The lady was nice enough but she was sloppy in her work. I asked for chrome and she was trying to save material or something because she gave me a really thin layer and you can see all the empty patches. I asked her to add more on one hand and she did and that one turned out nicer. Update: it's only been one day and I already see cracks in the nails :( I think the polish she used was too old and it was also applied on too thick. Yesterday morning I went to this salon because I needed a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. I asked for five different color for each top of my nails. One woman did my feet and the other one my hands. They both did a good job, but when I had to pay I didn't like how the youngest woman treated me. She said I had to pay more (like the French manicure) because my work took longer time and because I asked for different color. I didn't know that until I had to pay. One of the cheaper nail salons in the area. They're located on Haight, so parking is limited but doable. Gel Manicure starts at $25 and is more expensive based on the color / nail polish brand you choose. There is also a fee to remove any existing gel polish. The color on my nails came out really nicely, thought I'm a bit concerned because she applied 3-4 coats in addition to 2-3 of the gel stuff that goes on top. Not sure if she was forgetting what she had already done or if she has some sort of method that no one else seems to be aware of... I made an appointment and they started 10minutes after.
