Reunion is a hard-one for me. I've had hits, and I have had misses. An example of a hit, I visited their Anaheim location after a local football game at Champan. The restaurant was quieting down after their Friday night rush. Food was great, quick, server was awesome while also reading that we just needed to "detox" after the game. A miss, I took my partner to the laguna location last Valentines. That night felt mismanaged. Our food took awhile, which was odd when we visited around the end of the dinner rush. That's not to say the pot pie was bad, far from it. The food was great, the service just missed a mark. Things like refills on my water got missed. And worst of all, the dessert that is a name-sake to Reunion, was out of stock. I will say the Chef did offer the other dessert free of charge, but the primary reason we chose Reunion was the butter cake. We opted to just go down to Southswell for an ice-cream. I'll still continue to visit Reunion and its sister Asada, mostly because my partner likes it. Can I justify it compared to other establishments in the category, not always. But it definitely will receive a visit or two from me annually. read more

We love going to the reunion kitchen. It's become a regular and reliable place for us to enjoy good food, good drinks, good service and good company. We go for dinner most often but have been there for breakfast too and find it very enjoyable. Really unfortunate seeing this place start to slide. I used to eat here multiple times a week as I live right down the street, but it seems they're being directed to reduce the amount of protein in their meals to reduce cost. The burger patties are smaller, the chicken proportions are smaller..yesterday my sandwhich literally was just half lettuce. I hope ownership recognizes this and makes a change before it's too late. I've been here several times and have always been happy with the food, service, and ambience here. Food and service have always stayed consistent. Our server, Wynter, is super sweet and attentive. In the past we've ordered for dinner: short rib griller (sandwich), pan roasted salmon, bacon wrapped jalapeños, salmon citrus salad, short rib stroganoff, slow braised short rib, bbq rib stack, and the rosemary's chicken. My favorites are now the short rib stroganoff and the pan roasted salmon. My bf generally really likes the short rib griller. Drinks are great here and reasonably priced $14-$16, which is the average for this area. I would highly recommend the strawberry lemon drop and the blackberry breeze if you're looking into something on the sweeter side. After the meal, it comes with a nice hot towel, which I think is a huge plus! read more

The ambiance is awesome and it's a cute restaurant with good vibes! Parking is located behind the restaurant in the same lot as Pavillions. Food/Drinks: I ordered Rosemary's chicken and biscuits. The chicken was tiny and it was over breaded. The best part of the meal was the mashed potatoes and biscuit. The honey butter was so tasty oh my. I wanted two of those biscuits just so I could use all of the honey butter given. My wife ordered the OC sourdough burger. The fries are excellent and the burger overall was pretty good. The sourdough was on the oily side, assuming the buttered it up before toasting it. The food was underwhelming. I definitely will order something else next time because I just think I didn't order what this restaurant is known for. I also ordered the vanilla old fashion. Tasted exactly how it sounds like. Drink was well done. Service/Ambiance: I love restaurants along the PCH. The overall vibe was awesome. Everyone who helped us was kind and we felt comfortable dining here. A surcharge for plate sharing is insane. Our server was great, the prices are steep, the portions for entrees are huge. My party loved the pot pie and the deviled eggs. Wynter was my server this evening and was amazing! She promptly greeted my buddy and myself, informing us that she will return. She was juggling a large party. As my other review mentioned at the Anaheim Hills location, the dishes are amazing. I actually ordered the same items as my previous visit. Impressive food. The cafe patty melt was a perfect combo of great flavors. The prime rib was moist and blended well with the horseradish aioli. Attended the restaurant on January 13th for a friends Birthday. Kelsey, the manager was pulling triple duty as host, bartender, and manager. While Reunion was packed they squeezed us in at a table prior to a reservation showing up, and we were slipped in to another table when the reservation group showed up. Excellent meal right on PCH. We saw the menu online and decided to give it a try. So glad we did! No wait. We sat outside just as the sun was setting. Plenty of tables and heaters available if needed. The staff were all friendly and helpful with their suggestions and knowledge of the menu. We decided to share the tuna melt and salmon salad. The tuna melt was very fresh, came with cheddar and tomato on it, which I appreciate and felt healthy, but just a tad dry due to the minimal (of any) use of mayonnaise in the tuna. The bread was sourdough, but nothing too special. I would have enjoyed a thicker, softer bread. The shoestring French fries are fabulous; I loved the pepper on them. The citrus salmon salad was the superstar! Nice mix of greens, grapefruit, roasted red peppers (I could have done without, a bit overpowering) red onions, feta cheese, and candied pecans topped with three generous pieces of delicious salmon. Really, the salmon was prepared perfectly, flavorful, crispy, moist, yum! I highly recommend this salad and look forward to coming back for it. At the end, the server brought hot towels for us. I had high hopes for this restaurant because my sister went to the other location and loved it. When I called to ask for a same day reservation (Mother's Day 5/8/2022) they said they were all booked for the entire day and that I could "try" my luck and walk in but there was a good chance there wouldn't be a table. My sister really wanted to go so we took a chance not expecting to get a table at all. When we got there a little after 5:30pm, they weren't that busy at all and we were seated right away. Kinda odd but off we went to sit on the patio. Their patio set up has cheap patio tables and chairs, some missing seat cushions and tables kinda dusty and dirty. Furniture and atmosphere was too simple for a place that charges an average of $30 per plate of food. It was messy and tables just strewn about. While we were dining they allowed 2 homeless people to also hang out on the patio. These people brought their little shopping carts along with them full of dirty clothes and bedding. I really don't mean to be rude or mean but it was just really unappetizing. They should have made them leave. It seemed like it was a regular hang out spot for them. The one homeless person was looking around staring at all the diners including us and it was just very awkward. The food is very underwhelming. It isn't anything special or spectacular as the reviews make it seem. Beef Short ribs were ok, kinda salty, mashed potatoes not flavorful, kind of a wet mess. Flat iron steak over cooked, tough and the asparagus it came with was old and half of each stalk was not edible because it was to stringy to even chew. My boyfriend had to spit half of each asparagus stalk out. Fish and chips were meh.... It seemed fresh-ish but there was no flavor, batter was kinda burnt. Over all, the food wasn't terrible but just very mediocre. Service wasn't terrible, we were pretty low maintenance. The server was polite but not as personable. I'm not complaining, service was fine. Just wished they did something about the homeless people. I saw a few workers come out and looked at them but no one approached them. At one point a manager even came out to bring out my boyfriend's dish but she didn't say anything to them either. I didn't say anything because honestly I just wanted to quickly finish and leave. Also- I didn't wanna be "that" person and complain about homeless people. However, as business owners, they should have taken it upon themselves to address it so their customers don't need to be put in this position. I work a corporate job now but when I used to work in customer service management, it was a regular thing for me to take care of situations like these. Over all, I would not come back. Most of the food I could literally cook at home for 1/3 the price. Sorry but I honestly did not enjoy this restaurant. read more

Fantastic for brunch! My friends and I were in town and were looking for a great kick off to the day; the food, and service certainly fit the bill. We each enjoyed the breakfast items we ordered which included the short rib machaca and egg dish. The beef was well seasoned and paired well with the eggs. The breakfast hangover burrito was delicious as well. We took advantage of the breakfast club special which allowed for a glass of bubbles for an additional $5.95..let me say it was a decent glass of bubbly. The only thing which would have improved my experience would have been to have the option to eat outdoors as it was a beautiful morning and given the pandemic is still an issue, I would have loved the option. His was so unbelievably sour, mine was warm and the flavor combination just did not work, I returned it. He got the chicken sandwich, I got the beef stroganoff. Fries say they are "shoestring" but they aren't, they are just frozen like fast food fries. The fried chicken was really thin and didn't have any seasoning to the breading. The beef stroganoff also had no flavor, it was cooked well but zero flavor, and no sauce or anything on the noodles either. It had "fried onions" on top, but they tasted like they were fried a couple days ago and microwaved, they were weirdly chewy/soggy/stale and the two GIANT pieces of over cooked cheese bread with it was just weird. Yes, this little eatery, was suggested by a friend we decided to pop in , watch the game and have something to eat.. we got there early sat at one of the high tops with a nice clear view of the game had the most delicious Asian short ribs with a citrus slaw , so fresh . With our IPA and wine we also had the Caesar salad, basic. We decided that we were still hungry, so we had their jalapeño cheddar cheeseburger with avocado and fries. It was ok... our friends had the crispy fried chicken with mashed potatoes and biscuits . ( I didn't try it, but boy it sure looked good, and smelled even better.) Our friends were raving that it was delicious. it is a signature dish for reunion kitchen and bar. Ribs were very good but I have really high standards as I have had ribs from Austin TX and let's just say that's not a fair fight. Came here on a Sunday morning extremely hungover. I highly recommend not coming here hungover if you really want to enjoy the meal because it was all tasty but none of us could finish our meals or drinks LOL. The French toast was in these cute cubes, I felt needed more syrup and I'm sure I could've got some on the side. The breakfast burrito my friend said was tasty but the two salsas she got on the side and said one was VERY spicy. Our server was cute (wish I knew her name!) we asked for recommendations in the area for shopping and tide pool beaches and she gave great advice and even came back later with more advice. I loved this dish - the gravy was super creamy and flavorful and it paired so well with the chicken. The chicken had that nice crunch on the outside even though it was covered in sauce, and the meat inside was super tender. Reunion Benedict: 3/5 ($17.95) These poached eggs are served with short ribs on top of buttermilk biscuits. It also comes with a side of hash browns or fresh fruit. It was nice to try a different version of eggs benedict - the short rib meat was very soft & tender and the chipotle hollandaise sauce made the dish flavorful. The only downside was that the eggs were overcooked. Eggs benedict are always about that yolk porn, but, unfortunately, this one did not deliver on my visit :( read more

This restaurant offers Horrendous Customer Service and Subpar-to-Poor Quality Food. I waited and waited and waited for service at the front, just to pick up a pre-paid online food order, for which I arrived on time to the restaurant, when the mobile app indicated the food order was ready to pickup. The food was cold after I had to wait over 10 minutes just to pick up the pre-paid order, even though I arrived on time and I tried to flag down staff, only to be ignored repeatedly. Then, when a staff person finally came , she was very rude, dismissive and unapologetic for the very prolonged wait time. The wait staff did not offer to refire or reheat my stone-cold food order. After I received the burger I ordered, I found it was Over-Salted and Not Cooked to Meat Temperature Preference- I ordered my burger to be cooked Medium , but instead, I received a very Rare burger which I only discovered to my disdain, after I arrived home and cut into the burger, discovering essentially it was raw in the middle. I basically had to place the burger back on my home stove top and cook it more myself, in order to make the burger edible. In addition to the terrible service quality and poor food quality, this place also has relatively Excessive Pricing - nearly $30 for an undercooked, cold burger , while the french fries were burnt. There are plenty of other similar restaurants in Laguna Beach offering much better customer service and a higher quality American-style, bistro/cafe-type food at a similar price point, so I will use these other restaurants in the future. read more

There's ample outdoor seating that's socially distanced accordingly. The menu is filled with many American classics, which isn't too special but the portions are huge. Prices range from about $10-20, which is a bargain considering the portion sizing. I ordered the OC Sourdough Burger and it was delicious, it also came with fries. We always love coming to this place. The food is excellent. Their short rib is phenomenal. We also really like the bacon wrapped jalapeño app. If you are a fan of old fashions they make a great vanilla version. Also the outside seating is really nice if you want to catch the sunset or enjoy a breeze by the near beach. We did try the seasonal pumpkin butter cake.
