We love this sweet little bakery! They are such a welcome addition to the strip mall. They have many delicious pastries like croissants, muffins (love their choco chip muffin!), donuts, cookies, cupcakes. They also make breakfast sandwiches that are pretty tasty and filling, and they have a cute play corner for kids with legos. Whenever I stop in here, my toddler goes straight to the corner to play because he knows what's up. It's next door to his gym class so he wants to pop in here all the time! The owner of Redondough is extraordinarily nice! It was my first time there and I wasn't quite sure what to get. I was shopping for my husband who could live off of doughnuts. The owner directed me to the most popular, the churro doughnut. I got two of those and a variety of the designer glaze doughnuts and a couple of cake doughnuts (there were only a couple left). I think any normal human being would just love the glaze doughnuts, but my husband is super picky. He tends to like the cake doughnuts better, which the owner here said were more popular with kids (my husband still chases the ice cream truck). He thought the cake doughnuts were amazing, but neither of us were too into the churro doughnut. Maybe it was just because we'd had the others first. This is really the only reason I knocked this down a star. I don't know what it was because we love churros, but there was just something different about the dough that made this a bit bland in the center. It may have just been that batch. If you really have a sweet tooth and are a Winchell's fan like my husband, go for the cake doughnuts and hope they're not all sold out! They are incredible! She asked if I wanted it warmed up and I said yes, but it was barely warm on the outside and when I took a bite it was cold in the middle, otherwise it would have been good. Don't expect a churro churro. This has the taste of churro with the cinnamon sugar coating. It's soft and chewy. I wouldn't say it's a cake donut as some of the reviews stated. It's not greasy like a churro either. I loved it. There were samples of the oatmeal cookie and the chocolate croissant. Both were delish. My cousin had the chicken sandwich. She gave me a bite. It was delicious. Not overly doused in mayo. Flavorful and fresh tasting. She loved her sandwich and so did I. I'll definitely go back for lunch. The apple turnover didn't disappoint. The flakey pastry was crisp and light. And the apple filling was on point. This is a family run business. The owners are so nice and friendly. Prices are fairly reasonable compared to other bakeries. Turns out they close Sunday at 3 and all day Monday, but the shift I needed the cookies to thank started later Sunday into Monday. This place has changed hands so many times over the past few years it's dizzying trying to keep track of what it used to be. Thankfully I think they finally found a winner. Redondough (still love saying it) is a great little pastry shop that serves breakfast and also makes sandwiches for lunch. The service is great and they're incredibly helpful. As far as the food goes. Wow, those pastries are good. Especially the churro donuts. Those things are addictive and I would bring people from all over just for those. I went, tried it and then immediately started bringing friends and family to try. Nobody believed me about the churro donuts ("That sounds weird., how good can a donut be?" they said) and now they all are addicted to them. I've also had their turnovers and cookies and they are both very good as well. The cookie was actually really unique and I quite enjoyed it. But if you must try only one thing, then definitely go for the churro donut first. This is the perfect place to just swing by a few times a week, pick up a couple things and then go about your day. To put it another way, It's the little local pastry shop that you always thought you had to move to Italy, France, or Spain to experience. And now lucky you, you don't have to move anymore. Btw. The churro donut is NOT like a cake donut. It's much lighter like a french cruller but even that isn't a good comparison as it's a very different texture from that as well. My husband and I love this bakery and feel that it's a new little gem in our community. The family that owns this shop are friendly and provide hospitable customer service. The decor is simple and beautiful, and the establishment is clean and child friendly (they have a corner for kids to play). Parking is plenty and easy to find, right next to the grocery, a few other restaurants, and a small gym. I really don't understand some of the newest negative reviews. Everything my husband and I have ever ordered here has been fresh, delicious and made with love, especially their breakfast sandwiches and CHURRO DONUTS! It was their grand opening today. Hubby had the turkey breast sandwich and apple turnover. He said the sandwich was delicious and the bread definitely tasted freshly baked. I don't know why I don't think of this place more often or why I haven't written a review yet but here goes. This quaint little place offers breakfast, lunch and sweets (not to mention legit Thai iced tea - our favorite of anywhere else!). It is only a couple blocks away and we are going to make it our weekly lunch stop on the weekends. We have been getting their tuna & chicken salad sandwiches which come with a choice of toppings and bread and a bag of chips. I will venture out of those when I get tired of them but for now why try anything else? I usually get a cheese danish for later and they are delicious too. My kids like their cookies and their churro donuts. Their Thai iced tea is off the chain - it is made with real tea, not the powdery stuff that I never got a taste for. Totally refreshing! The owners are seriously the nicest people in life, and they take a genuine interest in all of their customers and meeting their needs. I came to Redondough a week ago to get a breakfast pastry and have been back at least 4 times now. My kids like the icing cookies and croissants. The breakfast sandwiches are also very good (according to my kids and husband). I really like their Thai iced tea. It is has just the right amount of sweetness to go with the pastries. I am now tempted to go every day just to get the Thai iced tea instead of my usual morning coffee. The inside of the shop is spaced out nicely and has stickers on the ground for everyone to stay 6 feet apart. Again, the churro was insanely good. Light and airy, not dense like I thought it would be. The outside was perfectly coated in cinnamon and sugar, I easily could have eaten 5 in one sitting. The cheese pastry was also insanely good. The pastry was buttery and flaky with the cheese being perfectly sweetened. The only not so great item was the cupcake. I love sugar so I was so excited to be getting a cupcake at a bakery, sadly I did not love it. The frosting tasted very off.....almost like it came out of a barrel and not something homemade ...but the cake was solid. I disliked the frosting enough that it was something that I remember the taste of. Moral of the story, go for the churro and anything puff pastry. Wanted something sweet so went to this place by home to try their donuts. Wife and I ended up getting breakfast sandwiches there as well and ate there. I got a bagel sadwhich and she got hers on a croissant. Pretty inexpensive and they were pretty quick. I tried a chocolate chip cookie and one of their chocolate dipped donuts with cinnamon toast crunch cereal on top. Both were good but nothing mind blowing. Positives are that it is fairly priced and the staff was friendly. Would go back to try different flavors and maybe grab a bfast sandwich. read more
