Food quality has deteriorated , value is just not what it used to be. Vegetables were so hard that they were not eatable

Food is good but service is just sooooo bad. Every single time. This is my fourth visit. We went in at 9 for an appetizer and a bloody mary. We were celebrating buying our house. I know they closed in an hour but we order shrimp cocktail. Not exactly hard. Right when we sat down the bartender starts going about how she was about to leave. We offered to sit somewhere else and she said no. Then asked us if we were going to order anything else because she needed to let the kitchen know. At 905. I know they close at 10 and we just wanted a quick bite. Seriously she just kept talking about how she was suppose to be leaving. Wtf. Side note the manager also was standing there staring at her the whole time. It made us uncomfortable and we felt guilty. Never again. read more

Service was fast. Got a seat within 10 minutes at 6 pm on a Friday. Ordered appetizer which was delayed by a few minutes, not a problem but they comp'd it. Biscuits were amazing. Had fish & chips. Fish was a little greasy but overall good. Fries were mediocre. Others liked their meals. Server was great. read more

It's Red Lobster. It's proabably like every other Red Lobster you've ever been to. My wife and I usually go here once or twice a year, whenever they have their "Endless Shrimp" deal. At any other time it is a bit out of our budget. The only times we've ever had a wait is Friday and Saturday nights and then we've had to wait up to 45 minutes. The food is excellent. I recommend the shrimp scampi and the coconut shrimp. The service has always been between OK and excellent HOWEVER, I think the manager needs to do a little training with the wait staff on what condiments are available. I like malt vinegar on my fries. Call me weird, I don't care. It is totally hit or miss on whether or not our waiter (or waitress) is going to know what malt vinegar is and whether or not they are going to have any. I have asked for malt vinegar and had the waitress come right back with a bottle. I have also had them tell me "We don't have that", "We haven't had that for years", "Do you mean the oil and vinegar for the salad?", etc. I even once had a manager tell me that they haven't had that in the four years he'd been there. The funny thing was, that we had eaten there six months ago and had a waiter that not only knew what malt vinegar was, but knew where they kept it. If you like Red Lobster, then there's no reason you won't like this one. If you've never tried it, give it a shot. If you like malt vinegar, bring your own. read more

Waiters are VERY ARROGANT. We had a waiter named Jon and when my brother asked about the sizes of soup, Jon replied sarcastically, "Well last time I checked a bowl was bigger than a cup." The time previous to this visit, someone in my family ordered a grilled chicken breast and got fried chicken strips! When we proceeded to tell the waiter it wasn't what we ordered, he argued and said it was what we ordered and would not take it back or give us a refund. Would never go to Red Lobster for seafood but unfortunately living in the Midwest, it is one of the only options for seafood. And I know fresh seafood, I travel often and eat seafood on the coast frequently. Red Lobster has awful service and not great seafood. read more

Served our food way too fast. We ordered appetizers which came out at the same time as our dinner salads, about 5 minutes after we ordered and even before the biscuits were served. That was followed by our main dish being served 5 minutes after the salads and appetizers. We did not have enough time to finish the appetizers and the servers took them away to make room for the main dishes. It happened so fast we never realized the appetizers were gone with only 50% being eaten. It was the fastest spent $110 dollars of my life. Not relaxing, pushed in and out. McDonalds is slow in comparison. read more

This Big Red Fancy is not a bad place to go- we've always gotten a very friendly waitress and tonight was no exception. The wait was long, but it is Saturday and I forgot to call ahead. We were seated at a clean booth and promptly waited on, though the complimentary biscuits did not arrive for about fifteen minutes. I ordered a mango Mai tai and it was great, definitely a drink I'll repeat in the future. The fries were nothing special- I did not order nor do I recommend ordering the pilaf. It was on my plate and I don't know why. There were too many hard uncooked grains in it to be edible and it was bland, too. The shrimp wasn't bursting with flavor, but wasn't bad. I get a different entree each visit and the skewers aren't one I'll repeat. My husband enjoyed the admirals feast as usual, but he said the Walt's shrimp were different than last time and not as good. The potato soup tastes like anyone's potato soup, but the triple chocolate brownie a la mode was good- definitely a bit artificial tasting, but a reasonable finish. read more

As many of the previous post suggest, this RL is pretty much like all of them. Slight "seafood" smell when you enter, wait a little while in a fairly unwelcoming area. Go sit and eat in a moderately cleaned booth or table. Service was actually pretty good, especially considering our "friends" we were with would get 2 stars because they're so picky and difficult. Food tasted good, so it's a give/take thing. I doubt we'd go again, unless we were with "friends" who think it's a "fun" place to eat. -him read more

Our family has been here a couple of times. One of the times I was so upset. They had stuck my family and I secluded in a room. After our food was at the table the waiter only came by one more time to hand us the bill. We had no offers to refill the children's drinks. The last time we had went here was when my husband had taken me out for our anniversary. We had a different server and had exceptional service. If it wasn't for this amazing service I would never go back or give a fairly decent rating. I felt so segregated the bad time that it took awhile before I went back. read more

Always enjoy my trips to Red Lobster. Rarely is there a problem and that consistency keeps me coming back. This locations always seems to be busy which may be an indication of their popularity. Everyone always finds a meal to their liking in my family. It is lobster fest now and I never complain about lobster. Loved the grilled green beans and tomatoes as a side. read more

Growing up, this was my dad's favorite spot to bring us to dinner. I loved it. As an adult, I'm searching for the appeal. Besides being one of the only seafood options in town, Red Lobster is lacking. Our waitress was very busy, so our drinks went unfilled for a while at a time (we did drink quite a bit though). Our food wasn't overly flavorful. In fact, we added pepper to almost every thing. While our experience was pleasant, I feel like I can get a much better meal for the price somewhere else. read more

We recently went to Red Lobster in Springfield MO and it was terrible and way overpriced. Crab fest dinners were $29.00. I'm sure Red Lobster serves good seafood, but 6/18/19 what they served was worse than horrible. I and a friend were hosted for lunch by a foreign businessman wanting to take us to a "nice place." We settled on Red Lobster assuming it ranked higher than a Denny's or Village Inn. The meal served to me and my friend was worse than the worst Long John Silver's. Mercifully, our host's meal appeared fine; of course his Ultimate Feast meal was $19.99. My friend and I trying to be appreciative and polite ordered the cod Fish and Chips for $9.99. What we each got was two dripping greasy blobs of fried batter with limp fries swimming in a sea of more grease. Not wanting to create a scene I felt I'd deal with it and not darken the door to Red Lobster again. One of the pieces my friend had had no cod whatsoever; 100% oily fried flour. Unlike Long John Silver's, Red Lobsters fried batter seemed tasteless and oozing lard. The only piece I could ingest had a small piece of cod about the thickness of two quarters. My friend reordered one of his which came after we were all done eating. It looked like a nice piece of cod. From the beginning I soldiered on with brittle GREASY fried batter flying each time I tried to cut into the rock-hard brick, discreetly trying to move the floating fries from the pool of fat. Gabriel's service was acceptable other than he should not ever have served a customer a plate of grease. Our host, not looking at the check when it came, tipped Gabriel $16 on a $40 check; a whopping 40% for a disastrous meal! I almost lost what fish, flour, grease and potatoes I'd swallowed. As soon as I left the restaurant, I called Hannah, the store manager. She was very kind and offered me a free meal, gift card, removal of our two meals from the check - and she was sincere. I appreciated those gestures, however I did not complain to get free food. Don't serve people garbage, recooked fish or lard. I believe she concluded my call planning to remove the two Fish & Chip meals from our host's credit card. Should he ever call and question what happened, she would say Gabriel removed the charges inasmuch as the meals were not representative of Red Lobster's quality. I'm on the fence whether I can ever return. It's seldom I get hungry for a plate of grease. I took picture which I will try to post with this review. read more

well, nothing more frustrating than waiting 25 minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant. seriously, its 5 degrees outside, we've got the joint all to ourselves, and we can't even get seated (and no, the joint isn't closed. in all fairness, once we got seated and finally got our food, it was delic. I would have taken a picture of it but id already checked in and the only view i had for 25 minutes was the dang lobster tank in front of me in the waiting to be seated area. I really don't want to go down to 2 stars without having had a really bad experience, but I am getting closer and closer.... This place has been in a slow decline for a long time, yet we continue to return mainly because of an addiction to the types of things offered, rather than the overall experience. Years ago, RL was known not only for their food, but also the most professional, efficient wait staff; No more! I can't seem to go there without getting seated next to either a rowdy bunch or a table with whiny kids. I am annoyed by their strategy of making you wait for a table even though the place is half-empty. The food RL is putting out these days is inching closer and closer to Long John's or Captain D's. If you do order something "extravagant" (in other words, not fried) like lobster or crab legs, be prepared for a puny order at a big price: that's what the tasty biscuits are for- that's your dinner in the basket. The fresh fish is usually the best bet IMO, but we like the variety offered with the combinations you can pick yourself. On this last trip my wife received a "baked potato" that was the size of a golf ball. While we were eating, a group got up to leave, and one of the guys was carrying a small, long-haired dog- they walked right by us carrying this hairy mutt- inches from my plate. Can you do that? You can bring your dog to RL? To summarize, as disappointing as it may be, this place shows a lot of signs of being on the way out, and for me it is more of an attitude that is conveyed rather than any one item being cooked wrong or tasting bad. read more

First let me start off the night with the wait, when the host told us we had three minutes left because they were "cleaning tables" it took almost 10. I am a server myself and it doesn't take 10 minutes to clean off a table maybe 1 or 2 minutes at the most. And now to the table we go, we asked for small plates with our apps, by the time we got our plates the apps were gone and it was too late. Then it took a little over an hour to get our food!!! What in the world. Being a server as well in a busy restaurant myself I know that if this was happening I should right away get my manger and talk to my table, our server didn't say anything till we said something then at the end of the meal the manager said " hey guys what's up" she had no clue what had happened and greeted us like we were in a casual bar. And then gave us 15% off. At my restaurant we would have given 30% off for how much the bill was and most people would still tip a good amount.very unprofessional. Don't know if I will be back for awhile. Hopefully when they have a new manger and staff. read more

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. It is really pricey so we only went their for special occasions. So maybe once to twice a year. But we stopped going there a few years ago. The food is always good but the wait staff is never very good. They also have a problem with files everywhere and it is so hot in there. I get so uncomfortable between trying to keep the flies off my food and trying to keep myself cooled off. it is just not worth it. We have called in a to go order so we don't have to deal with that stuff. But still, that is not even very convenient for us. read more

Then when we complained, offerred to "box them up" for us. $76.00 before tip for 4. Didn't even order the most expensive thing on the menu, no alcohol. We stopped in here on Friday night. We had a short wait which is expected for the weekend. We had the lobster pizza appetizer. Oh My Goodness!! So very good. I would highly recommend. just want to say, under normal circumstances I would go to red lobster any day. I love their service, and their food. I however ordered their sirloin steak and grill shrimp this time. and later on that night I tossed ever bit of the steak up, pepper corn seasoning and all. I'm not allergic to steak or seasoning so after that, I would say just order their sea food. read more
