Super late on my review but this place is amazing so better late than never! I moved to Minneapolis back in September and one the first places I tried out in the city was this glorious place. I wish I could remember my servers name...he was absolute perfection! As for what we ordered the Poutine dish was probably one of the best dishes I have ever had. Very juicy and flavorful burger. Ordered it to go and it was a little on the cold side when it got to me but was amazing after reheating which says a lot. Put the toppings on the side so my burger wasn't soggy by the time it made it to me, will definitely order again. read more

I've been to all 3 of the Red Cows and they always live up to my expectations. The food is good. The drinks are good. The servers friendly and fun. The only drawback, if a drawback, is that when I first started going to the Edina location it was "special". Now there seems to be a Red Cow in every hood that is under gentrification. Some of the charm/uniqueness is lost. It's fun to say to friends "I found this new restaurant that I want us to try out" without them saying, "Oh, I just ate at the one in the Loop". Maybe it's just me, but I love neighborhood establishments and tend to steer clear of any with more than two locations. Let's just hope that they don't open one in the burbs. read more

It is my first time to Minnesota and my coworkers and I stumbled upon The Red Cow. I am so happy we did. We were seated promptly and were able to capitalize on the happy hour (even though it ended in 10 mins of us arriving). We ordered cocktails and appetizers - both equally delicious. While perusing the menu, our waiter gave us in-depth details of the food since we were newbies to the state. Not only was he very informative but very detailed and knowledgeable. I ordered the ultimate and this was by far the best burger I've ever had. Made to perfection, juicy and flavorful. I also had the truffle fries (not on the menu) but was able to order them and I was blown away by the flavor as well as the crunch. Best burgers in Minneapolis by far. my favorite meal there is a heart-stoppingly delicious cowboy burger (that's a burger with pulled pork, bbq sauce, and THICK onion rings on top) with a side of cheese curds with berry ketchup. it is the best meal I have ever consumed in my life. it may be a short one if I continue to get it, but it will be well worth it. read more

Umm we love beef, we love cheese, we love bread, this was the place to go! Justin, shout out to Justin, he's the man! I mean everyone was so incredibly friendly, the host, the woman I thought who'd be our waitress and Justin was the guy who made us go "damn everyone is incredibly friendly here" (we're from California). Love the atmosphere here, lots of space, red everywhere, clean and love the cute carafes they serve sparkling water in. They also have meat hooks hanging from the ceiling which is super dark but funny at the same time (it may offend an animal lover but I wouldn't imagine someone who loves Peta for example, going to a place called red cow but they do have vegetarian options!). The menu and happy hour options were plenty and lots of things sounded good, but Justin helped us make the right decisions, seriously though, we were happy and satisfied with everything we ordered. We don't eat pork and he made sure to answer all our questions and genuinely cared that we didn't put anything in our mouth that would have it. We got the delicious poutine that was somehow only $7 for happy hour...I don't know but it was amazing and super filling actually. I got the Mac n cheese and my man got the double barrel burger ...omg some crazy juicy patties and the melted cheese was phenomenal. I wanted my Moscow mule to be a little more fizzy but still hit the spot. In addition to the great food, we asked Justin for other recommendations in Minneapolis and I'm writing this review as we are heading to his recommendations. The ahi tuna crisps were a great way to start the meal-crisp, and both sweet and savory. For my main course I ordered the manhattan burger. The meat was juicy with mealty gruyere cheese and a delicious dried cherry red wine reduction. The arugula got a little lost in the mix and I couldn't really taste it on the burger. I was excited that this burger also came on a pretzel bun, but a bit disappointed when the bun was slightly shriveled and dry. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it back in while I'm here, but it's a really nice gesture on his part. Bad experience tonight. Staying at a nearby hotel. In town for work this week. Found Red Cow online. Walked in, sat at bar, since I was by myself. Place is obviously popular. Bar back gave me a menu and a glass of water and told me bartender would be with me in a couple minutes. That was as good as the service got. I sat as six guys walked up, right next to where I was sitting, and got served. Bartender never acknowledged me, but poured a couple more for folks around the bar, and took care of a couple of tabs, etc. It's busy, I understand, but when two pretty blondes walked up and sat down on the other side of me, they got pretty damn good service. He poured them samples, asked them what they liked, the whole thing. While I sat. And sat. And finally got up and walked out. Ran into two coworkers headed that way. Told them not to bother. Wyatt recommended the Breakfast Burger, which is 2 fried eggs, a patty that is made of 40% bacon and 60% certified Angus beef, with PEANUT BUTTER, bacon strips, cheese, on grilled sourdough. The hamburger was great. Wyatt was really welcoming, very friendly, and gave us a ton of information about Minneapolis/St. Paul. Very similar to the other locations, burger was OK. The Ultimate burger was decent, but I prefer nearby 112's or Borough's burger any day over anything on Red Cow's menu. However, their chips and onion dip is a great dish to share and their artisan cheeseboard is decent (albeit somewhat spendy for limited options). read more

Although not really advertised on Yelp, this place does a damn good breakfast. We came in really hangry from a bad experience at a nearby brunch place I shall not name. The waitstaff recognized this and immediately brought out some donut bites. It only got better from there, as our bellies warmed up with granola, eggs and burgers. Very very overrated place. Prices are way too expensive for the quality of food and quantity of food. The burgers are pretty small. Just know you're basically paying for the location. I will say the atmosphere is quite nice, a bit too dark for my liking. If you're looking for actual good food, this isn't the place to go. If you just want a place to relax and hangout with your friends consider the Red Cow. I went with a party of 10 and service was a bit slow and they made a couple of mistakes. The. Best. Burgers. Ever. We were visiting Minneapolis and had a wonderful Uber driver that suggested this place for atmosphere and great food. Unfamiliar with the area we took his advice and were not disappointed at all. We love the Red Cow burger mix and their house sauce. I had The Manhattan and it was AMAZING!
