This was the first time my husband and I visited this location on January 23rd. We are an interracial couple, my husband is black. That in itself should mean nothing unless you are racist. We sat at the bar. The bartender came up and asked me what I wanted to drink. I ordered a glass of wine and he brought it to me. My husband was sitting next to me and he never addressed my husband. After it was obvious that he was not going to ask for my husband's order, my husband called him over and ordered his drink. We were both thinking at that time he must be really distracted. But then we noticed there were three men at the end of the bar that was getting service. We still gave the waiter the benefit of the doubt that he just overlooked my husband sitting there. When it came time to order dinner, once again the waiter came up to me and asked me for my order. Again, not addressing my husband at all. He took my order entered into his computer and walked to the back. We waited hoping he was coming back to take his order. he came back to the bar but once again did not address him. By this time we had enough. I left my drink and order behind and we asked to speak to the manager. We repeated the story to the manager and were told they would have the general manager contact us and asked that we contact him as well. My husband sent a detailed report of what happened the same day it happened but we did not hear back. I decided to contact the corporate office, I was told that someone from headquarters would contact me as they do not conduct business in this manner. That was a week ago and we still have not heard back. I had never personally experienced such prejudice and disrespect. I felt so bad for my husband and the humiliation I could clearly see on his face. We will never visit another Red Lobster and I hope that they address the obvious racism that exists within their company. Someone should never feel demeaned because of the color of their skin. I had previously posted this as well as contacting the corporate office for Red Lobster. I received a standard reply for my review and even though I was assured that someone from corporate would reach out I have not heard from anyone. Sad! Always a great place for lunch. This location is a bit off the beaten path but always clean and the music is not too loud. Staff is prompt, friendly and accommodating. Have been here several times with my mum for lunch and have never had a bad meal. Salad is nothing fancy but the biscuits where fresh and hot. Some people may have a warm place in their hearts for chains like Red Lobster, but please do not include me as one of those misguided souls. It's been around for years and years. You'll find the mostly older clientele enjoying a Martini, or an Old-Fashioned cocktail, and conversing in 'funny accents'. A pound and a quarter steamed lobster here will set you back only about $12.00 as a daily special. Ok, now back to Red Lobster. Red Lobster's advertising drives me nuts! In Maine the minimum legal size lobster must measure at least three and one quarter inches from the eye socket to the back of the carapace where the tail joins the body. When your "Lobsterfest" entree arrives at the table, check out the size of the lobster tail/s you are being served. Unless you ordered a live lobster from the tank at a premium price, you are not about to eat a Maine lobster! It probably came from Canada. Ask the manager. read more

I had food Monday around 6pm, October 26. And omg it was amazing. Everything was picture perfect, and it came out at a reasonable time after we ordered. I had endless shrimp, and you have to try the cranberry sweet tea, its the bomb. The mash potatoes were so creamy, and the breads were so soft and warm... My server was on point, and she never ever forgot anything, and has a really awesome attitude. So happy with this location... The Caesar side salad was kind of bland/dry, but the Crab Linguini Alfredo Supreme more than made up for that! It had just the right amount of seasoning, the crab legs were meaty and I know it looked as hell of good as it tasted when I heard the lady behind me ask what I had just ordered haha. The Sunset Passion Colada was equally good - do yourself a favor and order one of these. It's like a mental island getaway for your tonsils and mind:p. Order Accuracy: A Everything came out as ordered. Selection: A Red Lobster has always had a nice variety of items on their menu and they change the menu for special occasions like Lobsterfest, Crabfest, etc. Service: A I chose to sit at the bar and Charles was so attentive considering he had three groups at the bar and one-two in the bar area and he didn't skip a beat, even when the servers were throwing drink orders at him. Price: B My meal was a just under $40 for my meal and two drinks (the drinks were a little pricey but well worth it). I'm hoping now that Red Lobster has changed hands, in terms of ownership, that they don't increase the prices as one of the reasons Darden got rid of Red Lobster was the increasing cost of seafood is making it hard to turn a profit. I had dinner with my lovely wife last night (Friday) at around 7pm. The wait time was stated at around an hour but we were seated in about 30 minutes. "Busy" is the best I can describe the atmosphere, lots of families with small children, surprisingly, but is was not overly noisy. The table staff seemed to be almost in running mode through most of the evening! I had the Admiral Feast, a fried assortment of fish, scallops, clams and shrimp. It was cooked well and was tasty. The clams were a bit rubbery, as they usually are, the fish a tad dry, the shrimp and scallops perfect. There was zero visible grease and nothing was greasy in touch or taste. A pre-meal salad was perfect as well. The cheese biscuits were a bit cold, but quite tasty. The premier item we tried was the lobster pizza. This appetizer was delicious and I wish I had ordered another as my main meal! This is a must try combination of lobster, roasted tomatoes and cheese on an ultra thin crust. Superb! Dinner for two, no drinks was $50. The waitress got off to a stumbling start but recovered well and finished great. Good job, Red Lobster! read more

Went to this location Friday night for a much needed date night with my husband. Everything was perfect. We were seated immediately and appreciate the fact that it wasn't loud and packed. What in the nucking futs !!!! Bar area was crazy. The bartender was nice but very unprofessional and loud. There was some drama in his ear piece and back of the bar but he was so loud arguing made everyone uncomfortable especially how he was talking to his co workers. I witnessed a customer ask for utensils and he was completely ignored bc bartender was focused on arguing. He seemed like a nice guy maybe he would be better in the kitchen away from people. Seems like he would be able to run a tight ship in the kitchen. I was really uncomfortable. Where the heck was the manager he was so loud.... any how nice man but maybe his energy can be focused else where. Food was ok I don't think we ordered the right stuff. Red Lobster is one of my 2 absolute favorite restaurants. Every single time we've visited we have always had awesome waiters serving us. The hostess is always friendly and welcoming as well. A couple of weeks ago we went there for my birthday and although we knew the service would be awesome as always, this time it was even better. Our waiter Domitian was absolutely the best we've had anywhere we've gone. He always made sure to check in on us but his extra time with each of his customers really impressed us. We usually pick a Red Lobster location closer to our house. However, this Friday, we were going to have dinner somewhere else but the wait was going to be over an hour and a half.... yeahhhhh no. So I called this Red Lobster location (it was the closest to us at the moment) and they said it would only be a 15 minute wait. WIN! They sat us down after only 5 minutes. I ordered my usual plate of Shrimp Alfredo. Usually, at other locations, the alfredo tends to be a bit dry. Here, however, the plate was very saucy and full of flavor. The service was great. The lady constantly stopped by to ask if we needed anything. Despite this location being a bit more of a drive, I think I found my favorite Red Lobster spot. read more

Honestly I'm disgusted....I ordered the Maintail Lobster Bake to go, which was bland. I didn't make a big deal though, just added salt and pepper and kept eating. The next day I was eating the leftovers, and felt something like a shell in my mouth. I took it out and realized it was a finger nail. I knew it wasn't mine because I am wearing false nails which looks nothing like a real fingernail tip. I am completely grossed out and will not be returning. I am appalled at the service I received today. I placed an order at 5:00cst from my local Red Lobster (15 minutes from my house) thru the Red Lobster app. At 5:45pm cst, I was told by a Door Dash driver my order had already been picked up. So I wait, 30 minutes later, no order received. Then I received 7 different notices in 30 minute increments that 7 different drivers were on their way. Finally at 7:30cst, I spoke to the store manager and was told the first driver showed him the email confirmation for the order, so he gave the order to that driver. He said every 15-20 minutes a new driver (8 in total) would show up to get the order, and told them all, the order was released. Since there is no customer service number for Door Dash, I had to use an in app chat feature which deemed to be useless. So here I sit out of $47, for a order I never received. Red Lobster says get refund from Door Dash, Door Dash says get it from Red Lobster...WTF! I just want my money back read more

I was horrified with my first visit in almost ten years. I could not believe how terrible the food was. I walked in to first be we with a drab interior. We got seated and decided to order the calamari and assorted vegetables, and as my main dish the salmon broiled with broccoli. The calamari came out quick, it was not good at all, over battered throughout, and the batter barley stuck to the calamari at all it would fall off as soon as I stick it worth he fork. The broccoli had the Maza or batter still uncooked in it. I couldn't even enjoy it. The salmon then came out, I ordered it broiled , it came out clearly undercooked but before I could even test it the waitress was gone. It also came Unpaired with any sort of sauce to give it extra flavor. Sure enough as soon as I took a bite of it and got to about 1/4 the way it was clearly under cooked sopping pink that almost appeared slimy. The broccoli and even the pilaf rice tasted like they had been drowned it butter, disgusting, the rice especially was soggy as if it was warmed in a microwave. The waitress apologizes, and the manager even came out to ask about it, didn't offer to comp or discount, which was odd. The only thing worth it was the cheese biscuits. I first have to start with the fact of me not eating at a red lobster for many years before this, but after this experience on a Mother's Day I am now reminded why it's been so long. The name red lobster used to be synonymous with class and great service but this experience was hardly that. Our server was forgetful and kept using the excuse "it's been a long day" to make up for her poor waiting skills. The bartender, where we had to sit for 45 mins before being served, was a poorly groomed gentleman with a tongue ring who was quick to yell across the bar for us to give him our request of what we'd like. I'd expect that of a hole in the wall bar, but not in a red lobster. The majority of the wait staff I saw were poorly groomed and maybe the most polite and well groomed person there was the host who was a pleasant young man, and went above and beyond for us to get a table. The food was mediocre and for the hour it took us to eat our meal I didn't receive one refill of my beverage. Needless to say it will be many a year before I take the plunge to the depths of this sea food eatery! read more

I'm so sad that this Red Lobster has such bad reviews. I am a huuuge fan of Red Lobster and out of all the locations in SATX, this one is by far my favorite. It's close to my home and also close to work, so it's definitely a frequent stop for me. It can be on the expensive side so I don't go here that often, but when I do - it's a real treat! Out of all the times I've been to Red Lobster, I don't think I've ever had service that I would gripe about. Usually the service is always above par. Especially tonight, we went and had a fantastic time, which is always a great reminder of how awesome RL can be! I have been to other locations here in SA and none of them compare to this one on Callaghan/410W.
