The experience was better than I remembered from past visits. We both enjoyed our food. I really liked the fried shrimp and the corn on the cob. The tartar sauce tasted like it was made in house and not like the stuff you get at most places. The frozen hurricane I ordered was great as well! First time at Razzoo's... its a nice restaurant with a cool aesthetic. The menu items are extremely reasonably priced. Nothing to fawn over... however what made it 5 stars is Brittany's service. Brittany immediately came to our table and genuinely cared about how our experience was. Despite being new, she knew the menu well and was able to give recommendations about food and drink deals. So, I normally don't order an appetizer when I go out to eat. But my boyfriend wanted to try fondue. I've never had it neither since I wasn't born in the 70's. The fondue was so tasty. It didn't have that cheesy taste I was searching for, but rather a light & airy cheese. Not sure if it was cheese or if fondue tastes like that. I also had a po-boy, for my love of Po-boys. I was able to get a both fish & shrimp. When on the menu it says, either/or not combination of both added to the sandwich. When it came out it was humongous. For $9, I didn't think it'll be that big. I was so full off of it I couldn't hardly walk. By the way, the different flavors of lemonades & tea's are only different because of the syrup that is added. My boyfriend ordered the skillet. Went out to eat just to go. The lady wanted Razzoo's so we went and shared the Gator Punch and fried pickles for the appetizer. The fried pickles were battered perfectly and had just the right crunch. For the entree, I had the jalapeño fried catfish. I was a little disappointed as I expected it to be a little spicy due the the jalapeño sauce but I didn't really taste any heat. But it still was very tasty. It was served with white rice. The lady has stuffed fish which I had to avoid due to my shrimp allergy. Overall I gave them 4 stars because the overall experience and the food was still great. read more

I've recently discovered Razzoo's Happy Hour: cheap Hurricanes and half-price apps 'til 7pm! A dozen oysters on the halfshell for $5. $5! And I've never had a piece of shell or a bad oyster (in the 3 dozen I've personally eaten on three different occasions). I branched away from my usual Crawfish Etoufee (which I love) this last visit and tried the Stuffed Shrimp - 8 medium shrimp, topped with seafood stuffing, blanketed in a creamy sauce. I've always had the worst service here. I've walked out a few times after not getting greeted within 15 minutes. The problem is that the food is really good. Today that all changed. My party and I were sat in Nikki's section. She was the best server we've ever had at Razzoos or any restaurant for that matter! Nikki's pacing was perfect. She took our drink order quickly and our food came out in no time. While we were waiting for the food, she kept our drinks full and kept us laughing. I had reservations about Razzoo's... Cajun in Dallas? Really? But my boyfriend assured it that it was good. I was still very reluctant, but one of the corner stones in a relationship is TRUST... right? So, I put it all in his hands. When we entered Razzoo's it was your typical touristy looking restaurant. Like maybe they cater to people from out of town... and I don't mean like Southern out of towners... that know what Cajun food is... more like... northerners who have never eaten Cajun food and think that it would be "cool" to eat some alligator. Anyway, we went at an off time, so the place was pretty empty. We were seated promptly. Looking at the menu... they had your typical run of the mill Cajun dishes. We order an appetizer of boudin with crackers. Surprisingly it was good!!! Ok... ok... I was starting to feel a little more relaxed about this place. For my meal I ordered Red beans & Rice with Andouille. Again, to my surprise... it was GREAT!!! So, my take from this place is... you can't judge a book by its cover. Ambiance and Service: I've been coming here for years and I have always loved the interior. You really do feel as though you're in the heart of New Orleans. Whenever we have family in town, we love to take them to Razzoo's. The atmosphere is just so lively. I've never experienced bad service at any of the locations I've visited. They have a lot of space to accommodate big parties also. Food: You can never go wrong with almost everything on the menu! The best appetizer is their Rat Toes. It sounds so gross but when they bring them out they literally look like toes! LOL! Rat toes are fried crab/shrimp stuffed jalepenos. It's seriously so tasty and spicy. I LOVE it. I also enjoy their Shrimp Creole which is a spicy cajun tomato based sauce with shrimp on rice. And lastly you can not miss their crawfish when it's in season. You have the option to choose from their spicy or mild blend. GET IT SPICY! I promise you won't regret it. Drinks: Razzoo's also has an amazing drink menu! They have a good selection of fruity/sweet drinks. I always enjoy drinking here. I typically get their "Frozen Hurrycane", but if you're with a group of 4 or so you should definitely order the "Gator Punch". Be careful though, because it's pretty strong. There are 6 different liquors inside. The fun part is that it's served in a big fish bowl and each person is given a 2-ft straw. The drinks are also decorated nicely with beads and other colorful things. It's pretty entertaining. Overall, I definitely recommend Razzoo's for kids, adults, families, everyone! There's usually a long wait on weekend nights but I promise that it's definitely worth the wait. Quick tip: Happy hour is Monday-Friday, 3pm-7pm on appetizers and drinks!!! read more

Never seen her again I sit there for another 15. No water tea or anything brought to me. And I took a shower today not like most of the smelly asses that were in there. But guess what I left. I ordered the chicken fried steak last night for delivery. It's been awhile since I ate at Razzoo's and I could not have been more disappointed. The picture showed mashed potatoes and corn. The Door Dash app did not give me a choice for sides and what I ended up with was fries and plain white rice. Really? The rice wasn't seasoned at all, so it tasted like lumpy paste. The fries had no seasoning either. The bread was also under par. The star of the show, the chicken fried steak, was clearly something that comes frozen and they throw it in a fryer. I've had better food from a TV dinner. The Boudin Balls were decent. The quality of the food was horrible. I spent almost $30 after the delivery fee and tip. What a total waste of money!!! read more

Placed a to go order at the bar and tipped the server 20% for doing NOTHING more than keying in the order on the POS. Got all the home and found my order was incomplete. Drove 5 miles back to the restaurant and asked the hostess if I could speak with the manager. A "person" then came to the front desk and I politely asked if we could talk away from the hostess stand so as not to draw any unwanted attention and he/she/they/it abruptly said "No", with a confrontational tone and started to attack me verbally refusing to accept any responsibility and was very combative while the very immature and adolescent help giggled in the background. I attempted to eat dinner with my family, but when asking a question about socially distance seating the manager proceeded to yell at me. Funny thing is, I never asked a question. He walked up to me and before anyone could say anything, he was dismissive and short. The manager, Jeffery Williams, is horrible. I walked in and there are 4 or 5 people standing around, but the parking lot looks like someone just dumped trash in strategic places. Needless to say, I didn't eat there but my family was already seated. I had to take my son to Burger King because Mr. Williams yelled, "they can sit over there or...." Talk about a disappointment. We love Razzoos! LOVE. Generally we go to the Richardson, occasionally West Plano but Monday we were out that way and went to the Mesquite location. It was absolutely disgusting. The floor was sticky from the entrance to our table. I couldn't even sit my purse at my feet. We ordered the seafood fondue which came out in a smaller dish and less bread than the other locations. Our server... she would only come to our table when we waived her down.
