Great food and great place to have fun and catch up with my friends the drinks were also very good always a great time

Haven't been since before Covid but went in for a quick lunch. I ordered the zydeco pasta, chicken, and asked server to add sausage. She said there would be a charge (did not specify) and I agreed, as in the past I've ordered this dish and was charged $3 for a sliced link. Well this time around, not only was the portion less than half a link, but I was charged (dead serious) $8!!!! Eight bucks for like 6 small slices of sausage. I was dumbfounded, and the server was like "I told you it would be extra." Well, Razzoo's, if this is your new standard, I assume you will be closing soon just like your old neighbor. This spot was not bad and the food was pretty decent. We went around 6ish for dinner. Parking was easy and getting a table was no problem. The service was good and quick. Overall the food was no bad, I had some alligator and some fried fish. Yes very good and would have it again. Because I did not pay for the meal not sure about the cost. As for eye candy it was hit and miss. There is a bar and that is where they may be some potential. I recommend and would visit again. read more

Oldie but goodie! Still my fav place!!! We went after our kiddos football game on a Saturday lunch time with the fam. We were seated promptly, place was clean, and staff was friendly. We ordered shrimp appetizer with alligator toes for appetizer. It was good as always! I ordered a hurricane on the rocks super yummy, pretty, and strong as always! Ordered shrimp and grits one of my favs and it was on point again! Hubby ordered shrimp and cat basket -yummy! Kiddos ordered more popcorn shrimp with fries and of course they loved it! Service sucked.Our server only had one table ours with a party of 3. She came over took our order and never came back until it was time for use to get the check. I had to go get my own refill. We felt her vibe was off but really didn't think anything, she never told us about the special never checked on us. We were totally ignored the entire evening. Do not get the crab legs. I wasted my money the butter sauce was horrible and bland. The shrimp had no seasoning. Go to an actual seafood boil place for that. Busy place on a Friday night . Initially tried to reserve a table for about 10 people but they do not do call ahead reservations and they only allow a max reservation for 8 people. Your party has to be present upon arrival for you to be seated. They don't allow customers to wait in the front lobby. Staff wear masks and social distancing is somewhat enforced. People are seated at every other table but not all that well managed . There was some confusion while getting us seated but the manager was friendly enough to get us seated correctly and sort out the issues. Our waitress was very friendly and was attentive . Ordered the blacked tilapia, dirty rice and strawberry lemonade. Pretty tasty to say the least, however the black pepper was a bit overpowering. Overall nice ambiance and a good time. We haven't been to Razoo's for a few months and the portion size changed! Our catfish used to be huge portions, where I always had a to go box to take home. Now, the fried catfish portions are less than 6 in. For 17.99 you would think the fish would be the star of the plate. I will say the server was friendly and quick with our drinks and appetizer. Waited 30 minutes for an old fashion drink, went to the bar twice spoke with the manager Tia, who has a serious attitude problem, and is not an effective manager. We tried a couple things on the menu and the standout dish was the chicken and sausage gumbo. Man the gumbo was amazingly good. So good I will return just for that dish. Pictured in my photo is the combo with the Shrimp Creole And étouffée which was average at best. We also tried the rat toes which were also good. What I did not like about the restaurant was that their employees were slow to Clean the tables, seats and floor under the tables. The mesquite location services portion that a baby would not get full on. we got talpia one piece and this was suppose to be a dinner portion small amount of rice and the green beans were in a small cup and it was not even half full. don't waste your money I spent 34.00 for nothing in return didnt even get full. spoke to the manger he was useless did offer anything in return. Great restaurant and service! We had two babies; we got a sling and a high seat for the children and there were 5 adults. We all came for lunch. I ordered the blackened chicken po boy with a side and a side of red beans and rice along with a half sweet tea and unsweetened tea. Food was excellent! Came out hot! Our server Alexis was so kind and that was literally the best sweet tea she made me! The blackened chicken sandwich my mom and I shared it with the red beans and rice and we were so full! The poboy itself (the bread) was kind of sweet. Would I go back and order this sandwich again? Probably not I'll get something else but it was very good! Was very excited to come here on my birthday, there's plenty of other places I could have gone but my husband knows I have a sweet spot of razzoos. Our server took care of us right away and brought our drinks. Our appetizer came quicky behind it. We had 2 gator punches and the Fried pickle chips. Both delicious. Drinks were cold and the pickles were crunchy and hot. We then ordered our main course. My Husband ordered the grilled gator and I picked the fried catfish po boy. That also came out quickly and looked amazing until I realized the catfish looked odd. I've been a cook for over ten years. 2 years at a fish market. What I was given was a white fish, not catfish sadly. I didn't want to say anything because we both already got our food and wanted to leave after we ate. I really wish It didn't make a difference but sadly it did. The fish was bland so all I tasted was greasy breading. My husbands Grilled gator was delicious. I just wish I got what I payed for/ordered. This meal would have been easily a 5 star. read more

It was a delectable treat to cap off a busy day. I brought my daughter, Alli, and her friend, Magen, to feed the homeless alongside Mercy Chefs. Before our drive back to Shreveport, I needed to treat the girls to supper. They both ordered the fried shrimp. They must've loved it as they cleaned their plates. I got the cajun platter, I believe. A delightful sampler where I could enjoy shrimp creole, crawfish etoufeé smothered over dirty rice, red beans, and andouille sausage. That was a lot of food for around $12 bucks. I have to say my favorite two were the red beans and the etoufeé. Simply amazing and I was thrilled with the satisfying heat. Plus, I was given corn on a stick. They need to fire the manager, I just seen a video where the manager didn't want to seat a family of 5 that came in with a family of 4 , the manager told them they couldn't sit together and they where fine with it so the family of 5 asked for there own table and the manager that didn't want to give them his name said no to them and the person recording was asking why and what was the policy for that? They didn't want them to sit there in eat and he called the cops on them for asking for the policy why they can't get their own table and the other family their own that makes no sense at all they weren't going to sit together??? Blackened Chicken Penne Pasta was phenomenal! My kids enjoyed their platters. The drinks were tasty and the appetizers were delicious!!!

Food was amazing. We had the shrimp etouffee and the Cajun platter. The drinks were great too. The servers were friendly and on top of it.

Very weak service. The hosts at the front of the restaurant have poor listening skills and poor service. Instead of confirming phone numbers or asking guests for their names, the hosts simply stand around and avoid eye contact with customers. This is sad behavior especially when the front of the restaurant is packed with guests waiting for a table. read more

We had a little date night and wanted to go somewhere casual. The Jambalaya pasta was so good! My partner got the stuff fish and he wasn't to impressed but that was just personal preference. We go there quite often and will always go. Live the food and drinks and vibe is nice and humble.

It was our last night in town and we wanted some really good food. Razzoos hit the spot! We ordered the seafood platter, the salmon plate, the chicken plate along with plenty of vegetables, watermelon, mango, peach, raspberry and strawberry tea. Epic!! The hush puppies and rat toes appetizers hit the spot. The family was full and happy. Then to top it off, Janet, the manager visited our table, more than once to make sure everything was going well. First thing, the men's bathroom was NASTY. Urinal was out of service, went into a stall and there was S*+% all over the toilet seat. trash was all in the floor and it was very unsanitary. I should have left then, but had already ordered my food. The fondue tasted straight out of a box as did my shrimp entree. very disappointed. i should have known better when i went to a "Cajun" restaurant so far away from actual Cajun territory. i would rate it a -5 if it was possible. Sometimes I'm a snob when it comes to major chain restaurants, but my husband loves Razzoos and their fried gator tail so we come here from time to time. The experience was better than I remembered from past visits. We both enjoyed our food. I really liked the fried shrimp and the corn on the cob. The tartar sauce tasted like it was made in house and not like the stuff you get at most places. The frozen hurricane I ordered was great as well!
