Called a day in advance to get reservations. I was told they did not do that but I could be placed on a call ahead list. I said I didn't understand the difference and the girl sighed and transferred me to someone else. Rude lady number two was equally as flippant. She told me I could go on the list and call tomorrow. Super amazing customer service! We ordered online and got it delivered by door dash. When our food arrived, our soup had spilled all over our food so we called this location where we got our food from and they were very nice and polite about it. It wasn't their responsibility to tend to our spilled food, but the manager was so sweet and gave us new soups at no charge (though we were ready to pay & weren't going to argue about our spilled soup since we knew it wasn't their fault). Had a great meal at the Ref Lobster on Monroe Street tonight. They were really busy and we didn't want to wait so we chose to eat our dinner at the bar. We had the delicious lobster pizza and the chicken tacos. Vonnelle waited on us. She had a thorough knowledge of the menu and gave us great recommendations! Poor service all around! First I was served the wrong glass of wine. Then another server tried to give us someone else's food. My husband ordered a bowl of lobster bisque and it tasted basically like a cheddar cheese soup with 3 small dime size pieces of lobster on top. None throughout the soup. If I could I would give this place 0 stars from working here only 3 weeks. I wouldn't recommend eating here or working here. The servers are rude along with the bartenders and this place is completely unorganized. The managers gossip, they have hosts doing everyone's jobs,including bussing tables. The term 'seafood chain' should be an oxymoron. Seafood is a delicate food that should be prepared fresh, not frozen, then thawed nationwide at chains all over. It's in the same arena as the olive garden, which is about as good as prison pasta. I decided to order an appetizer as a main entree when I went here, because honestly, nothing else really sounded good. I got the lobster and crab stuffed mushrooms. They were decent, and the amount was just perfect for one person. Plus I ordered the stuffed mushrooms, because my girlfriend hates mushrooms, therein negating any attempt by her to ask for some of my food. Is that being a dick? Maybe. But I don't ask for her food. When I order my food, I don't anticipate any 'lady and the tramp' situation. This was a quasi-family get together. Every time my girlfriend's grandma comes into town, she always insists on going to red lobster. Why, I have no idea. There are so many great restaurants in Toledo, but people seem leery of getting outside their comfort zone. This would upset me normally, but she was footing the bill, so I was happy to attend. Service was fine, except for the wonderful experience of having a tag-team wait staff serve us the entire night. Some girl who didn't look a day over 14 was being trained that night, so the scripted etiquette was way over the top. Overall, it was just ok. Service was awful and so slow, the restraunt was dirty. The lobster was over cooked the brussel sprouts were burnt. The shrimp scampi had 3-1/2 shrimp. Waited over 15 minutes for a waiter to come to our table after being seated. Ordered the steak (cooked Medium), it was so tough and dry that it was not edible. Baked potato was covered in sour cream although we ordered without. Informed the waiter about the steak only for them to bring out another one that was completely rare, returned it again and it still was rare on the inside. Still was charged full price. Asked for the manager and her response was "Oh, so you were the one complaining about the steak?" Would expect this from a fast food joint, not a higher end restaurant. read more

My daughter loves Red Lobster, so decided to take her for a treat. The greet at the door was good and we were sat immediately (no wait on a early Friday evening at 6:15). Placed our order (4 entree's, 4 drinks and an appetizer, the lobster pizza). Food took a bit to get to us, about 20 minutes, but we had salads and rolls to hold us over. The food runner brought our food out to us but we were minus the entrée my daughter ordered (the garlic shrimp and garlic shrimp scampi). The waitress came to our table, then went to the kitchen, came back to the table and told us that there was a "situation" with the kitchen, that "that they totally messed up" and that they had to make my daughters order again. We will have to wait for the entrée because "its the kitchens fault". I didn't quite buy the servers explanation because we never received our lobster pizza, so I assumed the entrée and appetizer was never rung up. The server brought the missed entrée about 15 minutes later (we were able to finish our entree's before my daughter received her meal; we shared our meals with her). The waitress said that she may be able to get a free dessert for us from the manager for the mistake. After my daughter finished her meal, the waitress offered us a dessert, but no offer to comp the dessert, so we did not order dessert and opted for our ticket. During our visit, we weren't offered any refills and one would think that a manager would have rounded and addressed the late plate and missed appetizer, but this did not happen. I didn't ask for a manager because I know mistakes can happen, but felt the need to express my concerns for the perceived lack of concern from the waitress for the error, so I called the restaurant as we were driving away to speak to the manager, but was told that "we are in our dinner rush and they are busy so I'll need to call back at 9 o'clock". read more

Terrible service. I sat at the bar and it took 15 minutes to get to get a beer. The bartender then forgot about me for the next half hour. He took my order then my food came out. I had to remind him that he never brought my salad or bread he then he brought them out after my entree. When I got my food the bar was completely empty so I don't understand how this guy was so awful. The food was tasty and prepared well. By now I am disgusted and want to leave. Just ate here last night. Promptly seated when arrived. Given menus and then waited and waited for our server. No water, no biscuits, no utensils, no acknowledgement of even being in the restuarant. Finally, a lady came over, think she may have been the manager...she took our order?? Our server did his best to make up for the initial oversight. Our salads, both Ceasar and Garden were wanting, our entrée's were good and replenished our biscuits when requested. I'd get better seafood at a Long John Silvers. After i left i realized my wallet was missing and called and described to them exactly where i was sitting so they could look and see if it was there and they told me it wasn't. I talked to a second person who said the same thing. I went in myself, they hadn't even asked the waitress about it and guess what, it was right where i said it would be in the booth where i was sitting. Just left there very frustrated. I sat immediately and ordered my food and it came without the salad after giving my order that included salad. When I mentioned the salad the server said 'it was free' as if to say you wasn't paying for it anyway. Ordered the the endless shrimp and a server placed my food on the end of the table without me knowing or even acknowledging that she brought. It never included the sauce I asked for. My husband and I ordered the combo meal of two items each. Each meal cost18.49. I ordered shrimp alfredo and garlic shrimp. My shrimp alfredo had a ​small portion of popcorn shrimp to 1/2 cup of pasta and 5 shrimp on a wood skewer​. My husband had the same. We had to pay 2.00 extra for asparagus​. I understand the portion​ but charge for what a person gets. I was very disappointed and I am sure we won't be going back to Red Lobster anytime soon. read more

I was dragged here by my two brothers, as I was told their biscuits are to "die for". There's a reason I avoid big chain restaurants and this exemplified those reasons. The food was too salty, the service was sub-par, the waiter managed to mix up our orders,even though it was a slow night for them and there was just three of us. My family decided to surprise me for my birthday by everyone showing up for dinner at Red Lobster. The girls had called to notify the Reynolds Rd location what time they would be arriving, and how many wherein the party (19 in total). They were told at that time they do not do reservations, but thanks for the notice and to let the hostess know when they got there and they would accommodate them at that time. Upon arrival, the first daughter let the hostess know the size of the party, including small children, and she was told that they would not save any tables until at least half of our part had arrived. A few moments later a total of nine of the nineteen had arrived, and because that was not half of the party, they still could not accommodate the large party. My husband and I arrived 45 minutes after the first daughter had arrived, and all the tables that had been saved for our party were in the bar, with seven of the seventeen being children under ten years of age. The service was terrible, the food worse, my daughter ended up with food poisoning from the fish she ordered, and the tables were scattered all over the bar. If you want to accommodate a large group, don't go to this business. At least four of us were not feeling well by the end of the meal, and as I said before, the service was a major disappointment. read more
