We had Blake, around 10:00pm , and he was so friendly, bubbly, he matched our energy, kept our drinks full, just a wonderful experience with him! but the food was awful. I got the stuffed flounder and it tasted just like soggy Walmart tilapia. My husband got lobster and hush puppies and fries, his fries were terrible! super over seasoned, soggy, just bad. our friend got the endless shrimp, and the salt and vinegar shrimp was god awful. we will not be back nor will we reccomend this place to anyone. we love Blake though! give that man a raise read more

Had our anniversary dinner here last night, and it was amazing. I had the lobster stuffed flounder and the mac n cheese, which paired very nicely with a chardonnay. My husband had the chicken alfredo. The staff was quick, friendly, and very capable. I asked to speak with a manager to compliment our waitress, Michal, and the manager was also very friendly and kind. In fact, there were managers moving all over the floor, supporting their staff, which is a great thing to see. Great food. Great time. Definitely recommend. read more

The amount of flies in this place is pretty disgusting, as well as the terrible smell of the restaurant. I've been to many other seafood places and none of them smell the way this one does. Prices are okay, but wish the environment was less nasty. This place gets a 1 but the cheddar biscuits themselves adds at-least two stars to my review. Had not dined at Red Lobster in probably 30 years. Arrived here about 5:15 on a Wednesday and they said there would be a 20-minute wait. Seemed like they were understaffed but up to 3 people were at the front? Did not seem to be a leader to direct the crew. Finally we're seated and server came and took our order. They had a shrimp special that you could choose three types of shrimp and a couple sides and we ordered. Server came back and let us know that the kitchen just informed her they were out of 3 of the 4 types we chose. So we decided to just have soup and salad and call it a day as we had an engagement we had to get to and we were getting pressed for time. Soup was fine and biscuits were delicious. Salad finally came as we were almost ready to ask them to skip and it was fine if maybe a bit overdressed. Server was very nice and handled a difficult situation as well as she could. So the monthly birthday club guest of honor wanted seafood and his pick for lunch was the local Red Lobster. I was worried about his choice but wanted to see how things had changed. We arrived on a Thursday right about 12:00. We waited about 15 minutes when they came out and asked if we could all sit in a big booth as they didn't have any where else to seat us. I will say on the positive note that in the last 20 years since I've been in a Red Lobster the cheddar biscuits are still darn good as in about perfect. Our table of 6 went through 24 of them to be exact.... they were the very best part of the meal by far. The entrees varied among the group from pasta to shrimp to tacos but the one fairly constant reaction was the underwhelming enthusiasm for our entrees. The basic salad I received was floating in dressing and did nothing to compliment the meal. My endless shrimp shrimp combo was just nothing I would order again. The garlic grilled shrimp direct from freezer to grill was bland and lacked salt and garlic and had no real shrimp taste. The hand breaded shrimp had plenty of salt but the breading was so thick that the small shrimp had no chance of escaping the excessive hand breaded batter and the piddly amount of fries were barley warm. The endless shrimp dish was 17.99 which just seems like a lot for small bland shrimp , no matter how many you can eat. I tried one of my fellow diners Nashville hot shrimp and found them it to be way to sweet with honey and not enough spice. What has happened to this chain? The rest of the staff shared an after dinner lava cookie which they did enjoy but didn't look very molten in the middle. On the plus side our server Yolanda was amazing.. all smiles and happiness, quick on the refill or to laugh at our stupid jokes and very attentive to our service needs. She is one of the better servers I have dined with in Springfield. I cant not say enough good about this person. So if you have to go to RL at least try and get Yolanda as a server to brighten the experience. read more

Been about a year since I had been to Red Lobster in Springfield, Mo. Well it will be longer before I go back. Had the Admiral Feast because it was Tuesday and on special. The side of broccoli was actually good and it was that is the only thing I can say on the good side. Well the special was that the fish was so thin I wasn't even sure that there was fish inside the batter, which was then over cooked. The shrimp was the same way, more batter than shrimp. The little nuggets of bay scallops were tough and since I don't like clams, I had them sub shrimp for the clams and yes there was an up charge, which our waiter let me know before he placed my order. Now the waiter, he was great, friendly and remember all our names. Just for info, a couple of the other ladies ordered the same thing and they had the same opinion of the quality. read more

Ate there last night terrible service had to ask for everything took forever for wait staff to even come over had to ask for biscuits brought our salads had to ask three different people for silverware then had to ask for napkins no drink refills were offered and no refill on the biscuits after asking three different people. Today I ordered the lobster/shrimp pizza for $10.99 as a takeout. A recorded message answered my call referring to an earlier order for the same item. It sounded the same so I answered yes. Imagine my surprise when another automated voice told me that the price was $20+. I thought they were charging me for a larger pizza so called again and finally talked to a real person. She told me that there was only one size, the small pizza for $10.99. I thought all was sorted out. hen my order was delivered, there were two pizzas for $20+. I explained the situation to the very nice cooperative takeout employee who took my order back into the restaurant. He returned with the two pizzas with the charge for only one which was a welcome outcome for me. However, all of this frustration would have been avoided if I in the first place I could have given my order to a person and not to a machine. By the way, the pizza was delicious, and now I have three more pizza meals in my freezer. read more

Wow, a big N-O on this one! First off, we went there for my Mom's birthday party (her choice,) otherwise I wouldnt have picked it. I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants. They dont take reservations which makes it a little difficult to get a table on Friday and Saturday nights. Luckily we got there a tad early so we only had to wait about 15 minutes. Parking was CRAZY though!! We had to drive through the parking lots several times to finally find a parking place. The biscuits are good, cant deny those but the salad w/ the meal was tasteless and didnt have near enough dressing. The crab legs were obviously frozen and not even close to fresh. I had the lobster nachos and wow, SUCH a disappointment. The cheese sauce was FAR too salty and I couldnt even taste that there was lobster in the dish. I'm a fan of their fresh fish menu. It must be the ability to customize your order. I like getting either salmon or tilapia with the mango salsa and veggie medley sides. Even though most may think the food is expensive here; compared to California restaurant prices, it's about the same for the quality of the food. I really do not remember the last time we went to Red Lobster. We decided we'd go there for my birthday lunch. We got there as the doors opened and were seated quickly. Our server (Keshaw) was great. She was attentive to our needs and kept us informed about the cheese biscuits being delayed because of a faulty oven. As one of his sides my husband ordered a side salad. That was pretty pitiful. The lettuce leaves we could see were wilted and already past good eating. We removed over 1/2 the lettuce leaves. Our entrees were very good. I ordered the Rock Lobster tail with shrimp scampi. They were both delicious. The baked potato was cooked perfectly and tasted good. For my second side I ordered coleslaw. Frankly, I didn't like it--way too much vinegar! My husband ordered the Admiral's feast. Clams, fish, and shrimp were really good. The scallops not so much--too watery with no real flavor. Back to the biscuits. Normally the biscuits are a favorite part of going to Red Lobster. Not today, however. I'll chalk it up to the bad oven because I sure hate to think Red Lobster's biscuits ain't what they used to be. read more

We visited this restaurant this evening and had excellent service. To start out we only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated, then our waitress Dakota was very speedy with our drinks and taking our orders. She was extremely polite and very knowledgeable about the menu. My father in law was asking about sides and what comes on each salad and she knew without a second thought. I ordered the Lobster pizza which was fantastic! Very reasonably priced at 9.99 and delicious. It is on the menu as an appetizer but large enough for a meal. I ate about half and will be taking the rest home. We finished and Dakota boxed up our meals for us and refilled our drinks! The only negative thing I experienced was the overwhelming seafood smell in the lobby. It was a little too overbearing for me. It cleared once we reached our table though! read more

On my family's visit a few days ago the staff was friendly but the food was all pure crap except for the spicy shrimp appetizer. My wife's food was bland and my 25$ lobster bake with mussels, lobster, and scallops were so sandy it made the whole dish indelible. When I told the waitress about the sand she acted like all scallops had sand(come on)........she took it off the bill, but that's the last time ill go to red lobster... I felt I was paying more for the brand and atmosphere than the food. So I would consider this a place I would go on a special occasion and not a place I would go just eat out. Especially if you are on a budget, because it's very expensive!! The food was good, but I've ordered the exact same seafood dish at several other places cheaper and it was just as good. If you get there in time for the lunch menu or pick from the cheapest things on the menu you might find an entree for around $10, but a lot of their stuff is $16-40. The service was good, but you get good service at a lot of other places too. So what I feel you are really paying for is a classier atmosphere. It's higher end inside, dimly lit for a more romantic evening. More nicely furnished than a lot of places. The restaurant is sectioned off into rooms so even if they are busy you won't feel as crowded. read more

It was expensive by far, which would've been okay if the food was good. The lobster bisque was so rich and thick. It would've been better as a dip.
