I was appalled by the rudeness of the older asian lady behind the counter. I went in for a bagel and i witnessed her screaming at the young lady who was working the front counter she was kind and very attentive the owner needs to take classes on business ethics that is no way to treat anyone and i bagel had a hair in the cream cheese. I've been here twice now and costumer service is great! Everyone goes out of their way to make sure that costumers have everything that they need and feel welcomed. I heard about this little gem via NextDoor. Yes! A new small business to try! Near Vons at Prospect & Beryl. Located on the East side of the little shopping plaza. We chose a little sampler and left with our haul in the ubiquitous pink box. But the contents of the box were NOT ubiquitous!!! I tried a bit of everything. I wanted to see if the puff pastry was consistent. I read the chocolate glaze was lovely. Nibble nibble nibble. Buttery. Not at all greasy! The cinnamon twist had a good cinnamon-y taste and aroma. The soft chocolate glaze on the churro donut was very chocolate-y. The churro donut had a slightly crunchy exterior and surprisingly the interior was a fine sponge. The churro donuts are small-ish but don't be fooled! You'll be satisfied! The turnovers "look" like the type from a grocery store but the puff pastry is flaky and fresh. Ohhhh! Love this place. I stop here before work, they have great pastries nice and flaky and not too sweet, the breakfast croissants are really good (nothing over the top but definitely really tasty) and everything is always fresh. They now have Açaí bowls! Woop woop! Those are also delicious and the staff/owners are always so dang nice. It's cute little shop with lots of great options for breakfast or snacks. Food was fine. I'm not full. This is the only eatery I've ever been to that wouldn't substitute the meat and avocado for extra egg and cheese. It seems they are taking advantage of their customer base and I certainly will not return. Avoid if you can. If you value customer service and receiving what you ordered, DO NOT come here. I have been coming here for years, but that ends today. I have always known the owners to be kind people that help customers and value their business, however the new staff here makes major mistakes on orders and are condescending to customers. When the owners find out about this, they back their staff, not the customer (who did not make the mistake). The owners will not fix a mistake that their staff made in taking an order. Also, the owner's should update your website to reflect what they actually sell versus telling customers they should come in person to see what the menu is versus looking online before coming in. There were multiple customers having issues in the store today with the same front desk person, and the owners would not back patrons. Businesses like this don't last in this town, we are a tight knit group of people around here and word of mouth goes a long way. I would take a long hard look at my staff and customer service practices if you want to maintain your business here. In my experience of owning a business, the customer is always right ESPECIALLY if my staff made the mistake. I hope that the $15 was worth it in the end, because we will never be back. They should have just remade what we had ordered correctly rather than telling us that if we wanted that, we had to pay again. So unprofessional and just plain unethical in my opinion. I think the BBB would like to know about the scam you are running by making orders incorrectly then blaming the customer and making them pay again for what they originally ordered. read more

Location: Redondough is located in a shopping plaza next to a My Gym (which is the reason we found it...). But the bigger landmark is probably the Ralphs which anchors the plaza. Beryl is not the largest street, so you can't really miss the plaza. It's pretty large. Redondough is on one of the corners of the plaza with a somewhat large blue-green sign. Plenty of parking and we've never had a problem - since there are a lot of other businesses in there it's not like it's empty though. Service: We have always had great service when coming in here. We havent yet encountered a HUGE line, but when there are a few people they generally can work through the line pretty quickly. There's usually a few people working at a time. Things like the breakfast sandwich do take a little time to prepare since they are made to order, but it's definitely done in a reasonable amount of time. No complaints. Food: We are definitely trying to make our way through all their items at this point, but it is HARD to resist the breakfast sandwiches and the chocolate croissants - our typical order. The breakfast sandwiches will run you about $5 and come with egg, tomato, cheese and avocado (yes - avocado is INCLUDED). In addition, you can choose TWO meats to add such as bacon, turkey, sausage, ham and I believe they also offer a few of their lunch sandwich fillings like chicken salad and pastrami. You can also choose between a bagel and croissant for your bread. My recommendation is the croissant all the way -just try one and you will see. One of the people who recommended this place to us, has basically worked his way through the display case already and he has yet to find something that he doesnt like. The seasonal cookies are always really cute looking too - we will have to try it one day. They also have coffee of course and assorted other drinks. We havent yet tried their lunch offerings, so this review is pretty much for breakfast. Overall: We will definitely be back - it's a great breakfast option for both sweet and savory in that plaza. Especially if you are going to an early morning class at one of the other businesses in there. Plenty of parking and great service. Don't forget your yelp check in for your discount too! read more

I would give this place a solid 3.5 stars if that was an option. As a parent, I really appreciate the fact that they have a little kids corner with a little table and toys for them to play with. Churro doughnut - Yum! Also got a breakfast croissant sandwich which was HUGE! If you are getting one for a kiddo they probably only need a half and can share with someone. Several options in the display case including other varieties of donuts, cupcakes and cookies. They did have some free samples out as well. I love this little local bakery! The staff are super friendly and the pastries look amazing although I usually just get a breakfast bagel sandwich and coffee. They have plenty of different flavors of creamer, hot coffee and great prices for a quick breakfast. I'm glad this place is right across the street from me so I can grab something quick when I don't want to cook breakfast. Was craving donuts and found this place on Yelp. Had positive reviews and was expecting it to be delicious. However, upon eating, I realized everysingle item I got from them was dry and tasteless. I could get better bakery items from Mcdonald. The "churro donut" didn't taste anything like a churro and I, unfortunately, had to throw out the entire box of baked goods. I think these are the best donuts I have ever had, better than Donut Snob! They don't even skimp on the chocolate frosting, which is usually just sugary and unflavorful at all the other donut shops I have been to. These are chocolatey and decadent! I love how the churro donut is soft with a delicately crisp skin and slight chewiness in the cake. Everyone is also super friendly which is always a nice plus. And the decaf coffee is solid. It is so close to my house and I have been meaning to go there for awhile. I went today and was happy I did. Very friendly girl taking my order. I got a sandwich, turkey on a french roll. It had a lot of fixings to go with it. Lettuce, cheese, tomato, avocado, onion, pickles, sprouts, mayo and mustard. I had them leave off pickles, sprouts and mustard. Very tasty sandwich. The bread was very fresh and soft. Everything was fresh really. I didn't have any pastry, cookies or cupcakes but they looked very good and the chocolate chip cookies were huge! Many of their donut creations are wonderfully imaginative & uniquely delicious. They have donuts with cereal on top, others with crunchy dots, others inspired by churros, & even amazing mini-cupcakes. The breakfast sandwiches & deli sandwiches are so fresh and tasty too.
