I want to say that Reliable Delivery was awesome! Josh at Reliable Delivery was fantastic. I sent Josh photos of the items we needed to be packed, moved and possibly stored. In less than 24 hours Josh emailed us a quote based on the photos. I informed Josh that we had planned to pack some of the items before Reliable Delivery arrived. Josh said "No problem." He went on to say that the more we packed ourselves the less hours his crew would have to work which would reduce our cost. He also advised that his packers would use our packing materials first and then would use their packing materials if necessary. We purchased our own boxes and tape. The original estimate called for 2 packers (4 hours minimum) on the first day and 3 movers (4 hour minimum) on the second day. Josh recommend that once the packers were finished packing that they should be asked to rearrange items already in the garage to make room thus reducing the cost of our labor. In the days before the packers arrived we were able to pack a lot on our own. On our scheduled pack date, 2 packers (Alan and Author) arrived earlier than expected. They immediately went to work boxing items. At the 4 hour mark the packers were almost done packing everything. The packers said that they planned to stay and move all the items to the garage. There was no need for anyone to return the next day. They were able to strategically place all items in our garage. There was no need to transport and store items with Reliable Delivery. Even though I had arranged for movers on the second day, Josh said that the second day was not necessary. We were only charged for a minor amount of their packing materials and the first day's labor. This was the third time members of our family had used Reliable Delivery. Each time we received the same high quality, timely and expert service. I've worked with a lot of moving companies over the years, and these guys were by far the best I've encountered. We had a pretty difficult move, because we still had a lot of stuff that wasn't boxed. My wife and I are parents and both have full-time careers, so we just simply could not get it all done prior to moving day. They came a day early to help us pack. Of course, they charge by the hour to pack, but they were far more efficient at packing than we could ever be, so I felt it was a great value. Prior to that, they also did a consultation visit to size up the move and start planning. On moving day, they showed up early and hit the ground running. We had 4 movers assigned to us - one was very much the leader and in charge of inventory, billing, etc., but they all worked quickly and hard. They all had great, positive attitudes and were fun to work with. Since we spent a significant amount of time with each other, we even got to know each other somewhat and joke around, which helped to lighten the normally dismal drudgery of moving to an almost "fun" activity. Certainly, no movers have ever been able to achieve that with me before because I would rather have an all-day root canal than move. It is the most mundane, boring task I can imagine. They moved everything very carefully and left no marks on the walls in our new house. They put down carpets and moving rugs to protect the floors. They worked through the very small double-back staircase that serves all of the bedrooms and bathrooms, where the vast majority of our stuff had to go. It must have been an incredible pain in the ass for them, but they did it so well. Can't say enough positive about these guys. They may not be the cheapest in town, but as someone who has had ample experience with cheaper movers, I can say you truly get what you pay for. Thanks, Reliable Delivery! Contacted multiple moving services in San Diego before booking with Reliable Delivery, these guys came in with the most reasonable quote. My wife and I packed all our stuff and had it staged in our garage day of the move. Furniture and very heavy boxes we left in their respective rooms. Move was scheduled for 8 am. Reliable Delivery called around 7:30 am to let me know they were on the way and would arrive by 8 am. Thomas, Ivan and Kevin were our movers and were professional, courteous and efficient throughout the move. Upon arrival they toured the house with me for a quick overview of where our furniture and heavy boxes were, and roughly how much was in the garage to move. Then they got to work. One gentleman worked on moving everything out of the garage while the other two worked inside with the furniture and heavy things. Really only took them an hour and a half to get everything packed and ready to go. Arriving at our new place was the same story. They quickly unloaded the truck either into our garage or to a room the boxes were labeled for, and were in constant communication with me about where things ought to go. I appreciated their attention to detail in taking care of the things they were handling and the speed and efficiency of their work. (If I could give these guys 10 stars, I would!) We moved from a two bed apartment in North Park to a single family home in La Mesa. I got a quote online, in just a matter of hours, and scheduled the move. Easy and straight forward - no problem. We had three movers (Luke, Ryan and Gary) and they were awesome. Young guys, very friendly, respectful, professional and polite. Everything was handled with extreme care. They padded the frame of the front door and laid down floor protection. All the furniture was wrapped (and double-wrapped) with furniture pads and stretch wrap. I wish I would've taken a picture of their work - it was very impressive. These guys hustled the entire time. I don't know how they finished as fast as they did, especially considering that they were so careful with everything. It was really hot that day but they did not let that deter or slow their work at all. You get what you pay for. The price ended up being a little more than I thought but that was because I didn't read the contract thoroughly. I paid in cash because it was a cheaper rate than a credit card. Everything was spelled out in black and white and at the end, Gary walked me through it all. But I would've paid double for this move and the work these guys did. I've used this company 5-6 years ago, when it was a lot smaller and was soo happy with them. I contact Reliable Delivery again for my move! I had the move service thinking they can help me move my bigger items. I wish I had utilize the pack service from the beginning. We had so much stuff! Anyways, I submitted a quote request via Yelp and Josh contacted me to verify some items and provided me a quote within an hour for a 5 hour min. After contacting other movers, I scheduled with Josh. On the day of the move, I recieved a call 30 mins before the crew arrived. The crew (Thomas, Alex & Kevin) arrived promptly and began working right away. They were really fast and efficient. We used the entire 5 hour. Thomas was the lead and work with us through the whole move. Thomas, Alex and Kevin were hustling to pack the truck. All of our items made it safely to our new home. No broken items. We ended up scheduling a 2 man/3 hour min move a few days later because we had so much stuff that would take up more of our time. Thomas and Alex finished the morning appointment way earlier than our schedule time which was so helpful! Thomas was accomodating and made our move smoothly and everything worked out. I gave them a call and Dan (the owner) said that they just charge by the time it takes. No minimum. I scheduled an appointment. They (2 guys - Dan and Chris) were on time and busted ass to get me moved as swiftly as possible all while taking extreme care of my stuff. I've really been dreading this move for oh so many reasons; one reason is hearing the awful horror stories of moving companies being unprofessional and expensive. It's so nice to find a delivery company that understands the (all too) common man. I stumbled upon Reliable Delivery by word of mouth - one of my friends had worked for the company a few years ago and told me that they could help with my "up the stairs" move that turns off many companies (and friends). I only had a few large items that I needed help to transport and move, and I wasn't sure I could get them to fit into my new place. The owner of the company (Dan) came to my new condo and surveyed the situation, and I was extremely impressed with his quick assessment of how we could fit these items (futon, armoire) up the stairs and into my place. I thought I had a good spatial mind, but his knowledge of how to turn and manipulate these items seemed almost innate. The best part was that he was easy to talk to and communicated exactly what he was intending to do. He saved my back (and brain) a ton of pain and all of my items were delivered perfectly. Reliable Delivery helped me move my 1 bedroom apartment in San Diego to another a few miles down. I did my research on movers in the San Diego area and found these guys had the best reviews. (Thank goodness for Yelp!) To book them, I simply went on their website and completed the necessary form. A few minutes later, I get a call from the owner, Daniel. Even in the very beginning he was very professional and answered all my questions and concerns. He was upfront with estimation costs and it is worthy to note that in the end, his estimation was spot on and there were no hidden fees. I have heard rumors about other people being screwed because movers did not mention other fees included while booking them; Daniel is an honest business man and was not at all trying to take advantage of the situation. The day of the move went without a hitch, not to mention it was even raining. Daniel and another gentleman both arrived at the scheduled time of 8am and worked efficiently the entire time. The move was done in about 3 hours - going up some steep, slippery stairs and not complaining once!! (There was another moving company at my new place with twice as many more movers but the RD team had them beat by their efficiency!!) There was no damage to any of my things. They brought 3 courtesy wardrobe boxes, which ended up coming in handy for loose items I needed to pack. I highly recommend Reliable Delivery for anyone moving in the San Diego area. With anything service related I yelp first, ask pricing questions later. Boy am I glad I did! First, Reliable has a 1 hour minimum, not 3 or 4 like everyone else. For someone like me, who actually packs and organizes my move for the movers before they get there, this is important. Minimums are for people that are still packing and in the way when the movers get there. Second- Chris and Seth showed up on the nose at 8:00, they were friendly and in uniforms and they got right to work. I took them on a tour of the furniture and boxes, let them know the layout of the new house and off they went. They even remembered where everything was supposed to go in the new house!?!? My entire move took 2.5 hours and nothing broke (except for the coffee pot I broke myself the next day:). Seth and Chris were courteous and professional, my move came in under my quote, and I am one happily moved Chiquita. Reliable Delivery was just that. Reliable Delivery has been sitting in my "To Review" bookmarks for months. After I moved to my new apartment I immediately forgot my movers' names, and kept meaning to find the receipt on which I'd written them down. However, almost three and a half months later I think it's official that I've lost the receipt. Anyway, no names are better than no review right? :) I just wanted to say that I was pretty impressed by these guys. I found them online, emailed in the contract a few weeks ahead of time, and received a quick confirmation. The morning of my move I got suddenly nervous since I hadn't talked to the company since the confirmation several weeks before...that is, until I got their phone call around 7:45 am. The guys were actually early for the 8:00 move! Unheard of, at least in my experience. I was moving to an apartment only a mile and a half away, and Reliable Delivery made this the no fuss experience that it should have been. Everything was done quickly and efficiently. The two movers who came wrapped all of my furniture up and secured all of my boxes. They even brought several of those tall wardrobe boxes to hang any clothes that I wanted to leave on the hangers (they let me know they'd be bringing them ahead of time so I had the clothes ready). They charge $90/hr for two movers, and $130/hr for three movers, charged by 15-minute increments after the first hour. There is a $40 fuel charge, and a drive charge for double the hourly rate, also in 15-minute increments...and I believe a small fee for flights of stairs. The pay-in-cash yelp discount (10% off) was pretty awesome...and it appears now to be $10 off the hourly rate, according to the yelp page :) Definitely make sure you check on whether you need cash for the discount though. I can't remember the exact price for my several hours of moving, but it was somewhere around $230 or $240 without tip...way better than the $400+ that was quoted to me by three other moving companies I had contacted. If I need to move locally again, I'm definitely calling Reliable Delivery again! Highly recommended. read more

We were referred to Reliable Delivery by our friends who were moving the same day as us from the same location. Ha-ha. We moved on June 1st and alls I got to say is that Josh, Chris and Seth are f'en awesome! Daniel, if you're reading this, these guys deserve a raise. They worked really hard. The guys were super nice and professional and fast! We had some hefty furniture and they made moving big items look easy which is certainly not...for me at least. I couldn't thank them enough. We took advantage of the 5% off when mentioning yelp and also the M-F, one hour minimum. Our move took a bit over two hours but knowing that there's only a one hour minimum, felt like a bargain. All of the other movers I looked into had a 3 or even 4 hour minimum. That's crazy! On average, it shouldbe a 2 hour minimum. That's just my thought. I would definitely recommend Reliable Delivery to anyone who is looking for movers. And if you could, try to ask for Josh, Chris and Seth. The next time we move, I'm calling these guys back. This was my first time using a moving company and I had heard horror story after horror story but after reading the Yelp reviews decided to go with this company (thanks Yelpers~!) They were on time, worked quickly and efficiently and were super courteous. I was really surprised by how professional the two gentlemen were since they looked like college kids. They barely let me lift a finger. IF using the 10% cash discount, I would suggest taking out more cash than you anticipate (don't forget tip!). As well, make sure to box up everything since they are wary about things moving around in the truck. They will however wrap ALL of your artwork and mirrors and shrink wrap anything that needs it. I've used them twice now and would recommend them to friends and family. Our home was no easy job. Tri level 6 bedroom home with stairs at every entrance and these guys handled everything like pros. The crew was polite, clean, and professional. I never heard cussing or horseplay. They move quick and I never felt like they were milking the clock. In fact they were unloading the trucks so fast I hardly had time to direct placement of furniture. We did have a dresser drawer damaged and although our contract stated their not responsible for damage to press board, Daniel did good by honoring our claim anyways.
