5:05 pm on a Wednesday afternoon. I walk up to the front door, and a man from behind approached. As a gentleman would, I held the door open for him, and he stepped in, not returning the favor with the 2nd set of doors. Inside, the host and hostess are struggling through what appears to be a shift change and a lack of servers. The city employee whom I allowed past me was promptly offered a table, with the caveat that it would be 5 minutes before his server would see him. All this, even though the other half of his party had not arrived. I was here to dine alone. Alone. That would be the theme for the next 40 minutes. Soon after, I was perched with the same speil, though my way time was to be 15 minutes. I was ushered to my table, right next to the scallywag, who took advantage of my generosity, accompanied by a post-it note stating my arrival time of 5:14 with a wait time of 15 minutes. Ok. 5:30 would come soon enough as I sat there with my phone. Alone. A few minutes pass. The server comes by to state she would be with us (myself and my shameless neighbor) as soon as possible. Soon thereafter, she asks my next- table nemesis for their drink order. They are ready to order food. Fantastic. She can grab my drink order, and I'll have something to sip on for the next few minutes until my time comes. 5:30 comes. 5:30 goes. Next thing I realize, the motley city workers had been delivered their food. I've yet to place a drink order or even offered a glass of water. I just sat there. Alone. Finally, at 5:45, the server returns to START my drink order. No apology. No remorse. 15 minutes after the glowing sticky note staring at her shoes how long I've sat there. Alone. I couldn't take it. I got up, went to Popeyes, and got a flounder sandwich for $5. Alone. read more

I haven't been to a Red Lobster in probably 10 plus years. We are visiting from out of town and this location is super close to our hotel so we decided to give them a try. The cheese biscuits were just as delicious as I remember! My wife got the seafood fest ( think that's what it was called) and she really likes it. I got the 12oz NY strip it was seasoned really well and cooked almost perfectly to my order. Very pleased! read more

Went with family on a Saturday. We did call ahead. Got there 10 mins early but we had to wait about 25 mins. Tons of open tables but no help. Sad for sure. Years ago this place was hopping on a Saturday night. Service extremely slow as once we were seated we waited 25 mins for the waitress. Food was a little better than average. So sad to see this place has gone down hill. Other chain restaurants in the area do not have this sort of problem. Sad as this. Indicates a management problem. I want to give zero stars!! Tonight was the worst. We were there for 3 hours. When we got there, the hostess told us a 20 min wait. We waited 45 min. Got our seat, and the server took another hour to bring our drinks. We ordered our food and appetizer at the same time. Another hour passed, and we finally got our appetizer. After another 40 min, we finally got our food. It was cold, some was undercooked, and my husband and i crab legs were overcooked. After talking to the server and letting her know, the poor server said that she had to cook our food. Also that things changed, and they are now sitting 15 tables per server. There were only 3 servers tonight. So many other people complained and walked out. We asked to speak with the manager, and she refused to come out. The place was dark, hardly any lighting. Stopped in Red Lobster today around 3. Greeted by someone we could barely understand. Told her we wanted to sit at the bar. Was told no. Wait! What? She said the bar was closed. We can't sit at the bar and the bar is closed YET there is a couple sitting up there. She said "oh they've been here for a while". HUH? I said what difference does that make!?! She said I don't know. I was told no more at the bar!?! WTF!?! WHY!?! Is it because you have a lazy bartender that doesn't want to deal with more than 1 couple? I mean seriously! W T F!?! So, I said well we're leaving then. I wanna watch football and I don't wanna be stuck in this dark hole. She said oh I'm sorry. Ok. Off she went. What has happened to customer service anymore. We had such a great experience at red lobster! Our server Thomas was super friendly and attentive to our needs. It was the first time in a long time we didn't have to go searching for the server at a restaurant. He ensured our food was out in a timely manner. Pam the manager came up and greeted us while we were sitting down. We noticed she did this to all the tables in the restaurant. She really made us feel welcomed and ensured we were happy with the service. She was very upbeat and you could tell she really cared about the satisfaction of her customers. Went to Red Libster last night. Had the new "endless shrimp" for $21.95. The shrimp was good and server about average or a little above. I order more shrimp ( since suppose to be endless) and took about 20 minutes. I ate the shrimp and requested another one( about 6 medium shrimp) . Finally got it 30 minutes later after I was full. Server said sorry for delay and offered a 2 go box, which I took. We were there almost 2 hours and it was crowded. I think they delay seconds so you don't eat too much and your brain catches up with your stomach. I'll keep going there but won't order endless again- more shrimp on the SeaSide order than the endless and cheaper! read more

We ordered lobster, scallops, and salmon grilled. The lobster and scallops were tasteless. There was not a good sear on the scallops. The lobster looked like it wasn't cooked all the way and was skinny and flimsy. Not what I am used to. The salmon was well cooked and was the star of the dish. I was invited by Red Lobster to come and try their lobster. Very disappointed. I can go to Publix and buy all of these seafood items and cook them myself, which is what I plan to do in the future. read more

We called ahead at 6:41, got hung up on twice and finally were able to put our name in, girl said 45-60 minutes wait. We arrived and checked in and were told the same thing. Three quarters of the restaurant was dark and empty with no one at the tables. I think I counted two girls trying to manage the check-in and seating, two waitresses and one busboy in the entire place. We had plenty of time to count employees because we waited and waited and waited to be assigned a table. Many people came and left after hearing the wait was 45-60 minute even after they had called ahead, at one point it got to be 1-2 hours. But finally we got a table, and we should have left at the point that we go a dirty dish placed in front of us for appetizers, but we didn't because things happen. My wine took 20 minutes to get because "The bar was backed up" Really? So then my salad which was supposed to have ranch on the side comes out dripping with dressing and the lettuce was brown on the edges, because "the kitchen staff was slammed". We never did get a replacement plate for appetizers, but when our Granddaughter found a long hair in the biscuits we felt we shouldn't even ask for another plate. The crab came out as requested but without anything to put the shells in until we flagged down the waitress after waiting for her to bring one and now she said the "kitchen was backed up". Oh and then the second glass of wine took 20 minutes because "the bar was backed up". Did I forget to mention that the one busboy drops a huge tray of dirty dishes and glasses and ice and everything went all over the place and actually hit my daughter's leg. There was no Manager on duty, because we asked, and we didn't not tip the waitress because even while not being very good, she had no support. I absolutely love Red Lobster. Today my husband and I had lunch at the Melbourne FL location. Our waitress got the order wrong and brought my husband the wrong food. We requested extra tarter sauce and also asked for a few extra paper napkins. Our waitress brought us extra tarter sauce sort of. She filled up four tiny containers that were half full of tarter sauce, essentially only giving us one serving each. The fish was gummy and wasn't very good. The baked potatoes were cold and after waiting another 30 minutes she brought my husband his actual order. Our drinks were empty and she never got more drinks. All in all it was a horrible experience. The waitress acted like we were an inconvenience, and throughout the entire service she was actually quite rude. We are happy go lucky people and never set out to offend anyone. She was obviously mad at us for some reason. We also saw other employees glaring at us like we did something wrong. I have no idea what that might have been. I figured that there must be a tarter sauce shortage and our asking for a little extra was out of line. It was actually ridiculous, and as much as we love Red Lobster, I highly doubt we will eat there again. We don't have the opportunity to eat there very often and it was a huge disappointment to pay over $30.00 for bad food and a very rude waitress. We ordered a pizza for $10.00 later in the day and a fast food place, and it was more enjoyable than our experience at Red Lobster. There were hardly any customers there, and our waitress wasn't swamped but she was incredibly rude. Her attitude made our dinning experience bad and it made her ugly. I didn't even want to eat the food after seeing the way she was acting. Things are tough in the USA right now and the little things matter. Nobody wants an expensive lunch and a rude waitress. My visit took place on Saturday afternoon around 3 pm. Restaurant was very clean as were the restrooms! The service was amazing in fact, is there such a thing as overkill? Well there is a balance and the server while very attentive would come by and check on us every few minutes. There is a balance needed but good. Ordered the shrimp special where you can choose 3 entrees for $15.99. I chose creamy shrimp scampi pasta, grilled shrimp bourbon, and lemon garlic butter shrimp for $15.99. Everything came out hot except for the grilled shrimp. The grilled shrimp the server said was spicy, but honestly, I didn't detect any spice. My boyfriend and I ordered Lobster Scampi from their limited time menu. Good thing it's limited because it was not good. While it looked pretty, the lobster was overcooked and it was doused in sauce. My grandmother ordered the Admirals Feast, which is basically a fried fish platter. She enjoyed it and grandpa liked his dish too. I haven't been to RL in a while and this was a pleasant surprise. The food and service were really good. We ordered the 4 course meal for just under $20. It came with soup, salad, entree and dessert. I had the salmon and my SIL had the pasta with shrimp. We both added on lobster tails. Maybe we've become spoiled from other seafood places but they were tiny. This is why I am subtracting a star. We had the lobster artichoke dip appetizer and it was a winner. I don't know if it is a staple on the menu - it definitely should be. Everything from start to finish was delish. My boyfriend took me to Red Lobster the other night as a surprise and we had a fabulous time. I hadn't been to one in about a decade cause I didn't care too much for fish but over the years I began to love it. We both got the Endless Shrimp and loved every bit of it. The shrimp linguine alfredo was sooo good as were my garlic shrimp scampi. I got a dinner salad with blue cheese dressing and he got clam chowder. He let me try his clam chowder and it was good and creamy. I'll have to get it next we go. And who doesn't like their cheddar biscuits. We had our wonderful waiter get us three baskets full. I talked my wife, who is a very popular local restaurant manager, but had the day off because her restaurant was closed, into trying the Lobster Fest here tonight. There was plenty of parking, but curiously, the disabled parking is located on a different side from the entrance. There is a wheelchair ramp that led from the parking lot to the "entrance." We were seated at a pleasant window booth and were greeted by our server, Ciara, who was VERY pleasant and patient. My wife and I made some menu inquiries because of my allergy and her specific desires. My wife ordered the caesar salad and I ordered clam chowder, which I found out that the chowder was an added $2.99 expense (??). The salad was unremarkable, but the soup was very thick and, unless you were chewing on the clams, lacked any clam flavor whatsoever...but let's move on because the Lobster Lover's Dream, that we both ordered, was not a trivial expense at $37.99 each. Lobster is why we were here so I feel we had the right to expect a truly wonderful meal, which it was not. Our meals were served with two lobster tails (one tasty rock lobster and another that my wife and I both suspected was Florida lobster, both were grilled). It also came with choice of side (a cool, not hot, baked potato for me and asparagus for her, a $2,49 extra charge) and a large serving of Fettuccine Alfredo with pieces of lobster. The pasta cream was so thick that my wife was unable to eat it. Our server did give her a side of fettuccine with tomato sauce. The manager did come to our table to ensure the meal was acceptable, which is why, along with Ciara's exceptional service, I rated our experience 3-stars instead of two. KEEP AWAY Last night my family dined in the restaurant mentioned. Our experience was good, but that is not the problem. This morning (9/24/07) we received a warning from our bank informing us of 2 suspicious transactions. When we contacted the bank we came to the conclusion that this unknown transaction was made in the restaurant using a phone with a Square scanner (possible false account) I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager. She was not of any help and it took her very personal. In his own words, "nobody here does that, call the police, I can not help you". Her tone was very defensive. I was very disappointed with this manager's lack of concern. And yes, I got in touch with the local police department about this issue and with Red Lobter's central offices. I went to this red lobster with my wife over the weekend . The person who sat us was nice . She went to sit me at a table and I asked for the booth . She turned and smiled at me and said of course. Then our sever came along and I can't say she was all to nice . Debbie was her name . I over herd her complaining about having to "take another table" and that she refused . Our clam strips seemed over cooked & we told our waiter it was fine, however; shortly thereafter - a new order arrived that were cooked to perfection.
