Poorly breaded and marinated, seems like baby corn was not even marinated and lacked sweet/salty/sour burst of flavoring for which we love Indo Chinese food. 3) Chilly garlic and Hakka noodles were okay. Excessively oily. It seemed to me that food wasn't of fresh quality. Some of the food items had a weird stink after bringing leftovers home. Went to this place today for dinner. We ordered Manchow Soupp, Schezwan Fried Rice & Vegetable Coin with Manchurian Sauce. Usually soups quantity is pretty good so we thought of doing it 1/2 but to our disappointment it was very less. Also it was very thick Second comes the Schezwan Fried Rice, it was spicy and bit tangy, the way we expected. We liked it. Vegetable coin we ordered was undercooked so we told the guy to re make it if possible He went inside and got lesser portion of what we actually had. It was bit shocking. This has been a long time favorite of mine. Every-time we are on that side of the bay, we try and grab lunch here. This time was no different. I went for a hike to Half moon bay and on the way back, I was starving and been craving for indo chinese for quite sometime. Decided to grab lunch with a friend here. We ordered masala lemon soda and veg munchow soup for the starters followed by gobhi manturian and everything was just delicious. Masala lime soda took me back to my old memories in India where we would grab this from little stalls outside schools. Its sweet and tangy. veg munchow soup came with fried noodles on the side and it was good too. I would have preferred less of coriander in the soup itself. gobhi manturian was extremely well made and we finished it in no time :) For mains, we got Calcutta chicken and chili garlic noodles. Grabbed dinner here with a friend recently. We ordered the a bunch of things and somehow all the food arrived piping hot at the table literally 2 minutes later. I'm guessing they have most popular things prepped ahead of time given the speed. Drums of Heaven - Chicken Lollipops in a delicious medium spicy sauce and a few stir fried onions and peppers. It was absolutely outstanding. Highly recommended. Chilli Garlic Noodles - Huge portion, very delicious, perfect with one of the curry entrees or even by itself. Black Pepper Chicken - Incredibly good. I was not expecting this to be as good as it was. It's a fairly non-standard dish for this cuisine but it was so full of flavor and we literally licked every drop clean. Paired really well with the noodles. Daarsan a la mode - This was by far the best daarsan I've had in many many years. The fried noodles were light and crispy but not hard and perfectly smothered with syrup and sesame seeds. The vanilla ice cream was really good and not some cheap supermarket scoop. Everything about this was perfection. Overall the food was outstanding, the portions huge and the service was kinda meh (nobody even refilled water and it wasn't a busy service). Very highly recommended. read more

This place is ridiculously expensive for what it is. The carb dishes had very little flavor and I found myself dousing the noodles with hot sauce. I liked the paneer, but it literally only came with 4 slices of paneer. Went here on a Tuesday night around 6:30pm for dinner, and got seated right away. Place seemed empty but it quickly filled up around 7pm. Seems popular for big groups! Food was really good and flavorful. It lives up to its name so prepare for majority of the dishes to be spicy! Their dry spiced dishes in particular were delicious. Service got slower as they got sudden big wave of customers, so it took us longer than we'd like to order dessert and get the bill. Regardless, this is a great place to have delicious and spicy Indo-Chinese food! Must gets: Cauliflower Manchurian - sooo good! Loved the spices used and the crispiness Tsing hoi potatoes - really flavorful and the potatoes were perfectly firm yet soft. Warning that this dish has cashews! Good: Dry spiced paneer - good spice, but liked the cauliflower better. Might try tofu next time. Egg fried rice - was a good standard fried rice. Not too dry, and looked so cool when served wrapped in egg! Daarsan - tasted great! Loved the wonton-like crispiness of the fried dough along with the sweetness of the honey. The vanilla ice cream added a nice fatty sweet flavor, but eating both on the same spoon got pretty messy because the daarsan kept falling from the spoon... Has been one of my go to places and never really believed on the one star reviews for this place on Google or Yelp. Made a recent visit to this restaurant and was very disappointed by the food quality. From soup to entree everything was not as good as it used to be. SOUP - The hot and sour soup had a stale flavor and we returned 3 bowls untouched. Dry Spicy Paneer - The first plate had chewy paneer and it was replaced by the staff. The second plate had no salt. Vegetable coins - The staff replaced two plates of vegetable coins as the first serving was really bland without any salt. Green Pepper and Ginger fried rice - This used to be my favorite dish here. The recent experience for this plate was a let down. The rice lacked the flavor and was as good as plain rice. I certainly believe all the 1 star comments for this place now and would highly recommend the restaurant staff to improve the food quality and take the one star reviews as a feedback from trusted customers. read more

Menu is well balanced with both veg and non veg items with plenty to choose from. We generally order Veg Momos, Veg Coins with Manchurian Sauce, Szechwan Egglplant and Gobi Manchurian. With hopes of redemption from my initial experience years ago, I met my newlywed friends here for dinner. I remembered there were a few things I'd eaten here that were tasty. The place still has chic, modern colors going with black, grays, dark browns and red accents. The Buddha motifs adorning the walls give the ambiance an exotic feel in what would otherwise be minimalist in atmosphere. They are still wine, beer, sake and soju bar only. There are some enticing concoctions on their libations menu though. I had to be special and take the tall, dark and handsome bartender up on one of his personal creations "Calacatta Gimlet". It was so refreshing with lime, basil and cucumber! My friends had the Tropical "Octopussy" martini with a sake simulating vodka with lychee fruit and syrup. That was also a nice one although on the sweeter side. For a couple starters, we ordered the Schezuan eggplant and Dry Cauliflower Manchurian. Both of these dishes had amazing nuances of east Asian flavors. -definitely one of the most exciting cauliflower dishes I've ever had! The eggplant was equally tasty but not all that spicy. I imagine if you specify you'd like it to be genuinely spicy they could do it. For the main course, we decided on a whole steamed sea bass with the spicy tamarind sauce. I also enjoyed the fish but probably not as much as the side dishes. The tamarind gave the fish a tangy flavor and not as complex as the other dishes. It wasn't spicy at all. Although, I liked it, I would prefer to try the ginger wine sauce in the future. The service was also better than I remember. Our server was friendly and cheerful. He could have been a bit more attentive, and we probably would have ordered more cocktails. The girls were great at keeping our water glasses full-especially on this warm summer evening. The prices are pretty reasonable. Unless, you're pounding cocktails, you won't break the bank. I and my wife recently visited this place after the reopening in March 2021. We reserved a table of 2 for a 8 pm dinner on a Saturday. We decided to reserve a table based on our pre-pandemic experience where we didn't get a table on going there without reservations. This time we decided to sit indoors, though there were available tables outdoor as well. We chose a table that had sufficient distance from the nearby tables. We ordered Chili Fish as appetizer, Chilli garlic noodles with chicken and Calcutta chicken as entrees and Coffee Tartufo as dessert. They don't serve tap water any more and only serve bottled water for which they charge $3 per bottle. All the items were really delicious. We really prefer spicy food so one should be careful before trying these items as they are reasonably spicy. The star item of the evening was the dessert. The coffee Tartufo was a coffee flavored gelato and the portion size was also perfect for sharing between the two of us after a wholesome meal. All the staff members were wearing masks and gloves and were taking reasonable precautions. Every table had a stocked up hand sanitizer. Overall, this was a great dining experience. read more

This is the best Indo Chinese place around. Chili baby corn and fish in garlic sauce are my favorites. They have a variety of soups and starters and the egg wrapped fried rice is a must try.
