A wide variety of great handyman services are available from Response Crew. I found their handymen to be highly capable, flexible, experienced, friendly, and their office staff have great customer service. I've used their services probably a dozen times in every situation that calls for professional help: drywalling, electrical work, plumbing work, cabinetry in shelving work, and about a half dozen more types of handyman work. The prices are quite reasonable and they're very clear up front with their contracts and their hourly prices. They have a minimum cost which includes a couple hours of work and then they give you a fixed price per hour for any work that goes beyond the estimated hours / additional work. They're really good at texting too- as soon as you book them, a text appears with the schedule date and time and when they're on their way they send the picture of the handyman that's going to appear at your front door. I highly recommend these guys for any handyman work in the Scottsdale/ Phoenix metro area. read more

I scheduled to have two very heavy lights hung. I sent them the light I wanted hung, a picture of the area I wanted them hung and how heavy they were. Two handymen showed up and had no clue what they were getting themselves into and instead of saying they wouldn't be able to do it, they did a hack job. Not only that, but they never actually got our second light hung during the time/rate we agreed on and left us with an unfinished job. We ended up calling Parker and Sons to come do the second light and they told us the handymen screwed up the first light to the point where a drywall repair would not have been possible I've asked for a PARTIAL refund because we ended up having to pay Parker and Sons to fix their work. After giving all information and the invoice from Parker and sons which literally says the previous work was done incorrectly... no refund, terrible management, and now I'm out $400+ read more

Response Crew is my new favorite handyman company. We had a hot water leak that resulted in the need for some drywall, baseboard, and carpet removal for a drying out process of everything affected by the leak. Per our insurance company, two different construction companies came out to give us an estimate on needed repairs. When it came time to schedule, neither of the other companies were responsive. I called Response Crew, and they scheduled us for repairs in less than 2 weeks! The intake process is really simple. I emailed Response Crew a report of what we needed fixed and photos of the job. They sent back an estimate for labor and said any needed materials would be charged at actual cost (no mark-ups). On the day of service, Jack called prior to the service window time to let me know he was on the way. Jack and David arrived on time. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They completed the work as discussed in our emails with Response Crew, and even finished a little earlier than expected. Of note: we still need some carpet padding replaced and a small area of carpet re-installed, but Response Crew let me know ahead of time that they don't contract for flooring needs. I highly recommend Response Crew for any household repairs that they contract for. This is the second time we have worked with them, and we have been very pleased with their work and communication on both projects. However, I would not call them 'Handyman' as there are some very basic handyman things they won't do such as replacing Shower Glass Doors, small-job painting (Trim, doors, cabinets), and probably more. The kitchen drawer quit working. I wouldn't close right. What do you do? I hated it. I asked my air conditioning support staff if they knew anyone that was ok. They recommended Response Crew. As hindsight they threw in that Response Crew are honest too. Hmm. I called. Shared my dilemma. He offered service the next day and didn't try to corner me into a time that was convenient for them, but tried to work w my time constraints. On the price, I did ask for a discount. I'm older and have to be careful. The office sent me a pic of the workman and he arrived promptly. I appreciate the pic. Really. Of course, if necessary, I would have to pay for the time it took him to go to the store to purchase and supplies. I did look myself and couldn't see the problem w the drawer. I also showed this shelf that had the clippy break and I was using cheapy wire shelving I hated. He fixed the draw without me realizing it. The railing of the drawer went weird-out of the blue. As for the shelf I had lots of replacement clippies so he wouldn't have to go to the store. The holes were so small I couldn't get any clippies to fit and the location was inconvenient. He offered a better fix that will never break. He fixed that in 5 minutes? I had time left on the clock. He shared other areas he works. I offered my bedroom door that fell off the hinges and someone did a quick fix on it. I was told that I'd have to buy a new door for that, but that this other person would fix it for free. That was actually generous of him. Another guy, carpet cleane, offered that he could fix it too, but I should get a new door. So Id have to pay $80 for the door and then pay delivery. I just kept the door open. It looked ok. I show the workman my issue. He said I didn't need a new door. They just didn't attach it properly. He was real nice about it. Didn't bad mouth anyone. I questioned if he really fixed it. He insisted I test it out. The drawer, I kind of questioned that too bc it was fixed so fast. He showed me by testing it kind of hard. This workman could have tried to play me a couple of times and he never did. I still had time left. He was well groomed, thoughtful, and did very nice work. Very positive person. If I had it to do over again I'd have had other tasked lined up. There will be another time I need support and I'll do it then. This company is good and honest. Excellent. Davy was amazing, he patched the holes where we had wall mounted our tvs, we walked around our whole rental house and patched every hole/dent. Even in some cinder blocks (satellite mount). I needed texture on a 6 foot by 4' section of my ceiling after I replaced an older fluorescent light fixture and installed two pendant lights. I am able to drywall and spackle, but I cannot match texture. Jennifer was extremely helpful and nice during my initial call and getting things setup. After the texture dried and I put on a coat of paint, I felt that the texture did not match well enough and I called to inquire what can be done. We are in the midst of selling our house. Somehow, our front door was not locking well and was a little difficult at times to open. I called Response Crew Friday morning to schedule a workman. Jennifer, the operations manager, said the earliest she could get somebody out was Tuesday, June 1. We were tentatively scheduled to be out of town that day. I told Jennifer I would call her back in a little while after I spoke with my wife. I called back and Jennifer said the June 1 opening was no longer available. I had just learned the buyer of our house had scheduled a property inspection Tuesday morning, June 1. Jennifer said she could get somebody to help us on June 2. I said we really wanted to get the door, and a plumbing slow leak, fixed before the inspection. She told me to hold for a minute. When she came back she said there would be a workman at my house within the hour. I was ecstatic. The workman turned out to be Jack Austin, a very nice guy. He went to work on the double-front door trying to get them to lock and open easily. He finally decided the only way to fix it was to either replace the wood threshold, which matched our wood floor perfectly, or to sand the threshold down. He did not have his sander with him, but said he could return Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. That sounded too good to be true. Jack showed up on time this morning, worked on the door to make it functionally like brand new! He also worked on our slow plumbing leak from our pressure regulator. He tried to stop the leak without replacing the pressure regulator, but that was not possible. He went to Home Depot, bought a new regulator, and ending up fitting the new part into our plumbing system. Jack continually explained everything to me and even gave me some good advice on a couple of other projects I am working on. Jack built up my confidence in him and I knew he was going to figure out our double-front door issues. Which he did. We are so grateful to Jack and to Jennifer, for getting him out to our house quickly when we really needed the help. On his way out, Jack said if anything else came up, he could come over on Monday, Memorial Day, and help out. It doesn't get much better than that! We need more "Jacks" in the world! read more

The phrase "on time and under budget" never means as much to someone until the project is personal. I needed a door put into a wall to conjoin two rooms, and in doing so I gave our technician Kelly a real run for his money! But he rose to the occasion and exceeded my expectations in every way. He also did a wildly fast install on a couple of ceiling lights in the kitchen and a new grounded outlet in the laundry space. All in about 6 hours. We had a bunch of handyman work that included re-pairing two sliding closet doors, replacing a kitchen cabinet hinge, and repairing the track system on a bathroom closet pocket door that included cutting into drywall to repair the track bracket. He cut a hole into the drywall, repaired the track and bracket repaired the drywall, and squared off repainting the wall. The paint and drywall finish matched perfectly. On November 7 2022 David from Response Crew came out to do a new installation of a bathroom fan. This job had a lot of moving parts. David had to first locate and cut a neat hole in the bathroom ceiling, then get into the attic and install the fan itself. Next, run fan exhaust ductwork across the attic and out. Finally, an electrical power line had to be fished up from the wall switch in the bathroom up to the fan. David did an excellent job. I've dealt with a lot of contractors in the past and feared all kinds of things going wrong, nothing did. I was really impressed. I would not hesitate to call Response Crew again. read more

Requested and schedule drywall service. At the time the work was to be performed, the office called and stated that the laborer was sick. They wanted to reschedule for another two weeks out. I did ask since they had a cancellation fee for the customer, were they going to pay me since they cancelled at the last minute? They didn't think that was funny. Love that they showed up in a mask. I've used Response Crew a dozen times over the years to solve problems. Today I woke up to a smoke detector chirping about a low battery. The chirp came from a detector sixteen feet in the air, which is about 15 feet higher than I like to go. So I called, and they had someone at my door in a few hours. While it wasn't an emergency, they treated it with urgency and I appreciate that. The tech was pleasant and efficient and quick, he changed nine batteries in nine detectors around the house, and in a short bit he was out the door and I had no more maddening chirps. We were looking for an all-around style handyman that would repair items inside and outside of the home. I contacted Response Crew after searching and reading reviews. I had it narrowed down to them and one other. I sent my work request to both companies. Jennifer kept in communication with me through email which was super helpful as I was trying to work full time and get repairs set up for our new home. She communicated clearly and concisely and was straight forward about what they could repair, what they couldn't, and they would have to assess onsite. The rates were stated without hidden costs. The day of the scheduled appointment, I received a text message that advised me who the technician would be with a picture of him. Kelly was our technician and contacted me prior to heading out. He provided me an estimate of when he would arrive and even beat me to the house by a few seconds. He made sure to do a complete walk through with me on the items for repair that were on his list to make sure he understood what I expected and to make sure that nothing was missed. He explained any items were he would have to purchase materials and any items he may not be able to fix. Once the work was done, he had taken before and after photos for comparison and provided notes on my repair list that I had created. He again provided a complete walk through. I post a recommendation on SL for an electrical service. Respond Crew "Handyman" said they can do it. I calls and told Jennifer what the problem/issue I have. She said her guys are great. However, when they sent me the worker. This guy was not experience enough to do the job, he asked to look for my fuse box to look for the switch t turn off the lights, I show him (obviously it labeled). He keeps turn the switch that are not active. I did it labeled. As for my ceiling fan that has little technical with the ceiling light. He wouldn't climb up to look (oh wait.. he didn't have a ladder) I offered mine. He also said this is "not my expertise, you need an electrician come out to run a wire for the light). I called the office, Jennifer said oh "he's great! He will do wonderful job. NOT.. he's a HANDYMAN NOT ELECTRICIAN! I made him leave and not doing extra work that I requested. Sine I don't want more issues when he's not electrician! However, next day Ruth called me and charged CC without my approval. I said I'm disappointed that you send a handyman and electrician You should give me a discount. She said "they guys are do minor jobs. Well this is not a minor job when I have electrical issues".
