Red Lobster is one of those places that has absolutely no business being as reliable as it is. You know exactly what you're getting when you walk through the door, and somehow that's become a rare thing these days. The seafood is consistently good, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between "casual dinner" and "we're pretending this is a fancy night out because someone put on a collared shirt." But let's be honest. The cheddar bay biscuits are the real CEO of this company. The seafood is the reason you tell people you went. The biscuits are the reason you keep coming back. I've watched grown adults exercise more self-control around slot machines than around a basket of those biscuits. The server sets them down, and suddenly everyone's acting like they haven't eaten in three days. The service has always been solid, the food comes out hot, and I've never left feeling like I didn't get my money's worth. Lost one star because every single visit starts with me confidently saying, "I'm not going to overeat this time," and ends with me waddling to the parking lot carrying enough leftovers to feed a small fishing village. My youngest grandaughter chose Red Lobster for her birthday meal. My youngest daughter joined us. Tiara, is our cordial, professional server. We started with beverages and the best biscuits in the world. Birthday girl order grilled shrimp with fries. Daughter ordered Cajun Chicken Alfredo, and I ordered New Orleans Salmon with Ceasar Salad and broccoli. We received another basket of biscuits while we waited for our meals. There was no wait to be seated, but there was enough people to cause a little time to go by before our food arrived. My daughter and I really enjoyed our meals. Granddaughter didnt care for her's so much. She ate a few fries, but not the grilled shrimp. I tried one of her shrimp it liked it very well. She can take hers home for one of her siblings and I can go by Joella's and get her some chicken. That is her favorite place to eat. I think the grilled shrimp wasn't to her taste buds liking. Went here two nights ago with my family, service was good, we were almost done with our meal when my son pulled something out of his broccoli and asked "what's this?" It was a grub (larvae), in his food. Manager came and profusely apologized, comped the meal and we left. I reached out to corporate, they profusely apologized and gave us two gift cards. Give them credit, they handled it well and the cards were a nice gesture but understandably we are never eating here again. My wife and I decided lunch at Red Lobster was in order. After all, it had been quite a while since our last visit. And once again, we enjoyed a terrific meal. We split a seafood feast, allowing us to choose 4 entrees and 2 sides. We went with a Maine lobster tail, shrimp scampi, snow crab legs and grilled shrimp on a skewer. Our sides were a side salad and baked potato. While not on the menu, I added fried clams as an appetizer. Service was excellent. And everything was perfectly prepared and served piping hot. The lobster tail was sweet, The shrimp perfectly grilled, and the crab legs were excellent. Our "side" salad was substantial, so large, there was plenty to split between us. The salad was fresh, cold, crisp lettuce with tomato, red onion, and the obligatory croutons that managed to find a way to a side dish. And I would be remiss if I failed to mention those "awful" cheddar biscuits. This isn't an inexpensive lunch. So, be prepared for some sticker shock. So my wife and I had a gift card to use a couple of months ago in July 2022. We had very tasty meals. Extremely fresh tasting seafood for a restaurant that isn't anywhere near a large body of salt water. My wife is not seafood fan, but I love it and she humors me occasionally. So we went again on our own dime this time. I got the LIMITED TIME ONLY Unlimited Shrimp Feast and my wife got a very delicious 6 oz Filet Mignon with very tasty Brussels sprouts. She a side salad with it. I chose Argentinian Shrimp Skewers that I compared to small lobsters. They were grilled to perfection with that nice grilled taste to them. You pick out the shrimp and dip in butter. I also got the garlic Parmesan bacon shrimp scampi as the second shrimp dish. It was all served with rice and I chose broccoli. They were all very good. I placed an order for the other two types of shrimp dishes they had available for my next serving. I chose Walt's shrimp a traditional lightly breaded shrimp. It was delicious!! I also chose the shrimp linguine. It was good but not great. It was actually a little bland. I ate the several pieces of shrimp and about half the pasta. Could have used a little salt, pepper or a bit of extra garlic. All in all it was a 5 good and a 5 for price. It was only $21.99 for this feast of shrimp. This Red Lobster is always so busy. There's a reason for that. It's a great location. They are consistent, the food is always prepared properly and the service is great. I've always loved the stuffed mushrooms, but I enjoy tasting their new dishes. Like the tuna poke, I had that last visit while I was enjoying a cold beer. It was perfect. I had never actually set foot in a Red Lobster in my life. So, you know, I felt like I owed it to myself to make that happen. It's like puberty or menopause. There are just things that one must experience, as a human. How absolutely awful. That was *not* seafood. Maybe I made the mistake of appearing to be vegan. The lobster was rubber or a rubber substitute. It was like chewing on an angry rubber band. My jaw hurt. The salmon was both dry and mushy. I'm not sure how that happens. Maybe there was a microwave involved. I dunno. The shrimp were okay. They weren't terribly over-cooked but they lacked any flavor that resembled seafood of any sort. They were coated (and I mean just covered) in some bastardized Old Bay seasoning. The green beans were greasy. You heard me. Greasy green beans. Those biscuits were fucking amazing, though. They should just change the name of the joint to "Cheddar Biscuit" and sell those (any ONLY those). read more

What a disappointment. This restaurant used to have such a high standing in the past. And the food was always really good too. They have the social distancing & restaurant protocol down pretty well. Our server did a fine job. It's just the fact that the food quality has gone down greatly. I felt indulgent & ordered the admirals feast. Yes, fried everything; scallops, clams, shrimp, three pieces of fish & 2 two sides. The sides weren't fried, of course, I had green beans & a Caesar salad for my sides. The Caesar salad was good, as I have not had one in a while. The green beans were a bit under done & cold. All of my fried seafood tasted the same except for the scallops. They were the only item that tasted like it was supposed to. Needless to say my meal was extremely disappointing. Mike had the fish and chips. His fish had a different breading than mine. He pressed his fork on it & the amount of grease that came out was rather unappetizing. He peeled the breading off the first half of his fish & ate the fish without the breading. The 2nd half of fish he pressed his napkin into the breading & tried to absorb some of the grease. He was not pleased with his food either. The coleslaw was unusual. The electronic table device had a camera in it. You might want to tell your server you'd rather pay her. I am pretty sure we will not be returning to the red lobster. read more

Shrimp should be white not clear. I've had better seafood at Frisch's. Calling this place Red Lobster is like calling White Castle a Steak House. Long John Silvers has better lobster and shrimp. I can't imagine spending over a hundred dollars on this place, but you can for a " Lobster Fest" . They could make it better by doing what every restaurant does, roll your seafood in cracker meal and deep fry it, same rotten seafood but the coating is edible. I have been craving Red Lobster bread for a year. I used OpenTable to make reservations for Sunday. We were given a table very quickly even though the restaurant was busy. The host was polite and got us the table we requested. We started with the cheese sticks. I think Red Lobster change vendors cause they had no flavor or cheese on top like they use to. We ask for ranch while ordering them and when they were dropped off but we never received it. Wife order Kung Pao noodles with fried shrimp. The sauce and noodles tasted very good. The shrimp were way overcooked, almost too hard to eat. I order blacked salmon with shrimp on top. The sauce had broken up and no seasoning. The skin was undercooked, not crispy but the top of the salmon was overdone. The broccoli was undercooked. I think I just order the wrong entree. read more

My grandson and I ate at Red Lobster last night to celebrate my birthday. The service was so so and the food was awful, barely warm. My grandson wanted the crab legs and I had the shrimp scampi. Both came out barely warm and looked like they had been sitting a while. I had a baked potato and the butter never melted it was cold. The crab legs had been sitting so long they were almost limp. I can understand not wanting to waste with the high cost of food, but there are other factors. I spent $64.70 last night and I don't think I'll be eating at Red Lobster again anytime soon. read more

So, we have, over the years, occasionally gone to Red Lobster. We decided to go yesterday. We were seated promptly and the server was very attentive. All good. The menu, at least to me, is a confusing mess. We all had a difficult time navigating through the confusion of a very large and bizarre menu. We all found food to order, however, and that was fine. As I said, the service was very good. Great even. The server brought out our beverages and was prompt with bringing the cheesy biscuits that always made Red Lobster a treat. Except----these biscuits that used to be large and fluffy and warm, were not warm, were not large, and fluffy was not a word I'd use to describe them. They were okay, but not special. The salad I had was fine. Nothing exciting. My wife said the clam chowder tasted okay, but was actually more warm than hot. It wasn't cold enough to send back, but it was not piping hot. My wife ordered a lobster roll that she was was okay and my daughter enjoyed her shrimp. I had crab cakes that were lukewarm and fishy. The dipping sauce that came with them tasted more like a liquidy tarter sauce. The only upside was that it covered over the fishy tasting crab cakes. The crab cakes were served over tasteless rice. The side of broccoli was actually good; substantial and cooked nicely. And....all of this comes at a pretty steep price for what you get. There was an adequate amount of food, but it wasn't the quality one would expect for the prices. This place is a place I'd give 2/1/2 stars. For the value and quality it's not worth the money. It's not a terrible place but there are much better options for restaurants in the area. read more

I love seafood but rarely get to go due to health issues and dietary needs. But the General Manager ( Carrie ) went way above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed one of the best meals I've had in a long time. She is fantastic! During Christmas holidays some weeks ago my wife and I spent an hour one evening, after Christmas shopping, at one of our old standbys, Red Lobster. To be honest, the food was around a 3 or 3.5. My fish platter, and my wife's shrimp, were both OKAY but the fish was lacking a distinctive crisp and my wife's shrimp wasn't as flavorful as usual. However, I am scoring RL a four for ONE main reason: the service! Our server, Alisa (spelling?) was AWESOME!!! She had a delightful personality and one top of things with gusto. My wife's Sprite kept coming to the table lacking carbonation--not a huge deal, but not pleasant, either. Alisa (correct my spelling if wrong!) was patient and deliberate in getting it right. YES! She kept my coffee filled as well, and attended to our needs, in spite of being SWAMPED, in a tireless and gracious manner. I later told my wife that I did not feel like she was merely working for our tip--although I did give her a big one: I felt like she genuinely was striving to deliver her best, and that is a work ethic that deserves public recognition. I love RL but dinner was more on the average side on this recent visit, no offense. But Alisa BUMPS the score to a four-out-the-door with her exemplary professionalism. I told her we would probably ask for her next time we're in RL and that is quite likely to happen, and hopefully she'll be on the clock. Here we have a typical Red Lobster the Mecca of chain seafood restaurants. It's definitely not the finest seafood available but it hits the spot 9 times outta 10. All their dishes come out hot and fresh in what seems to be a sea full of options. Their menu is thick and the biscuits never disappoint. The menu is also colorful with an ocean full of items from hot soup to grilled fish of almost any kind. The sides are also pretty hefty like a bottomless ocean of Cheddar Bay biscuits. We probably scarfed down three baskets of those with just a party of five. The Cajun pasta is always a hit, the salads are fresh, and you just can't beat any grilled fish they seem to offer. I enjoyed the Admirals Feast. All the fish was lightly breaded and the sauce was succulent throughout the entire experience. All in all you get decent food and decent service leaving you with a full belly sure to throw you overboard. Red Lobster has changed some things around with the menu since I last visited and I commend them! They added a little Asian flare with dragon broccoli, which is deep fried and drizzled with a sweet and spicy sauce and absolutely delicious. This particular location is older, but well maintained and has always been clean when I visit. On this visit, we received outstanding service, our server was extremely attentive without being annoying. We went during lunch on Memorial Day and while it was a bit busy, we never had to ask for anything, our server took great care of us. For someone who claims to not like seafood, I was pleasantly surprised all the way around. We arrived about 5PM, Saturday evening. They weren't crowded at all. I really love the fact that this place seems very large on the inside so as to not feel like you are rubbing elbows with other diners. The food: Like I said, I've always claimed to hate seafood. Recently I've started eat salmon and love it. We ordered a dinner sampler. We had salmon, chili (something) shrimp, and crab legs. The salmon was delicious. The crab legs- Amazing! Again, this coming from someone who doesn't eat seafood. However, it was delicious and I kinda regretted that I didn't get more crab legs. I left wanting more to be honest. Lol. Your typical red lobster. The food is good for the most part. I've been there couple times where the food wasn't that that great but for the most part it's pretty decent. The thing that I do not like about this red lobster is that the service is hit or miss. We have had excellent service where the server is nice, polite, friendly and prompt. That is my reason for the two star rating Once, my husband and I went with his mother we ordered our food and it was brought to us with no issues. After my husband finished my baked potato, he was pretty much full and told the server not to worry about his shrimp, that he didn't want them because we were ready to leave and shrimp are nasty microwaved. The server said OK I'll see what I can do. He comes back in a couple minutes with the shrimp in tow and said don't worry about it you can have them free of charge. We asked for a box and the check. The server comes back with the check which low and behold has the shrimp on it and he said I'm sorry but since you're taking the shrimp with you my manager said we have to charge you for them. My husband said that's fine you can keep the shrimp I don't want them. So after we waited forever for the shrimp and were told that we could have them due to the wait we ended up going home without the shrimp. When we asked to speak with the manager, she was too busy to come out and handle the situation. We asked in the lobby what her name was and they told us it was V! Seriously? Is this Shameless! Where are Kevin and Fiona? If good service is important to you, I would definitely avoid this location.
