First time back at the newly reopened RedFarm. The good is excellent, as is the service. So happy to have RedFarm back in the area.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very lowkey spot in the West Village, that has a communal table and other seating option.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We did majority of appetizers and dumplings, the sesame noodle, crispy beef and pastrami egg roll were the favorites. Would recommend with a group as you can try a lot! Service was relatively quick.

It's truly amazing that the Red Farm location is reopening in the WV. This had been such a staple in the area for so many years and its loss was felt dearly. Charlie, the new GM is doing an outstanding job bringing it back to its glory days. Looking forward to many more evenings!

Great atmosphere--a breezy farmhouse vibe. Good small plates for sharing. Very much enjoyed the communal table seating. Fun drinks, too.

Dim Sum were really great, especially Pork and Crab Soup dumplings. A bit on the expensive side though.

This was such a great dinner spot. Had the Chinese broccoli with oyster mushrooms and the crunchy fried rice. Wow. All vegan and all good.

Finally made it to Uncle Lou, often talked about as one of the best Cantonese spots in Chinatown,…read moreand it definitely lived up to the hype. We went straight for their signature deep fried garlic chicken and decided to share the Peking duck--and both dishes were beautifully presented and packed with incredible flavor. The chicken, in particular, was crispy, aromatic, and absolutely delicious, though it's worth noting you'll want to be a bit careful as there are quite a few small bones throughout. The Peking duck was equally impressive, cooked perfectly with rich, satisfying taste in every bite. You can really tell the kitchen puts care into both quality and presentation. On top of the food, the staff were adorable and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance felt warm, lively, and comfortable--perfect for a relaxed meal in Chinatown. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with standout dishes and great energy. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

This was actually my second time having the pleasure of dining at Uncle Lou. This is one of the…read morenewer trendy spots in Chinatown so naturally I was a bit skeptical. This second go around was a celebration dinner with my brother so we ordered quite a bit to share. For starters we had their crab rangoon, wontons in chili oil, and salt pepper wings. The rangoons were perfectly crisp but the filling just didn't impress me all too much. I love a good smack of green onion & crab, this one lacked both. Definitely not my favorite rangoons and only 3??? Hmm. The wontons were sublime though. They were nice and plump with a nice punch from the chili oil they bathe in. The chicken wings were pretty standard, I kinda wish there was more pepper on it. It was nice and salty but severely lacked pepper for being a pepper oriented dish. As for the General Tsos? YUM. This was great. The ratio of batter to chicken wasn't bad and it had such a great crisp. The actual General Tso sauce was perfect as well, I could not stop picking at this. The Shrimp Lo Mein was also fantastic, very smoky which I'm a sucker for. The shrimps were perfectly cooked as well and the noodles..... bouncy umami goodness. Delicious food, decent prices, great service I should add. In Chinatown, you learn that hospitality is entirely optional. Here though, they are welcoming and communicate very well with you. Our waiter and the hosts were especially lovely on this night. For next time, I'd pass on the crab rangoons and go for their crispy garlic chicken over the salt pepper wings. There will definitely be a next time though!

To be honest we didn't know there was so many Dim Sum Palace in Manhattan, because this was a different one than the one we believe we went to. We sat down and order food. We just wanted something light to eat for the day so we didn't order much. The restaurant is a bit small and the tables were place very close to each other. We wrote down what we want and the orders start rolling in. We got some delicious dumplings and pork buns. The scallion pancake was light and fluffy. We were excited for the Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce. We did order Singapore mei fun but they forgot it. I was kind of happy they did because we were full. Overall it was a good place to get some dim sum.
