby. Got take out 4 me. Offerings: starts & salads, wraps & veggies, drinks, burgers, specialty/veggie/white sauced pizza. Slices. Bites: Mediterranean & garden veggie slices@ 6.25 -nice aromatics, interesting tastes when i got it late -next day warming up 10 minutes @350 in convention oven didn't produce the desired result. Both slices had medium thickness. Not reheated adequately. Veggies also not conducive to reheating. Texture of crust-mushy. Best to eat ASAP for best results. Slices a generous portion Mediterranean with pesto, olives, garlic, tomato & feta cheese had a singular note-saltiness. Probably from olives. Garden Veggie was my fav with spinach, sun dried tomatos, garlic, tomatos, mushrooms, artichokes, & onions..sun dried tomatos, 'rooms, tomatos & garlic main flavas. Will only eat in next time.

The pizza here is so good! We plan to go and try all the different slices they offer to satisfy our pizza cravings. Our 9 year old rated the pepperoni bussin /10 (which he explained meant it exceeded 10) and almost finished the large slice in one sitting. He's not usually one to eat a lot so it surprised us. We'll definitely be back!

Wow! I can't believe I didn't try this place sooner! The fettuccine Alfredo is incredible, but the garlic bread... wow--absolutely phenomenal! I ordered through DoorDash tonight, and everything arrived hot and fresh. Super accommodating and seriously delicious. This spot is officially going into my regular rotation!

I did not have high hopes for the food here based on looks alone. Boy, was I wrong! The food was so good. The location is a bit run-down, but most people pick up their orders to go. I was invited by a brother and sister from my church. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I wasn't going to turn down a free meal. The sister mentioned that they used Rayo's for her mother-in-law's funeral service, and the price was extremely reasonable for the quantity and quality of food. I ordered the carne asada slice--taste was a 9/10! I did not expect a carne asada pizza to taste that good, but somehow, they made the flavors work together. They even give you limes to add to your pizza, and if you love Mexican food like I do, you know you have to add lime to your asada. My husband and I shared an 8-piece order of wings. They let us do two flavors. I really wanted plain wings, and he ordered honey garlic. The garlic was really strong in the honey garlic, but as a garlic lover myself, I was extremely happy. My husband is picky about garlic, but he still loved them. He also tried the sweet chili wings from someone else at the table and really liked them. We'll probably be back to order a full order of those soon. My husband ordered a pepperoni and sausage slice, and my kids got a burger with fries. They liked both meals and had no complaints. The people I went with ordered spaghetti and chicken alfredo. One of them is a born-and-raised New Yorker, and he loves the marinara sauce they use on the spaghetti--that should tell you everything you need to know. The fettuccine alfredo comes with mushrooms, which some people might not like, but it looked amazing to me. Both pastas came in to-go containers, which again tells you they prioritize takeout orders. Great portions, though! The restaurant is a bit run-down, with peeling paint and dirty tables, so I would not recommend eating there. But to-go orders are a must! From what I was told, it's run by a husband-and-wife duo--the husband manages the register up front, and the wife is in the back cooking. The husband was so busy handling phone orders, walk-ins, and serving our food that it took him a while to get to everything. If you do choose to sit and eat, they have Jenga and some games to keep you entertained.

OK pizza in Hayward, we were visiting my brother and wanted to reward the kids with lunch, they chose Hawaiian Pizza and I found Rayo's on Yelp. It was close and it was easy placing our order over the phone. When we got there, nobody was inside and nobody was at the cash register. They have a distinctly painted interior so we wandered around a bit having a look and trying to make some light noise and eventually someone came out from the kitchen to help us. They still needed another 10 minutes but we weren't in a rush and waited. Hawaiian Pizza: I always try to support independent place and this pizza was OK, I think I prefer some franchise variations of this but it was for the kids and I did see they had some more unique creations we would try next time like carne asada pizza. Fries and Chicken strips: fries were a bit pale and tasted OK, when they are this size and proportion they are very similar to McDonalds fries and it's hard not to compare them. Both were fine but seemed like they could have been bought frozen and in bulk. I do like how the chicken strips came with some vegetables.

Fairly new restaurant conveniently located in Mission Blvd. They have very interesting pizza flavors like the Carne Asada which is really good! We sat outside since we have dogs which is perfect! The food came right on time. The servers were good and friendly! They also share the space with an Indian and Italian restaurants. Perfect place for a group who would like to eat different food. It was a great experience and will definitely come back.

The food served here is Italian American food. The menu is classic pizzeria with a twist of Latino f. The service is good and accurately efficient. The ambiance is simple, however the food is great. I will definitely be back here soon.

UNDERNEATH THE SAUCE…read more Rarely do I shop at Southland Mall however I was there two Wednesdays ago when I shopped at Champs Sports and Foot Locker. After shopping, for lunch I decided to eat at Adrienne's Wild Wings. I'm a sucker for wings, but I've never been to Adrienne's Wild Wings before. I asked the cashier what sauce she would recommend. She stated one of the sauces she liked was honey garlic. I ordered 10-piece combo that included ten wings, side order, and dessert. For the side order I choose tater tats while for the dessert I selected cheesecake. The 10-piece combo comes with two sauces. I choose honey butter, which is the dry rub, and honey garlic. I believe sauces should be used for flavoring not hiding. What do I mean by that? I've noticed sometimes sauces mask how dry the meat is. I decided to taste the honey butter first to see how moist the meat is inside. After taking a bite two things came to mind. First I couldn't taste the honey butter. Second the meat was moist. I tried the honey garlic. The cashier said the honey garlic was spicy. However I felt the honey garlic was spicy at all. Yet the honey garlic sauce was very flavorful. What did I like more the honey butter or honey garlic? I say this was toss up as I can taste more of the meat from the honey butter, yet I can enjoy the sauce of the honey garlic. The tater tots were disappointing as they were bland. The cheesecake was light. I don't shop at Southland Mall often. If I go back Southland Mall and become hungry for lunch I can see myself going back to Adrienne's Wild Wings.

*UPDATED REVIEW*…read more Came back here about a week later and wanted to give it another try. I saw they had a special on their menu for the boneless buffalo chicken ranch fries and went for it. It did not disappoint. It completely hit the spot and I would order it again. Now that I've tried the wings, popcorn chicken, and the chicken fries, I probably only have the chicken tenders left to try. This spot is definitely good enough to add to the rotation of spots when deciding to eat out. Also helps with having neighboring food spots in the food court to mix and match.

He seemed snappy when I asked to bring the roti first as an appetizer...(we were hungry) and he just said "it's coming". Instead of apologizing for the mix up, the server took no responsibility and said it was our fault for saying the wrong thing. I said there was absolutely NO way we said the wrong thing. He still tried to argue and say he repeated the order twice (he didn't). I said look man, it's not my fault you messed up, we would never order that. Then, we got the mixed tandoori grill and there was a HUGE hair sticking straight up. I didn't get to snap a picture. This server really asked if we wanted another one... He did eventually say his bad for the mix up and did bring us another naan basket for free so I give him credit for trying to make it right after the fact. But then the check came and he bypassed the tip after I tapped. He said, "the tip is for the restaurant, I only take cash." Like wow, not even the opportunity for me to tip the restaurant? And to expect everyone to only tip cash for him? Food was for sure amazing but this server really needs to get trained on service. To not give the customer an opportunity to tip the restaurant is unfair for the workers. Edit: I had to take another star off because when I got home to eat our leftovers I found ANOTHER hair literally embedded in our chicken! Absolutely disgusting...
