    Shrimp with candied pecans
    Kelly D.

When you enter, the sushi/bar is the first room. If you want sit down dining room, continue passed the bar and wait to be seated in a lovely room. Both Chinese and sushi are served in the dining room. I would have given 5 stars, but because my husband felt his dinners' flavor grew tiring after half way through. He ordered Chicken Phoenix which had vegetables, shrimp, chicken and cashews. Vegetables were al dente, flavor was good, but didn't hold interest through the entire meal. I ordered Shrimp with candied pecans which was made with a light mayo based sauce and uniquely delicious. The shrimp were HUGE and very tasty! We also ordered a shrimp tempura roll which was SO good, wanted more. Service was attentive when we needed anything. We've come here off and on over last 14 years and good to see quality has not declined, though we noticed less options on the menu compared to years ago and as with everywhere, price is more, but for quality dinner we don't mind.

The food was alright, there wasn't anything that really impressed, but it wasn't bad. The service was nice. The ambiance was modern.

    Phoenix chicken with jumbo shrimp

This is the best Asian cuisine on the East Coast of the United States. Usually jumbo shrimp loses its flavor, but the shrimp had the perfect texture and were totally savory. The cube steak I could cut with the side of my fork. No wings were absolutely delicious.

Sushi, smorgasbord, and shrimp the size of small lobsters

We have been going to the Rice House since it opened and it's always been good, but here recently it has been phenomenal Mr. B has definitely upped his game to another level! Egg rolls actually have shrimp in them and are made on site. Delicious! The Sushi presentation is mouthwatering. The house Wonton soup for two is the best I've ever had. I highly recommend the Rice House Bistro and we will be returning often

    Thai tofu

We had an excellent dinner. We started with the Tagarashi Edamame and loved the spice, Smokey and just the right amount of heat. I ordered the Thai Shrimp noodles and substituted fried tofu for the shrimp. The kitchen was very accommodating in my request. The dish was excellent, the broth was such a good Unami flavor and not too salty. My daughter got the vegetable noodle soup and the miso broth was great. Yum! We loved the music, early 90's-early 2000, and it was nice that it wasn't noisy and we could have a conversation at a normal tone...even though every table was seated! We will def be back.

Is this beef lomein or beef lomein curry ?
    Rose M.

What is this ? I ordered beef lomein why too much sauce on it looks like a lomein curry. Ordered fried rice nothing on it so plain just shrimp and rice only. Bought some sushi not so wow but prices are high as if they are a fancy restaurant who sells A1 food. When i ate their food it doesnt taste less than a cheap chinese carryout. Cost me $55 for shrimp fried rice beef lomein curry and 2 basic sushi rolls. Better go to asian garden its so close to the beach prices are reasonable loved their food.

The bao buns and variety were great. If there is a dish too spicy you can ask for it to be mild, I like options.

I've been eating here for 2 decades now. From when we vacationed at the grandparents place, to when we built our home down the road. I've been coming here for a long time and have eaten probably 50 meals or so from this place. Not 1 of them was bad or had an issue that bothered me. Maybe a greasy egg roll or two out of 100, but that happens on busy nights when the fryer is getting worked hard and can't hold temp or gets over crowded. It happens to all places. That being said, the egg rolls are really good! Tons of fresh veggies and usually fried to a perfect golden brown with very little residual grease left behind. The mixed combo platters are always very fresh and a good portion. From the chicken and mixed veggies, Gen tso, Hunan chicken, noodle dishes, it's all typically very good food. This place doesn't overly salt their food. They don't cover up things by adding MSG or sodium. Most dishes are simple and fresh, left for the consumer to add soy sauce as needed. I don't usually need anything unless a dab or two on my white rice when I choose that over my go to pork fried. This is fresh, quality ingredients done right.

We ordered hot and sour soup, crab Rangoon, Chicken Tiki Masala, and kung pao chicken. The bill was a whopping 85$!! And... we didn't like anything. I'm sorry to say the soup was the worst we ever had. I eat tiki masala all the time and this was not like any I've ever had - tasted more like butter chicken which I like as well but I wasn't a huge fan for this 27$ dish- almost double the cost than what I pay back home. My mom go king pao chicken with just the peanuts and celery. However we got a call from Door Dash that they didn't have any celery!! I mean... really...??? Celery is one of the mainstays of Chinese food! She went ahead and got it with broccoli but you could really tell the celery was missing... another 27 meal not eaten. We also got the crab Rangoon because that's a fav of ours but, sadly that wasn't all that great either. She prefers fried rice to steam for which in paid extra- she had a couple of bites and threw that away too... and since we've been not feeling very well... almost 100$ one the trash tonight- literally...

The meat had a funny taste/texture and the orange sauce on the chicken is so thick and nasty. The service was stale, the lady in the front had a impatient attitude and wasn't very helpful when it we asked questions but maybe bc of language barrier, overall I wouldn't go here even upon walking in the ambiance isn't welcoming in the slightest, the team just stares at you in silence when you come in hopefully they get it together but that was my experience :(

Unacceptable, and plus, it doesn't help when the kid up front just says it's not ready yet. Of course it's not ready yet. Now we just finished eating all the food. One word: Horrible. We ordered a lot: Kung pow chicken, General Tso's chicken, Mooshi pork, curry beef, beef lo mein, pepper beef, combo fried rice, orange chicken, beef broccoli. Everything was terrible. They had all the time in the world to make all of our dishes decent but they did not. The orange chicken and General Tso chicken were absolutely hard. It seemed like they use premade or pre-cut piece of chicken because they're all the same shape and the texture was hard as a rock. The curry beef was basically as if you just got the golden curry packs from an Asian store, but watered it down so much. The lo mein was very mushy and the only thing that was redeemable about it was the large amount of beef that they did put in. However, it's sad how the beef and broccoli and the pepper beef hardly had any beef. To top it off what made it worse was how the combination fried rice did not have any color. It was just a bland thing with barely any type of umami in it. Plus the rice just felt like it was regular hard-boiled rice instead of fluffy rice that was properly stir-fried. If you're traveling from out of town for vacation here and are craving Chinese food, this is not the place. You will not be getting good quality Chinese food. This is worse than even Panda Express and if you can get better, Chinese takeout at Panda Express than a local joint here, then what's the point of going to the local joint the first place.
