The staff is also very nice, I could tell they work hard on their customer service even when they are very busy. We sat outside since it was so nice out. A great experience here! The place is comfortable and pleasant. We had a reservation, and even though we were early, we were seated immediately. Our server was so helpful and took good care of us. The food came out quickly and perfectly prepared. We started with the Cheese Potato Cakes which were like crab cakes, but with made with potatoes...so good! The Turkey Pot Pie was beautifully made with a nice tall, crispy crust and filled with lots of fresh chunks of turkey and veggies. Rosemary's Chicken and Biscuits were amazing, with a perfectly fried, huge piece of chicken over delicious mashed potatoes with a big biscuit and plenty, but not too much sausage gravy. We took home the Butter Cake. It was well made but there was a very sweet topping that was a liitle too much for my tastes, but the main cake part was very good. Looking forward to another visit soon, so we can try more things. read more

I'd like to give a special shoutout to the service - the waitress and other servers really dealt with our group's bs. We had a big group because we were celebrating a birthday and two anniversaries, and we're all big drinking Indians lol. The drinks were good and not too watered down like most restaurants tend to do, and despite us going back and forth on how we were ordering, we were served correctly and in time! Mai tai was strong and tasty. I had the potato cheese appetizer which had good flavor and not too oily/salty which I appreciated. And the veggie burger was awesome!! I really don't like soy patties, so was pleased that this one had grains and good texture. and the CHOCOLATE CAKE w ice cream! we devoured that - nice and moist cake with frosting that wasn't too hard. I have been here a number of times and I must my experience has been excellent. The food has been consistently very good and the service is beyond reproach. Chelsea is the bartender that is helping me today ( I don't drink really but usually sit the bar) and she is awesome. You should definitely try this place! I really wanted to give this place another try... and again we were disappointed. We placed a food order to go because we just wanted to enjoy our food at home.. we ordered the jalapeño burger, kids cheeseburger, and the BLT. The jalapeño burger was a complete disappointment, there was no heat to it, not even a little. Let alone, I could barely find any jalapeños in there. It was also soaked in the aioli that the buns were squishy. Mind you, we got there right when the order was done and only live 2 minutes away. My sons burger was rare.... Not medium... rare. Had to cook it a little longer for him to eat it. The blt was great though! No complaints on that... Don't think we will be returning anymore... :-( read more

The Salmon Citrus Salad, Rosemary's Chicken & Biscuits, Turkey Pot Pie & Prime Rib Dip were good but not great. The Brussels Sprouts were a disappointment. First time here with some friends for dinner. Our wait staff was excellent and very informative. Had the ahi tuna salad which was good but the dressing in the salad didn't stand out too much. Brought my mom here for her 49th birthday- It was a great choice!  Loaded Deviled Eggs: I feel silly ordering these at restaurants because they're so simple, but the flavors all together were great and it was a fun starter.  Cheese Potato Cakes: A MUST HAVE! The first bite was shocking because it's so much more flavorful than the simple name would imply- Immediately after the first bite, everyone wanted another. Crunchy Chicken Sandwich: This was good, but with everything else on the menu, it's not something I would recommend nor choose again.  Roasted Beet & Candied Pecan Salad: Beet salads are my favorite and it was good, but just a little too expensive to really justify getting again.  Crispy Pancetta Pasta: Definitely recommend, it was creamy goodness and one of my favorite pastas from a non-Italian specific restaurant! Not as heavy as you might think.  Short Rib Stroganoff: Another definite recommendation, I knew when perusing the menu before we came that this is what my mom's bf was going to order and I was RIGHT. And I'm so glad he did because I got to try it and woweeee! The meat melts in the mouth.  Cheesy Shell Pasta: My brother (6) didn't really like it, and I think that's because it was more like a REAL pasta than Kraft. So, I enjoyed it later haha.  Crispy Fish & Chips: Didn't try it, but my 12 year old brother was pretty impressed. Butter Cake: Fatty, fatty goodness.  Burning Oranges: I love mezcal, and this had a lighter, fresher take with it that I appreciated! Most mezcal drinks taste so smokey and heavy, that this was refreshing to have. Lower Manhattan: Ok, so my bestie ordered this because the waitress recommended it- even though my friend's original choice was a Cucumber Breeze (basically the opposite of this drink). It's very strong and I presume it's good for people who like this type of liquor, which neither of us do haha.  Most of the dishes came with this crispy garlic bread that was just SO good!!! This place is a little pricey but the proportions are HUGE. I had leftovers later that night, and had more leftovers to take to work the next day.  The service is great, there are so many varying food choices that it's perfect to bring a large group because SOMETHING should please everyone here, there are so many options, but everything is high quality. The indoor dining feels a little cramped though, and it's not a place I would say is particularly intimate/romantic- it's loud. However, there is some outdoor seating and it's close to the beach, so maybe I'll try that next time. read more

As a paying customer, communication and service are BASIC . Sadly, that is not the standard at this location. After waiting 45 min for a simple appetizer...that was never placed... I was astonished by the curt, dismissive delivery, from the waiter and manager, when kindly checking in. I have never been spoken to in this respect and cannot begin to urge the owners to review the current bar staff and managent. Also, all other patrons, to think twice, before giving money to this location, much less any other location that hires such deplorable employees. Simply unsociable and ungracious ! read more

Found this place on yelp when looking for some good eats. They are very kid friendly, giving out etch a sketches to play with. They also have a kid menu that's really great. It's probably the first time I've ever thought the kid menu looked good. We ordered winner winner chicken dinner for the little one, the heirloom burrata, and the honey blonde fish and chips. For dessert the mini hot fudge sundae. My kid loved her crispy chicken, and though she doesn't like mashed potatoes, I tried them and they were very good. The heirloom burrata was good, and my fish and chips were very good. Some room for improvement: The fries on my fish and chips were just coming off Luke warm, which was off-putting. But the fish was excellent. Also, we ordered a mini hot fudge sundae. Sadly it was already melted substantially by the time it landed on our table. I was surprised. The fudge wasn't hot either. Very disappointing. Next time I'd just have dessert out. The place was busy for lunch around 1pm when we entered and died down around 215. Pleasant staff. We came here for a family dinner last night, and we all loved our meals. They happily sat us on the patio and turned on the heaters even though nobody else was eating outside. The service was lovely and so friendly. I had a glass of wine, and my sister had the vanilla old fashioned - generous and artfully crafted! My dad enjoyed his short rib sliders and commented that the horseradish was more mild and worked nicely with the dish. My mom said her chicken and biscuits was "absolutely perfect" and has no other comments and was incredibly pleased with the meal. The mashed potatoes and veggies I tried off her plate were bomb. The veggies were all fresh and steaming hot! My sister had the turkey pot pie - there were fresh veggies in it and the fresh pastry crust went all the way around in the ramekin. I had the veggie burger with warm potato salad - as a vegetarian I wish they would've told me the potato salad came with bacon bits on it, especially in ordering the veggie burger. Luckily my sister helped me out with that. I do wish there were a few more veggie options but the veggie burger was delicious. The handmade patty combined with the alfalfa sprouts and crunchy onions worked perfectly together! I'd happily come back here. Hi, I am a Coloradian visiting here in San Diego. My cousin and I went up to Laguna Beach to stay in the beach and have some down time. We chose this place for dinner as we we're staying at the Inn @ Laguna Beach. It was in walking distance and the menu was very appealing. For an appetizer we ordered the grilled artichoke it was FANTASTIC! It had such delicious flavor and it was grilled to perfection. My meal was a turkey club sandwich. It was huge and did not lack in its ingredients. Lots of turkey lots of bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Then to top it off we ordered the butter cake for dessert. OMG pure heaven. Tonight I had the petite prime rib, and for the price and the way it was prepared, I would go back just to have this dish again. My friend got the larger cut, wanting to take home leftovers for her dog, and it was a great size cut. My other friend had some vegetarian dish, but orders it all the time and was happy with her selection. My only complaint was the server did not bring out the dishes at the same time, it was almost embarrassing that I got mine first and didn't know if I should start eating. We had to call her over and ask where the rest of the dishes were. She responded like it was no big deal, they'll be out shortly. We had the windows open, we were a little bit warm where we were sitting, we asked if the air conditioning could be turned down a little. Originally we were not even going to go to this restaurant but it was walking distance from the hotel we were staying at so we decided to walk to it. I'm so glad we did! The beer was great, a nice smooth Pale Ale that went down nicely... My main review is for the Patty Melt. I can't believe how much I loved this, truly the best I have ever had! The Café Patty Melt was a dream, the parmesan grilled on rye bread was so tasty. Parking was simple, even on a Saturday. Only thing is they do not seem to be very gluten free "friendly". A lot of confusion over gluten free even though I checked in advance that they had some items.
