My friends and I went to the Red Lobster on Monday night for endless shrimp. I had been wanting to go but came away a little disappointed. Service was spot on but their food leaves a little to be desired. The meal started with the delicious cheddar biscuits, always yummy. We all got endless shrimp, the Nashville shrimp got a thumbs down from all of us, the breading over powers the shrimp, Mediterranean shrimp got a good as well as the breaded shrimp which you can't go wrong with as long as they roll out the cocktail sauce. Sides are your standard and they were all ok as well as the salads. For what you pay I always think it should be better. Try the four course meal which includes soup, salad, entree, and dessert. My wife and I ate there 9/16/17 for dinner. I chose the Endless Shrimp and my wife ordered a steak and baked potato off of the menu. The baked potato was a "rock". However the steak was nicely done. The Nashville Shrimp coating was all that you could taste. The flavor of the shrimp never made it thru. May as well just ordered the coating deep fried. The rest of the shrimp was okay. You know I appreciate Red Lobster for what they are, and I try my best not to compare them to some of the better and cheaper seafood at other restaurants. No, of course not, because they're the Applebee's of seafood, and you have to go there expecting that. Lobster fest is a total joke. Not only was my lobster tiny but it was over cooked and cold. I'm guessing it had just been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Trust me, I grew up on the coast, just save your money for when you can make it to the beach. Good was so/so. I ordered the endless shrimp. Teriyaki barely had any sauce on them. The others were decent. The dipping sauce for the coconut shrimp wasn't too good. The rice was bland. Since seeing the lobster tacos advertised and a co-worker telling me how good they are, I dragged my husband there for an early dinner Saturday night. They were actually busier than expected at 5:30, but the wait was very short. We were told 10 minutes so we sat at the bar, ordered drinks, and as soon we we were served, our table was ready. The bartender and our server were both great and very well-trained. Our server brought water and biscuits (delicious!) and we ordered the coconut shrimp (free appy coupon since I registered online) which were very good. They came with pina colada dip and I thought they were just as good as Outback's. We each had a house salad, and my husband got the tilapia with rice and broccoli. He prefers swordfish and mahi mahi, but they were not on the menu. I had the lobster tacos. There were 3 and came with a lobster tail and rice. They were good, but not as good as I was expecting. I would have prefered the tacos shells be soft. They were a little crunchy...not hard, almost as if a little stale. Some say great service...some say horrible. My waitress was VERY BAD! She brought the wrong item and tried to tell me otherwise! Crabcakes and shrimp..;.do they look alike to you?? Since some waiters are good and some horrible I suggest strongly that they RETRAIN all of them. My waitress looked depressed, it took too long to be served...the wrong item! No refills on drinks, didn't bring a to go cup for one of us...Aren't they the last ones to see the food before you get it? Shouldn't they verify that they have the right items? We all have bad days but I've worked in a field with the public and you must fake that smile! Deliver the right items! Retrain! Shadow the wait staff to be sure they don't need correction. Bernal (sp) was an excellent server tonight! He was very professional, patient and understanding regarding my grandsons "special diet".

The best thing on their menu is the biscuits! I had the ultimate platter on New Years day and we got a side of calimari with it. Everything was so greasy and buttery which I expected since the shrimp was drenched in butter. I only ate a few and had to toss the rest. The calimari was mixed with fried broccoli that was hardly warm. I'd only come here for biscuit, i'd rather pay twice as much for a dish at a true non chainy restaurant. read more

Adequate meal...the wait-staff was great, but the food was eh.

Good service, quick and friendly. It's been a long time since our last visit (in another city) but the food is still ok. We're there for lunch, lobster bisque and a grilled shrimp salad. Tiny bits of lobster in the bisque and a little heavier than I like but ok overall. The grilled shrimp on the salad was neither cold nor hot, just a stranger lukewarm. Don't know what temp it was supposed to be. Again the service was terrific and the food all right. May try again. read more

Made a 7:15 PM reservation for NYE well over 24 hours in advance. Went to the hostess station only to find out reservations were not being honored and our wait would be "15-40 minutes" (?????). We looked past their oversight and sat on their waiting list for over an hour before we decided to leave for BD's Mongolian BBQ where we got immediate service, cheaper drinks, and an overall cheaper bill with far better service and food!!! Very poor customer service on Red Lobster's part to not honor a simple reservation for a party of two. read more

Came here for my brother's birthday with all the family. Our waiter Brandon was amazing!!! He was friendly, energetic, quick, and hilarious! He did an amazing job the entire evening. Like always when we come here, the food was fantastic! We all were very pleased with our orders...everything came our correctly and was also hot and fresh. I feel like there is more I could say because we always have a really good experience here. We paid for dinner and got dinner and a show! Lest you get the idea that Brandon was intrusive and hovering, he was not. He just made our entire experience really, really enjoyable! I'd recommend this place any time! read more

Don't bother. Really high cost for wicked low quality food. When this location first opened and for a year after, the food was quite good. However, after a year or so break, the wife & I went there last Saturday January 4, 2014 afternoon and it was really, gosh awful. $4.95 for a tiny cup of clam chowder that was white soupy milk with literally a couple of cubes of potatoes and even fewer clams. Crazy ridiculously bad. Then the fish sandwich came - a poorly fried piece of something on a dry bun and soggy, mushy french fries - this was $9.95. Honestly, it was so much money for such bad food that I thought - I need to share this...so I signed up a Yelp account (my sister is a huge fan) and wanted to post this. Never ever again. My meal was perfect. The salmon was a piece of heaven. Crunchy, crispy and well grilled. The same for the shrimps in addition that they were very flavorful. Now, the lobster tail that I had was not up to red lobster's standards. It was tasteless, chewy and somehow doughy!!! I mentioned it the great server we had so she sent me the manger who comped my whole meal that I didn't ask her to do that. Usually am happy with meals here but had a very disappointing experience on 4/21/18, about 2 pm. Wanted the "roasted green beans and mushrooms" but they had run out and since it was a part of Lobsterfest , which ended 4/22, hadn't re-ordered. So we both got asparagus. While waiting we unwrapped our utensils which were covered with a gray film. Not food residue, looked like the dishwasher needed adjustment or they were using the wrong amount of detergent. Very nice waiter brought another set, also sets of plasticware usually included with takeout meals. We ended up using that as the second set of "silverware" was just as gray as the first. At first when our food arrived I was pleased to see that the asparagus was nice thin stalks but then realized they had been massively overcooked, dark and actually crunchy, a real crime with such nice spears and especially since it cost extra! Also they had apparently decided melted butter in a side container was too much trouble, appeared to have poured an entire ladleful of it all over the platter. The white/wild rice mixt was absolutely sopping and virtually inedible and the seafood tasted fine but was dripping with [unwanted] butter. Even the biscuits were so soggy with butter I wondered if they'd been dropped in it. At least our service was good, although a bit slow, and we tipped him as he had not created that mess. Wanted to talk to someone about this, especially the utensils, but of course no one at the front desk when we left. Will be a while before I risk going here again--a shame, I've always liked it. Decided to try this place after 10 years of avoidance due to past experiences. We had lunch on Sunday afternoon. Ordered the stuffed mushrooms as our wait staff explained these were the most popular appetizer. We received 6 smallish mushrooms stuffed with at most 2 detectable pieces of crab meat. This appetizer was covered in homogenized butter flavored sauce and cheese and salt and garlic (this is a trend). For main course I ordered the shrimp linguini. Amazed when it arrived that they use SALAD shrimp in my main course. This of course was covered with the same butter flavored sauce and cheese and salt and garlic......Let me repeat, Salad shrimp in a main course??? really?? Then comes the check which was a receipt placed right on the table, no booklet or anything,...... classy. We were left wondering if we needed to take this receipt and pay at the cashier up front??? We had a party of 15 for a birthday dinner last night. Because this Red Lobster has a lot of booths it can be difficult to seat this many at one table. The hostess was able to perform miracles and seat the whole party of teen age girls at one table and get a smaller table of adults close by. Since they don't take reservations we had to wait about an hour but we felt like that was a reasonable wait for that large party. We had two male waiters waiting on the table. They were both very efficient and nice. We had our food in a timely manner and they handled all the separate checks without any issue. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, enjoyed the atmosphere and everyone left stuffed and satisfied with their meal. read more

Order the ultimate feast it use to be 25$ now it's 27$ the salad is soo much smaller you get less crab legs and less shrimp. So the price goes up but the food is less than it use to be. Why the price goes up but the food less I don't know. But for the price you should get more food. read more

Went with a party of 4 when the restaurant was not particularly busy. Could not get anyone to wait on our table, even after getting up and telling a waiter that our table was not being served. Walked out after 20 minutes, never having been served. If you want to experience the worst possible service this is where you want to go. Too bad one star is the lowest rating I can give. read more

The biscuits are great, the grilled fish is good, love the new green beans and change in fries. Eat lunch here about once a week. Getting really tired of the waitresses rushing us out. I get asked about dessert two bites into my meal, so the waitress can bring the check when we are not even half-way done eating and get ignored the rest of the meal since the check is dropped off and we are not getting dessert- so no more drink for you if it runs out during your meal. In and out in less than 45 minutes. But would like to have a refill for my $3 coke and not rushed to eat so fast. And PS- we do discuss dessert after we finish and usually order it, but say no if we are asked before we are done our meal because of feeling rushed and then ignored. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE. This restaurant is severely disorganized and not clean. My husband worked here and on his FIRST (AND ONLY) DAY a glob of what looked to be mold fell from the ceiling tiles and into the shrimp. The kitchen cooks served it anyway. They also kept the kitchen in a gross condition, didn't sweep the floors, and the kitchen employees were free to leave whenever they felt, leaving the few employees to do the rest of the workload. I would never take a chance eating here. And to top it off, my husband never got a paycheck or I should say paycard for his work. Needless to say I wouldn't want to work here either. read more

Went to Red Lobster on Sawmill Road in Columbus last night for my daughters birthday. We couldn't have been more disappointed. The waitress was rude, 75% of the food we ordered was not available and an hour after we ordered and the food finally came out it was cold and incomplete. The steak and shrimp meal came out without the shrimp.This restaurant needs to understand the concept of customer service and it starts with management. Fire them all and start over. read more

I am not a fancy food person. By any means. So I could care less about the rep that places like Red Lobster, or Olive Garden, or whatever else have. This place has yummy biscuits and crab legs, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly. I always enjoy coming here with family or friends, and I will keep coming back. Yuck, yuck, yuck on my salty choice of the Ultimate Feast with the most salty crab legs I've ever had, but the best décor and ambiance of any Red Lobster!!!. My mom loved her fresh whitefish with salsa, but my Ultimate Feast was salty, salty, salty!!!! Drank gallons of water when I got home!!! We were told that the crab legs are coated in salt when they are caught, but are rinsed before cooking. I beg to differ. We also ordered stuffed mushrooms and we couldn't get past the massive amount of oil. read more

I went to this restaurant about 9:30 P.M. I understood that it was kind of late and I was the last customer. I had encountered the worst customer service at this restaurant. The young gentleman just threw the bowl of salad and walked away without any greeting. He seemed like in a hurry and looked some what tired. When he brought out the food, he wasn't even talk to me in a friendly way. The crab legs were still cold and frozen, and salty. I did not even finish my meal. So, I said to him, you looked tired. He told me that it had been a long day for him. He walked away. Later, his manager came out and I explained to her about his poor customer service communication skill. She said that she won't charge the food. She offered a free meal. That was a big turn off, rude, and very lame when she said that. I came here for the food, enjoyed the meal, appreciate the quality of customer service, and willing to pay for my meal. I wasn't there seeking for free meal. The bill was $3.49. I put out $20 and left. I'd never write any negative review, because that's not my style. I have class and self respect. I am a very generous and an educated person. I would never do anything to harm or hurt anybody. I decided to write a review about this restaurant, hopefully they can improve their customers service in the future.
