Came in for dinner for the first time and so glad we did! Husband had the prime rib and I had the chicken parmesan. Both were delicious and the service was just as good. Love that they gave us our own pitcher of soda! Will be back to try breakfast as well! read more

The food was ok. But the restaurant is not exciting inside -very dark -the fixture in the ceiling are dim. The bathroom was horrible! Bathrooms in restaurants can be a good indicator of their quality. They want your business but when the bath is missing a soap dispenser, dirty and smelly it's a real turn-off. read more

Love coming here every time! We live in Surprise and Richi's is one of our favorite places for breakfast! Fun atmosphere without being too loud and the food... delicious! I love coming here with my grandkids and they love their pancakes and waffles! My favorite is their skillet dishes! My husband loves their chicken fried steak! No matter how big our party has been we have had a 20 minute wait unless we were there first thing in the morning. But, no matter how long the wait is, it is so worth it! read more

Food has always been great. Burgers are good as are the onion rings and fried zucchini. I know they're frozen ones but at least they're cooked right. Portions seemed to have gotten slightly smaller due to some shrinkflation or maybe it was because the last time we showed up an hour or so before close. I have never given a one star review until now. Craved steak and eggs for breakfast. Seated right away in a booth setup. Black tape all over the spilts in the upholstery and the bench itself was falling apart. Waitress took our order right away. Attentive the whole time but not overly so. I really wanted hash browns but they are not on their menu, you get home fries regardless. Scrambled eggs were fine no issue. NY steak ordered medium and bordered on well done. It was tough as could be. I couldn't finish it. A couple of forks into eating the potatoes I found them very hard as in way undercooked. I couldn't eat them. And now, saving the best for last, the white toast was very good. Tipped per normal as the waitress was fine. read more

Been a couple times and just not too impressed. Food is ok, but service is lacking. It's never a place that I think of when I want to eat breakfast. The location is a bit off the street and behind a credit union. It's a smaller restaurant, but is clean and food typically comes out somewhat quick. I usually try to go a few times before I leave a review to see how things are because everyone can have off days. There's just nothing about this place that stands out for me. I brought my mom here for breakfast where we were greeted by a friendly hostess. Ordered the biscuits and gravy with eggs and a sides of delicious bacon and French toast. No complaints from us the gravy was flavorful. Our server Hollie was friendly, polite and patient with my elderly mother who can be a handful. We will certainly be adding Richi's to our rotation for breakfast. It was a little cool for patio seating but you can sit out there when it warms up.. read more

Recently went to Red Robin for a burger and sadly, RR has been on a downward spiral for a few years. So, in search of a good, juicy burger ... and I come across Richi's Diner! It's a diner, and feels like a diner. Good service provided a large cheeseburger with the most perfectly cooked bacon I have ever had in a restaurant. Steak fries for a side. I am definitely coming back to try some of their breakfast items. I love finding these places that just make good food. I am now leaving with a full, happy belly. read more

I took my two small children with me today (2 & 6) to grab brunch after church and we only waiting about 15 minutes on a Sunday and during our short wait not only were other people who were waiting to be seated extremely friendly but we got to meet the owner and he sat us at our table and made us feel like family. Our server was slammed but she was so nice and didn't make us feel rushed. Our food came out hot and delicious and the portions are very generous. We will absolutely be back. Went here a few years ago. Thought the food was decent. Was back in the area this morning and wanted breakfast. Found this place on yelp and remembered eating here. I went in, got a seat, and proceeded to watch two different waitresses pass me by 5 times without even acknowledging my existence or the fact I didn't have a menu. So I got up and left. My husband and I stopped in here on a Saturday night for a quick bite. The place was busy with every table full. This is the second time we've come here, when we are on this side of town. First time it was under renovations, but we enjoyed it so stopped by today. The renovations are done so it looks nicer. Very friendly staff, food came out really quick. Staff were all wearing masks, and were cleaning often. I got the corned beef breakfast, with pancakes. I like the way they do the corned beef here. Mmm... I'm writing this review while I'm still sitting here. We were greeted and sat right away, by a super nice hostess who also immediately brought us coffee. Then our server came over and asked if we were ready, we weren't, so she left. But we didn't see her again for 12 minutes. In that time another table nearby was looking for her. I heard the man say "Where does she keep running off to?" Apparently they'd forgotten his toast. So we finally order and I ask for the Denver Sandwich, no onion, sub pepperjack. My hubby gets the meat lovers skillet. The food comes out and I immediately notice the cheddar cheese. My sandwich is dry (I thought maybe it'd be buttered at the least) and there are onions. I pick out the cheese (or as much as I can) and move around the onions. As you can see I only ate half the sandwich, which was basically an omelette inside of toast. The potatoes were bland, no seasoning at all, which was an easy fix with salt, pepper and mustard for me. Also, the bottom of my sandwich was soggy, so I know it sat for a while. I guess I was also confused when the side says "homestyle fries", I'm assuming it's french fries I guess. Whatever. I didn't see much of our server and right as soon as we started eating, she dropped the check. Thought that was weird and felt a little rushed. I don't live in Phoenix but I do come down for baseball, and I definitely won't be returning. I'm glad I didn't finish it all! Now I can find something better nearby. read more

Dropped in for lunch this week with a friend and it was very good. We were seated right away and server was friendly. Let me start by saying our wait person was super nice!!! Here's the catch though...I was so excited to get their peanut butter and jelly hamburger but they were out of peanut butter. My backup was the chicken gyro but they don't have sriracha (common with Mediterranean food btw). My backup to my backup was the BLT and they were out of wheat bread. The seats are torn and cracked which are pretty annoying to sit on especially in shorts (Summer in AZ). This place has potential but really needs to step it up. read more

We always look for a good fish fry- this is by far the best we have found in Surprise. The fish is light and not at all greasy. The staff is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Aaron was our server and we feel like we made a new friend. Our new spot for sure! read more

Food is eh, not even like diner food that's kinda trashy but still you eat it and crave it on those hungover days. This place is just eh. It's bland food, it takes forever for them to cook it and god forbid you ask for something like extra crispy hashbrowns...they lose their ever loving mind and it takes a fortnight to finally get your order...that is somehow cold. The staff and owners are rude and it's just overall a place to avoid. You are better off going to Dennys or IHOP. I will give them props on whoever decorated, it's really nice. read more

We are crossing this restaurant off our list. Many of the tables had dirty dishes and trash not yet picked up and both restrooms were not kept up. The floors are sticky and our table must have been wiped off with an old dirty rag. The waitress Denisa was very nice and my gyro was not bad but certainly not a great Greek Gyro. read more

Was in for breakfast this past week. Hardly none in there. This place used to always be packed. Raised prices on new menu. Eggs were very small, I ordered over easy, and they were hard, and they did not offer home fries anymore. Looked like McDonalds hash browns were served. And to top off a $12.00 breakfast, they only served one slice of toast. Our server was not very nice. They just lost 6 great customers. read more

tried this diner for the first time. ordered a cheeseburger and it came dry, with no cheese, mayonnaise with fries that needed a lot of salt. my wife ordered a chicken quesadilla. Came with no salsa or anything. too dry. asked the waitress for salsa and she responded " we don't have salsa. when it came to paying for lunch, they just dropped the bill on the table. upon reviewing the bill, it showed total cost including tax. the amount was correct until I looked at the total amount for cash and another amount for credit Which was quite higher.there was no mention of this requirement anywhere on the menu or in the restaurant. very poor customer service and neither meal was even close to acceptable. Stay away from this restaurant and go anywhere else that really wants youir business. read more

Just got the chef salad to day, i dont know if the chef could sliced the cheese or the ham and turkey any thinner. Could not tell them about because my husband brought it home to me. Pita bread hard, dressing thin. I really loved salads from richis, thats why my husband brought one home. Very expensive to take little meat and cheese off and feed the rest to my worms in the garden. At the very least you could of made the pita bread better, at least i could of enjoyed that.
