If you have never tried cheese curbs this place would be a great place to try! I did not know what cheese curbs even was until I came here. It's basically cheese that gets deep fried! It's delicious- of course if you are on a strict diet the cheese curbs might not work for you. I also tried the manhattan 2.0 burger with everything under the sun in it. It was a double meat with bacon and a lot of other things. It was a big burger! I also had to try the tots and those were really good as well! Wanted to check out the north loop of Minneapolis. My hotel bartender recommended it. The Red Cow bartender was named Sam and was very helpful and made an excellent pork bowl recommendation. My fellow Yelper said this was a Minneapolis "Must Try" so I gave it a go. I had the Barcelona, regular fries and a Strawberry Swing mocktail. I was really skeptical about the burger but one of the hosts said it was his favorite. It sounds like a funky combo but I really enjoyed it. The sweet pepper, manchego & prosciutto toppings paired very well with the tasty char on the patty. The fries were crisp and stayed hot in their container. I am still not sure how I felt about that super vinegary ketchup. I think that I liked it but am not sure that it paired well with my burger??? My mocktail was dee-lightful! A cool refreshing drink to sip. Service: Everyone we encountered was super friendly and helpful. You could tell by the way they intercated with one another that they enjoyed working together. I was visiting Minneapolis and stumbled across this place. I was excited to find many non beef options and a delicious ahi tuna burger and great outdoor seating. I also got the truffle fries appetizer and it was delicious and so many fries! The only drawback is that it was pretty crowded at dinner time and we were told it was going to be a 30 minute wait. They called us after 10 which would have been great except we'd wandered around to sightsee a bit and then they gave away our table because it took us 10 minutes to get back! Luckily there was another one available so it was ok. Lesson learned to not trust their estimates but the food is delicious and would have been worth the 30 minute wait! read more

About a week back my family went in on Sunday morning to celebrate my sister's wedding (per her request). We asked for our group of 8 to all sit together and the hostess was very rude to us because we chose to wait for a large table to open up rather than take two small tables. Once we finally had a table large enough she made it a point to stare each of us down individually as we walked by. On the way out my sister said thank you have a great day to the same hostesses who was clearly still very upset with us. In that moment the young lady with darker hair working the front said under her breath "next time don't be such a bitch" as the rest of my family walked right by her. Rather than cause a scene and make her look like a fool we are leaving this review and trusting management to handle this properly. Again this was very disappointing because she said it to my sister who was the one who wanted to show off the Red Cow and your hostess ruined our entire experience. read more

One of top places to come for a solo brunch or happy hour. Sitting at the table is nice, but here.... I prefer the bar for the prompt service. Favorite brunch options are: cowhand's breakfast with side of bacon, Huevos Rancheros with the Barbacoa and spicy ranchero sauce Ion the side(got the egg scrambled once and it was so fluffy), and Pete's breakfast which is a good value. Oh and during brunch they usually give you a mini donut. If they forget, remind them.... it's good. My least favorite brunch item.... the French Toast. Wish it were more crisp on the outside. For Happy Hour, might I suggest the Japanese sticky wings with and extra side of the sauce. It goes well with onion rings. Or split your order between two wing types. This is still one of the best burger places in town (amongst a reasonably-sized group). Today, I may have actually had the best one I've had at Red Cow: Double Barrel. The Double Barrel is a mix of several meats cooked perfectly. The combination of ingredients create a tender, rich, creamy, and buttery burger that goes down easy. There is a reason that it won Burger Battle a few years back! On top of that, the fries are solid. Their ranch thick and creamy. This visit I also tried their award-winning Mos-Cow Mule. It was good, but I've had better. The peppercorn vodka was not my favorite. A great place for burgers that is steady and reliable. read more

We came right before a sold out Twins game and thought it was going to be a lot busier that it was. Luckily for us, we were able to get a table right away. They started us off with an order of complimentary mini donuts. They were nice and warm, and tasted fresh and were covered with sugar and cinnamon. They reminded me of the donuts I would eat at Pier 39 in San Francisco. The wife and I both ordered burgers. My wife ordered their Barcelona burger. It came with manchego cheese, prosciutto, piquillo pepper and smoked aioli. All the ingredients went well together and actually preferred it over the Cowboy burger that I ordered. The Cowboy came with Wisconsin aged cheddar, root beer pulled pork, onion rings and bbq sauce. The burger itself was delicious. The pulled pork was very sweet and had a delicious flavor, and the onions rings were huge and stacked high. But the burger felt apart instantly, and made it impossible to eat. I'm usually the guy that praises the messier the better, but not in this case. I probably wouldn't order this burger again but I'd definitely be returning. Their service was excellent. They worked rest fast and got our burgers out very quickly, and we were able to make the game on time. read more

Needed a good burger and got a great recommendation for Red Cow, so I had to check it out. I ordered the patty melt partially because it looked good and partially because it was one of the only menu items under $13. The price (for what you get) is the only thing keeping this place from a 5-star review. My patty melt was really good and the French fries were ok. I was wary of the garlic mayo so I got it on the side and ended up loving it! My friend who has been to Red Cow a few times highly recommended the Red Cow Grind burgers, which are made with better meat. He said they're much better than the regular burgers. I opted instead for the patty melt, largely due to the $2-$3 upcharge on the Grind burgers. We skipped drinks because again, most of them were $15 or above. One of my friends got a drink and it was small and weak, and thus not worth the money he paid for it. We sat on the patio, which was a really nice space! I would recommend it because inside was a little louder. Overall, I would probably come back to Red Cow, but I couldn't make it a habit unless I got a raise! I don't want to sound cheap, but for a pretty simple burger with no special toppings and average fries you can find similar quality for a better price. read more

The burgers here are delicious. Very unique toppings with house-made and fresh ingredients. A must-try in the cities. Once you figure out parking (definitely a pay-to-park area with limited street parking so just be prepared) and make your way thru the waitlist (there's almost always a wait for dinner), I'd highly recommend starting off with one of their cocktails-you can't go wrong, they're all tasty. Their French Onion dip with handmade chips was the perfect appetizer for two of us. I had the Blues Burger which was a little messy but absolutely worth the mess. A wonderful balance of sweet and savory with a little tang from the blue cheese. To end the meal we split a bag of mini donuts and let me tell you. I dream about those donuts. They came out piping hot, covered in a dusting of sugar, the insides were like fluffy warm clouds, the outsides were perfectly toasted with a little crunch. And the dipping sauce. Wow. The perfect addition. Highly recommend getting on the waitlist on their website in advance and then driving there/waiting in your car. It will cut down on your wait time if they're really busy, and there's not a ton of waiting room in the restaurant if you can't get a seat at the bar area. You can also go to the host station to get on the waitlist but we did that and waited well over an hour for a table (roughly 25 parties ahead of us). Well worth the wait though! read more

Instead, I got their 5 grain bowl- the quinoa/brown rice needed to be drained more thoroughly because the bottom of the bowl was full of oily liquid. However, even still, the dish was very tasty and filling, and the vegetables were fresh. Complimentary cinnamon donuts were nice, and I stole some fries from my sister- perfectly crispy, yet soft. A splendid choice for brunch, lunch, AND a night out. Red cow really has it all. I've been to this place over 20 times in the past 4 years and have never had a bad experience. Servers are always nice, the burgers are unique and freaking amazing, you can't go wrong with any app, and they've got an extensive cocktail and beer list. It's the kind of place you'd want to bring a whole group of friends to. The grilled cheese was delicious with the BBQ chips inside, giving it a little crunch. Loved all the different cheeses. Parmesan truffle fries were well worth the upgrade with the sauce they included... so delicious. I'm not even a big tomato soup person, but theirs was so good I didn't want to let any go to waste! It wasn't a perfectly smooth texture, which made it feel more authentic. It also had a delicious garlic flavor. Absolutely loved everything and our server was friendly too! Subbed the sides for sweet potato crinkle planks and truffle fries - both pretty good and especially liked the sauce served with the truffle fries. Always enjoyed their Beer-Battered Wisconsin Cheese Curds too!
