Food was super tasty I love the ability to make your own bowl. Love the sauce station. The service is attentive and the establishment is nice.

This place reminds me of the way Mongolian bar used to be back in the late 90s. The food is very delicious, clean place, I'll meet have their own cover. A lot of options to choose from, and they have the original pocket bread. Definitely recommend.

Menu as of January 29, 2026. No Senior discount at lunch.

Very good, fresh, reasonably priced, AYCE lunch with soup, bread, egg rolls, and Mongolian grilled meats, veggies, noodles, and sauces.

Great food, good location and good pricing. Place is just right to accommodate the fam. Well prepped food and sauce recommendations! I would definitely recommend checking them out

The last time I was here, I remember them closing at certain times during the day. What are the actual hours?

    11:00am- 2:00pm And 5:00-8:00 pm

Does anyone know if they are allowing dine-in yet?

    Yes

Is this place back open for AYCE?

    Yes

Does anyone know if you can dine in yet? I love this place before covid but I can't get anyone to answer the phone and it is too far to drive if we can't eat there.

    Yes

Have they closed again ? I'm here and there's nobody here but Yelp says they are open.

Re-opening day was today and indoor seating is available again!!!

When will RC Mongolian be reopen again?

RC Mongolian was open late April or Early May. No dine-in no contact pick up. Was good as ever. No clue on when dine-in. Maybe someone else can answer that.

Whats the smelly thing in the egg roll?

It's most likely cabbage. Most egg rolls have it.

Is there a difference in menu items between lunch and dinner? If so, please list them. Thank you for your time.

As I recall, weekday lunch was a couple of dollars less. I believe the dinner and weekend price is $12.99 per person. That price is AYCE not including drinks.

The moment we walked in, all the memories came rushing back. Even though the name has changed, the fresh salad bar, delicious soups, the smell of freshly baked bread, baked potatoes, and sweet potatoes all felt just as comforting as we remembered. Our favorites were the variety of fresh salad selections, the chicken noodle soup, and the clam chowder. The bright, spacious dining room and relaxed atmosphere made the experience even better. It's a bit of a drive for us, but we'll gladly keep coming back whenever we're craving salads and soups, yum yum.

The moment you walk in and sit down, you get that instant, amazing "blast from the past" feeling of classic Souplantation. The Game Plan To Start: A big plate of Asian salad alongside hot cornbread slathered in honey butter. The Carbs & Soups: Next up is the focaccia bread paired with my two absolute favorite soups: the New England Clam Chowder and the Chicken Tortilla. If Space Permits: The mac & cheese is always calling my name if I'm not already stuffed. The Grand Finale: You physically cannot leave without building a mountain of soft-serve ice cream. Service & Quality Huge shoutout to the manager, Greg! He took the time to share his personal menu favorites with us and gave us the inside scoop--everything at the Rancho location is made completely in-house. That extra touch and fresh quality make a huge difference. No matter the occasion, I always leave here happy. I'll definitely be back for my next review... as long as I don't get fired between now and then! Highly recommended!

The food wasn't the best I've ever had, but they had a huge variety, and most of it was pretty good. My favorites were the crispy cheese Rangoon, sushi rolls, shrimp with mushrooms, garlic bread, egg rolls better than Panda Express, green beans, mushrooms, and the egg drop soup. I was also surprised that the imitation crab and small crab plate tasted good--they weren't fishy like they can be at some buffets. The orange chicken and jalapeño chicken were both crispy and tasted very similar. The fried rice was just okay by itself, but it paired well with everything else. There were plenty more dishes, desserts, and even a Mongolian BBQ station, but I was already too full to try everything. I didn't check the kitchen or restrooms, but the dining area looked clean. The staff quickly cleared plates and wiped down tables as soon as guests left. Overall, it's a good value buffet with lots of choices. I'd come back.

The Mongolian cook way over cook the beef and vegetables, beef so tough inedible, vegetables all mushy, and I told him again and again to cook it rare. Mexicans always over cook. Unless these buffets can hire cooks who can do proper stir fry, they should get rid of the Mongolian section. This place is not worth coming back.

When we first walked in, the place looked empty, and my wife and I almost considered leaving. Just as we were about to head out, a server came over, seated us, and explained the menu. The $45 menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes such as escargot (ốc), pho, and bò né (Vietnamese sizzling beef steak), among many others. We ordered escargot with tamarind sauce, oysters with cheese, a lobster special, rau muống (water spinach) with garlic, glass noodles, and a ribeye steak. This isn't a typical buffet--each dish is cooked to order. It took about 15 minutes since there were only two chefs, but the wait was absolutely worth it. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. The lobster was a whole lobster with claws, and the ribeye was a generous cut served sizzling at the table. The portions are large, and our server kindly warned us ahead of time--we're glad we listened! The owner was friendly, and the service was attentive throughout our meal. My wife and I loved this place and will definitely be coming back. It's great to have quality Vietnamese food nearby without having to travel all the way to OC.

FANTASTIC PLACE FOR FOOD AND A PARTY!…read more I had the privilege of being invited to a party with some friends who had booked their event with Sea Queen Restaurant and I cannot deny that I was only impressed with the food, decor, staff, and the entire experience. If you are interested in booking your own event here, I recommend it. If you have no events coming up and just want some amazing food, still come here for that too! Amazing dishes are cooked and served here. It is mostly Vietnamese cuisine that you would find here, but hey... who doesn't enjoy this kind of cuisine? There is so much this restaurant has to offer. Not to mention there are weekly events; even a karaoke night. Lastly, if you enjoy sea snails, escargot, and don't want to drive out of the IE to the OC for some... just come here!

It was organized, safe, and still such a great experience. We have been coming back ever since. If you're wondering what keeps me coming back... First, the service is incredible. There is an older gentleman with salt and pepper hair who is always so professional and kind. He carries himself with such calm confidence and respect. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming, but he truly stands out every single time. Second, the OPTIONS. The spread here is amazing. From sauces to fresh vegetables, noodles, seafood, fruit, and dessert, there is something for everyone. And can we talk about the watermelon? For some reason, it is always perfectly sweet. Every single time. I am a huge shrimp lover, so being able to make my own shrimp in the hot pot is a dream. Fresh, flavorful, and cooked exactly how I like it. It is such a fun experience. Pro tip: Here is the sauce combo I put together and it is chef's kiss. In a bowl add jalapeños, cucumbers, hot chili, chili oil, sesame oil, and ponzu sauce. Then top it with fresh cilantro. It is so fresh, spicy, tangy, and delicious. You will thank me later. If you are looking for a place that is comfortable, not overwhelmingly crowded, and consistently delivers great food and service, this is the place to go. We have been loyal ever since we found it, and it never disappoints.

We stuck to the beef and the pork belly which was very good, the beef not so much though. The buffet bar had plenty of options and sauces so that was a plus but unfortunately the lack of service really made this experience a two-start rating. We were greeted (dryly), seated, and left to figure out the confusing ordering sheet. Thankfully we have experience with HotPot and (sort of) figured it out and even after we expressed concern about how we were suppose to order/write down our meat selections per round (which they claim is unlimited but they only have 3 columns on the sheet) our questions remained unanswered. Trying to flag a waiter down to order more meat was a pain as hardly any were available and we were missing appetizers on our "second" but with the way the service was we figured there wasn't any point in bringing it up not to mention the lack of (flat) soda refills. I doubt we will be returning.

The value is definitely the main highlight, pricing is fair for AYCE and you get a decent variety of meats, veggies, and sides. For a casual hot pot night, it's hard to complain on cost alone. That said, there were a few things that made the experience a bit less smooth. Parking was a challenge since the plaza gets very busy, so it took a while to find a spot. Inside, the setup was also a little confusing at first the hot pot being built into the table takes some getting used to, and it made it slightly awkward to get the soup out comfortably while cooking. Food-wise, it was good, but the refill timing was inconsistent. A few items like meat and fruit ran out faster than expected, and we had to wait a while, sometimes close to 30 minutes for refills to come back out. Service was okay overall, just a bit slow during peak rush. Still, for the price point and AYCE format, it's a good deal. I'd come back, just with lower expectations on speed and pacing. 4 stars mainly for value.

This gave us 1 lobster tale to split. Little disappointing as it says 1 tail per meal. The shrimp was great. The scallops were the absolute worst. Tasted like old milk. Really gross! The hotpot flavors were awesome! Our server Shannon I believe was her name was amazing!!! She should get a raise! The decor is really cool. Instead of corn napkin holders all over I'd done different veggies or products to go into your hotpot. Thank you for the experience.
