They didn't have salmon or tilapia and the grand patron margarita was not grand AT all. Our waiter was great...... to the people at the table next to us and was border line disrespectful. I set my salad aside and he picked it up, with no words, and took it away. Didn't know he decided when I was done. He was over the top and animated to the table next to us but we were treated like we didnt spend $100+. Only reason for 2 stars was the food was ok. the lobster looked more like a lobster turd than a lobster tail. we got the ultimate feast with lobster tail, crab legs, shrimp scampi, and fried shrimp. The lobster, as stated above, was disappointing along with the underachieving shrimp scampi that bombarded my mouth with garlic. I haven't eaten red lobster in 20 years. I had a gift card and went. Ordered to go. Not only did it take for ever . They got my order wrong. While waiting another 30 minutes for them to fix one dish. Everything else was cold. The waitress proceeded to tell me she was going to have the kitchen cook everything again. Once I got my order at a total of an hour. I drive all the way home to find out my burger was put in a microwave and the bun and burger is as hard as a rock!. Do not go! Run far far way. When our server finally got to us I already wanted to leave. Something was fishy about the whole experience. She gave us excuse after excuse. I wish she would have clammed up and got our food out. Bottom line - the service is absolutely horrific, perhaps due to just opening. I am not even going to start on our evening. We had a party of 6 and we stayed there over 3 hours. However, I found my trio of clam, stuffed mushrooms and bacon-wrapped scallops appetizer to be awesome. I was supprized how good the food was. I know they have been in Baton Rouge twice over the last 20 or so years. Maybe this time they will finally get it right. Very disappointing service and food quality. Server we had was very abrasive and made fun at my spouse for not 'properly' cracking the overcooked snow crab legs that were a part of our entree. Went to eat at this red lobster on a Thursday night. It wasn't extremely packed and waiter took about 20 minutes to even bring us our drinks. Then another 20 to order our food and then another 45 to bring us our food which was cold by then. To make matters worst after we finished eating we gave a 25 percent tip since we do our part. Forgot our credit card there. Then found out next morning someone went to the Walmart and swiped 200 dollars on the card. Called in to manager and asked for the person who was my waiter and he said he couldn't find the bill since there is 1000 bills a day there covering for whomever was the waiter. Oh well. My server was pleasant but the food was terrible. And it took a long time for my first drink to be served and a very long time for the entrée to get to the table. When it did the tiny lobster portion was still icy cold. You could almost taste that icy flavor like when you get a cube from the freezer to eat. No lobster taste. At least they got the Cesar salad right and the garlic cheese biscuits were very good but I really could have had better food staying at home. Won't go back to the Baton Rouge location ever again. I can't imagine why they have gotten so many bad reviews and such a low rating. The food was hot and exceptionally tasty. The portions were perfect. I took my wife to eat here during crab fest.It took an hour and a half to get the food and it was so cold and dry we sent it back.The second time it was hot but still dry.I asked for the manager who took his time getting to us. I spent about 120.00 with tip as our server was ok. She made our lunch experience wonderful. This was our first visit to any Red Lobster. After reading the online reviews we almost didn't go. We were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed the biscuits and had the lobster & artichoke dip as an appetizer. The dip was very good and served piping hot with fresh chips. Our salad was fresh and crispy with nice dressing. After the biscuits and appetizer for lunch we had the Admirals Feast and Seaside Shrimp Trio. Both were good. The food served was fresh, fried well, served hot and tasted good, not particularly seasoned but good. I did not expect it to be. We will return. Pretty bad deal here. They are generally pretty busy so it's understandable that you don't receive the best service, but they are pretty awful. Not to mention that their seafood is weak relative to the available cuisine in Baton Rouge. When I lived in Arizona, Red Lobster was considered good seafood but in the south, it's pretty weak stuff. Upon submitting our party number and name we were told the wait would be 30-35 minutes. There were multiple tables available but had not been cleared. When we finally got seated we waited 20 minutes before our drink order was taken and then another 20 minutes to get our drinks. After sitting at the table for at least 40 minutes, they took our order. After about another 20-30 minutes, we finally got our salads but no silverware. I honestly think they didn't have any clean because almost all of the empty tables were covered with dirty dishes. Horrible experience, we waited so long and had no silverware so just gave up on getting food. Very poor management. Will not go to this place again. INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED My boyfriend and I came here for a quick dinner before a movie. As the place was slow I expected prompt and timely service however, this was not the case. The hostess at the door was incredible! She's super sweet, funny, and great at her job. However this was the last of enjoyment from the night. We were sat at our table quickly but the server took quite some time before he came to take our drinks orders and equally as long to deliver them. This was my third time to this location of Red Lobster and I will not come back. The last 2 times was OK especially with Mrs Kim service. I had Lobster Linguini at $21.99, pasta always over cooked a little bit, I accepted it as the lobster was good BUT this visit was really disappointed, only a couple pieces of Lobster Claw meats and the rest were crawfish meat. My husband shrimp was cold and the potato was under cooked. The place is dirty including the restroom, the waiter is slow.... and nowhere can see him. Folks, it's RED LOBSTER!!! Judging it by that standard, it's not bad. The cheese buscuits are a winner, and they're free! Our waiter, A.T., was one of the better ones we've had anywhere. I went on a Saturday night (of course there will be a wait time). I asked how long it would take and the lady said 30 minutes, so I decided to stay. The wait took 30 minutes, for a party of four. When they were walking us to our table, there was so many empty tables inside. So we sit down and it took our waitress a while to ask for drinks. We were sitting for 20 minutes waiting for her to take our order. The appetizers didn't take that long, but the food was super disorganized, they didn't bring us our food together. This is my second or 3rd time visiting this particular Red Lobster. My husband and I walked in at 9:08 pm on Saturday night. Although itt wasn't busy at all we weren't immediately seated because we were told there was a party of 6 ahead of us. There wasn't anyone else waiting but we thought nothing of it and had a seat in the waiting area. About 1 minute later, we were shown to a table. SCORE! We walked through the other 5-6 occupied tables in the whole restaurant and sat at our booth. Then we waited and waited. No one came by to say they were our waiter and would be back to take our drink order, no one came by to apologize for the wait. Other staff did walk by our table butt I guess we were wearing invisible clothing. At 9:24 I flagged down the host to ask who our waiter was. He asked if they had come by, which they hadn't yet so he tooK our drink order. Then we waited, and we waited. At 9:38 our waitress came by and took our drink order AGAIN. Not sure why the first gentleman didn't just squirt my tea and my husbands coke in a glass in the 14 minutes in between him coming and her coming but we gave her our same order. At 9:48 we got drinks! FINALLY! I had never been to a non-busy restaurant that was adequately staffed (there were plenty of waiters, I saw them walk by and ignore us) where it took 40 minutes from seating to receiving fountain drinks! Our waitress was Elena, she was Very sweet and polite, but she needs training. We had to ask her more than once for drink refills, we had to flag her down to take our order as she hadn't come back after she put our drinks down to take our order. She continued to mix up what I ordered and what my husband ordered. I think she has tons of potential, she's just not solid on server protocol yet. Also, it's a bit unprofessional to have employees on breaks sitting in booths laughing on their phones. There should be some kind of employees lounge for them to break or wait for a ride at the end of their shift. The only reason this is a two star and not a one star review is that our food order was correct and it was delicious. It's obvious they have some major kinks to work out with their staff which is kind of odd for a restaurant that's been open for years but I think they can turn it around. They have lunch specials, but what our waitress did not tell us is that certain sides you pick have an up charge although they are on the list by the lunches. So two meals that should have been around 15.00 each wound up costing almost 50.00. They are overpriced to begin with for the quality of food that you get. I would not recommend going there. Completely and absolutely discouraged by our experience. My wife as well as my 10 month old went for lunch on Sunday around 12:30. I ordered a cheeseburger That was supposed to be medium well cooked. 20 minutes later it is brought out cooked very very very well done. The waiter asked if I needed any condiments and I told him yes I needed mayonnaise and a couple more biscuits because my son loves them. I walked-in and the hostess was heard telling her assistant to come back to the front and help because--whatever she was doing was not her job (radio communication). Following, I was seated and after 15 minutes the hostess passed our table and asked had we been serviced, I replied no. Later, the manager came and said Josh our waiter would come service us soon. The manager took our drink order, which was water and we waited on Josh. When the manager came back with our water, I told him my niece was ready to order and he said he would not take our order, Josh would--who we had not seen. After 30 minutes we left... Guys, I'll give yall the long and short of it: I havent eaten at red lobster since I lived in new orleans. Thats a long time now, but the point I have is still going to stand: if you're reading this, you're in louisiana. That means you've got about a thousand other choices for seafood restaurants, at least some of which should serve nice fresh gulf seafood. The last time I ate at red lobster, it was very obviously frozen seafood. It's not the worst place in the world, but definitely not the best. If you're thinking about eating here, I highly suggest you reconsider and go to a good louisiana seafood restaurant. My best recommendation would be mike anderson's if you're in baton rouge, but theres plenty to choose from. If you want fairly bland, kinda rubbery seafood... please feel free to enjoy red lobster. read more

We got there at 6:30 pm walked in to get a table and half of the tables were empty but people were sitting outside for a 45-one hour wait due to lack of staff.. so we sit at bar to only be able to get drinks during wait due to lack of bartenders... so we wait for over an hour only to find out they forgot us. We finally sit down at 8:15pm at table only to get our entree at 9:15 by this time lost our appetite to have to pack up our now ready dinner that has been sitting in kitchen for over 30 min until my husband finally got aggravated and started making a scene about the crazy long ass wait and food almost cold by this time..
