Reyna is a beautiful restaurant. It is relatively large inside and beautifully decorated. The seating was spacious and comfortable. The service was attentive and friendly. We had a reservation, and were able to be seated without the complete party which I appreciated. Our waiter explained to us to drinks that they were offering, and said it was possible for one person to do unlimited drinks, and not everyone in the party had to participate. None of us drank, but I appreciated the fact that not everyone had to participate in it. There was no coffee menu, but when we asked our waiter, he did tell us what was available. We all got a cappuccino, which came in cute small cups. There was only a small brunch menu available. I ordered the shakshuka and we also got fries for the table. The bread was soft and the eggs were perfectly runny. The flavor of the shakshuka was good, but I would have preferred if the texture was a bit thicker. The fries were not my favorite. They were shoestring fries, very thin, and stuck together. The portion size for the fries was also small for the price. The portion size for the shakshuka was okay. 5 stars for vibes and drinks 3 stars for food It seems like Reyna is still figuring things out, which makes sense as a newly opened restaurant. The service was VERY attentive throughout the meal and walked us through each part of the menu when we were ordering, then took a very long time to bring our check at the end. It seems they are fiddling with their menu quite a bit and still ironing out their items. The shoestring fries (we had Greek) were so thin and crispy they were more of a topping than a true side - while tasty! We also had the manchego and cauli croquettes, chicken and lamb meatballs, and broccolini. The croquettes were the standout (although I've never had a bad deep-fried ball of cheese), while the meatballs had completely lost their form and the brocc was good but unsurprising. As for drinks, we had King Arthur's Concubine and Please Sir, Some Meaux. Please Sir was definitely the more complex of the two, with Concubine being a standard sweet tooth satisfier - but Reyna certainly seems to have their cocktail list down! Not what you typically think of for Mediterranean. Dined at Reyna for restaurant week with a friend. I was able to secure a reservation in advance which i recommend since it was packed to the brim! I was coming from work and had a few bags but luckily I was able to check it in for coat check with the hostess! The interior is absolutely beautiful! The gold decal blue and pink velvet seating and over the top tree decor and feather ceiling lamps added to a luxury chic aesthetic. This is the perfect spot for a girls dinner! For appetizers we got the ceviche and mushroom and manchego croquettes. Both appetizers were delicious! The ceviche was fresh and the addition of the peppers gave it a nice kick. The croquettes was warm and creamy and I wish there was more than 2 on the plate! For drinks, my friend had a glass of wine and I opted for the mezcal smokeshow. It was just a faint smokiness and spice with a fruity taste probably from the pineapple and orange. We ended up waiting maybe 25-30 minutes for our entrees since the kitchen was so backed up. When it did arrive we had the octopus and Lebanese tacos in addition to the corn elote and Arabic fries. The octopus was cooked perfectly and I loved the romesco purée. The Lebanese tacos were really creamy and flavorful but I would have like some garlic aioli on the side as well. The fries were super thin and seasoned well but I might have liked them a little thicker so that it could be easier to eat but I still enjoyed them. The Spanish corn elote tasted a little too mayo like for me I would've liked more cheese/Chile powder flavoring to it. After entrees, we waited a good chunk of time for our desserts. For desserts we ordered the ice cream Sammie's and the ricotta fritters. Unfortunately they ran out of ice cream Sammie's so we ended up with two ricotta fritters which has a orange blossom curd. It tasted like a zesty zepole which works. The server was very hospitable and offered my friend and I a glass of champagne since we waited for a long time during our meal which we appreciated. Overall I really really do like Reyna, there are definitely some items I would come back for like the appetizers and octopus. The only main cons were the wait and that they ran out of dessert but the service did make up for that. read more
