So the movers were good... Two guys came, very professional very careful. The problem is with the billing. This is an advertised $495 special that is supposed to give you three hours. They got to my place at 745 AM and they were done with the whole thing by 10:28 AM. But then they told me that it was going to be more than the 495... That it was going to be $603... And when I asked why it turns out that they wanted to bill me an extra $108 for the fact that they drove to my house. The idea of charging $100 for their travel time really seems lame. It's too bad, since I wanted to tip the workers... But ended up not having enough money to do that because of this extra of charge. Really a bummer. read more

Used this company for a long moving day. Everyone was wonderful, and Ernesto, Victor, and Kevin made the day so much less stressful! The price ended up being a lot more than I thought, but it seemed reasonable for comparable service (considering an almost 8 hour move). Very professional but upbeat and positive, and they never hesitated to go the extra distance to help me rearrange something or put together a piece of furniture. If you decide halfway through that, you know, that large X won't fit after all and you don't want it, then they'll even take things away for a flat rate. That was perfect! Overall my trip was super complicated - 8 hours and three origination points consolidated to one truck and one location - but it was probably the least stressful part of my week. Thanks guys! Thomas, Kevin and DJ were our Move-In Day superheroes! After a long day of driving from the Bay Area to San Diego, unpacking a full 20' Uhaul truck was made so much easier with these guys because... 1. They showed up 20 minutes EARLY! 2. They laid down mats to cover our white carpet and pads to protect the doorways. 3. They were literally running from the truck, to the 3rd floor and back! 4. They had a great CAN DO attitude and they were very pleasant to work with! 5. Nothing broke! Nothing was damaged! It took us a full day to pack our Uhaul truck, admittedly. I can't speak for the actual move since I had to cancel due to personal time constraints but they have amazing customer service. They were able to answer all of my questions and help me as best as they can. They even called me later in the week to try to accommodate my specific needs. In October 2018 we hired Reliable Delivery to move from our home to their storage facility and then in December 2018 move our belongings from storage into our new home. The crew was accommodating in that they moved outdoor plants which they don't usually do; however, that was the only positive experience we had with the company. For starters, they came in a total of $3,421 over their estimates....$1,830 over on the initial move; $1,591 from their storage facility to our new home. Their excuse for the overage was feeble, especially for the second move. The final move into our new home was disappointing to say the least: * They lost belongings of ours while in storage and offered very little as compensation. * They were sloppy with their delivery leaving dirty finger/hand prints on doors. * We had to follow them around to make sure they picked up packing materials left on the floors/ground. * The foreman on duty for the second day of the final move was very lax in making sure the crew put all items, especially lamps, back together they way that they originally found and packed them. Overall, Reliable Delivery, was far from 'reliable' and based upon our unpleasant experience, we would never use them again or recommend them. read more

This company is exemplary. I've just completed my third move with them - 2013, 2017, 2020. I have moved a lot and have used many moving companies before finding Reliable Delivery. Even tried another company in-between thinking it would be more budget friendly - mistake not to be repeated. Scheduling is easy, quick, and thorough with the right questions asked. Pricing is upfront and reasonable. All three crews for each move have gone above and beyond my expectations, and my expectations were higher each time! The owner, Dan, trains them right, provides the right equipment, and true to his word, does not ask anything of them that he would not do himself. He came out during the first move to help with a particularly perplexing dilemma - moving an extremely heavy family heirloom upstairs that was too large to navigate the stairs and small landing. With brute strength, ropes, and other safety precautions, they literally lifted it up and over the railing to the second set of stairs. The crew this week, Collin, Ivan, and Eddie, were again amazing. Friendly, courteous, efficient, timely, helpful, thoughtful, thorough - with me and with all of my "stuff". We just moved for the fifth time in the last 10 years. This was by far the best moving experience ever. I called Dan at reliable delivery and explained our needs. It was an easy decision to choose them upfront just based on the conversation that we had. When Dan and his crew of strong Americans showed up, the experience could not have been better. They were extremely careful, incredibly efficient and the most professional outfit you can imagine. My wife commented that no one has ever taken better care of our belongings than reliable delivery. It was a Monday and I was looking for local movers for that same Saturday. Not really knowing where to start, I used Yelp's handy feature to reach out to 10 moving companies with one single email. What sealed the deal for me with Reliable Delivery was that they were the ONLY ones that didn't charge a 3-hour minimum (they had a 2-hour minimum). That was big to me because I was literally moving one bedroom's worth of things just 1.5 miles away and didn't think it would take more than 2 hours, nonetheless 3. Fortunately they had 1 time slot of availability open for my Saturday, so after reading through their great reviews, I nabbed it. I didn't even wait for the remaining quotes from my initial email to come in. Josh from the office was helpful, prompt, and courteous when reaching out to me to confirm the appointment and answer a question I had. On moving day my movers (Kyle and Derek) were professional and hard working. No time wasted and they came ready to work and get us all on our way. Derek was great about communicating his ETA when their previous job was running over, and on top of everything when taking inventory and handling all of the onsite paperwork, including the payment process. One thing to note (that I didn't see mentioned anywhere online or on the documentation) is that the company policy requires all electronics to be boxed, whether it be in your packaging or renting a box from Reliable Delivery. I had a 42" TV that needed to be boxed and that was a $35 rental charge. My honest recommendation would be to pre-purchase your own box for probably much, much less. They had told me that I could keep their box after using it, but it was never offered to me after the TV was unboxed, which--and this was my fault--I had forgotten about completely. There's also a gas fee that I know other companies "don't" charge, but did not stop me from hiring them, nor would it ever be a factor if I needed them again. All in all, these guys made a potentially stressful afternoon of moving go very smoothly. Nothing was broken or missing. The process was expeditious and professional.
