The sitting is nice and clean, " you can't sit in if you ordered your order to go" It was a good portion of chicken and just a small container of rice. Today was my first ever visit to Rice Bowl. I've always been a Bill Lee's fan, but I was curious. I yelped it. I pored over the reviews and the pictures. I liked what I saw and I enlisted my foodie friend to join me. I decided to order the lemon chicken lunch combo with pan fried noodles. My friend got the Kung Pao beef lunch combo with crunchy noodles. Against my better judgement, we ordered fried shrimp and wontons without meat, too. Egg flower soup arrived first. It was bland, without much egg. The rest of the food arrived next. The fried wonton were served in a big pile. They looked so good! I was bummed that they were cold, but I enjoyed their crunchiness any way. The fried shrimp were very greasy. Not my favorite. My lemon chicken was good. The chicken was fried, sliced and covered with lemon sauce. There was a lot of it and unfortunately, the lemon sauce was everywhere and on everything. It was all too sweet! The Kung Pao beef was not spicy and had no peanuts...what's up with that?! Glad I finally got to try Rice Bowl. There are a few more items I'd like to try...maybe on a future visit. read more

This was honestly the worst service I've ever had. My family and I ordered food here and when we asked if it was possible to change our noodles out because we ordered the wrong ones by accident. They talked under there breath and kept trying to argue that we were wrong. I can say it is legit Cantonese! I come from Los Angeles and to find a place like this is far and few. But their beef chop suey is the best I've had in years! We were seating quickly, however they did not want to take our order until our whole party arrived (we were missing about 2-4 more people) after speaking to the host they allowed for us to start our orders while we waited. I was a bit disappointed that the fried rice had to come with the pork and you could not order it plain, so I had to order steam rice which I am not a big fan off. The spicy chicken was delicious and had a good amount of onion and bell peppers. The noodles had to many veggies for my taste but they had good flavor. This place use to be top notch. We have been going here for over 40 years. Have not had it in a bout a year since it's now only when we visit for holidays. Ordered tonight and picked it up only to throw away half our food because it was either burnt, or as an example; the hot and sour soup. Tasted like an entire glass of vinegar and nothing else. Even the bamboo shoots in it tasted like vinegar. Yes I know hot and sour soup has vinegar in it. But it doesnt taste like spoiled milk or a bottle of vinegar anywhere else. I've been coming here with my family since I could remember and honestly we have gotten the same great experience everytime we go. Today was no different My wife and I were craving Chinese food today and couldn't resist the urge to stop in here. They have a great lunch special which runs all week 11am to 3pm costs about $13 and give you rice, choice of chow mein style and an entree with spring roll. Our waitress was very hospitable and attentive. My wife went with her usual at any Chinese place orange chicken. I opted to try their General Tso chicken for the first time and honestly hate that I didn't try it sooner. The chicken from both plates was a wonderful blend of the respected sauce and crunch. The service is still excellent, most of the same servers have been there for decades and are excellent at remembering who you are and what you like! Don't be in a hurry, this is a dining experience. It's not slow per se, but they don't get in a rush about things either. The food quality is good, honestly I think it used to be a little better when I was a kid, but it's still one of my favorite spots to go.
