Rite-Aid did things slightly differently than its two larger competitors, Walgreens and CVS. The store was larger, with wide aisles. It was made it easy to navigate and then of course, was the inside ice cream area Swifty. Never understood why it wasn't more popular. I've gotten to know most of the employees, over the last four years of living nearby. They were great. No exaggeration. Friendly and sweet. So in two days, it will all come to an end. The RITE Choice! I really like this Rite Aid as it's modern, squeaky clean and the staff are pretty helpful. My 55+ Dad had a moment with the self-checkout and the gentleman at the counter was patient and happy to help! The self-checkout scanners are convenient, a little odd, but convenient. I've gotten Thrifty Ice Cream at this location and it's always a good texture, it doesn't immediately melt! It's good quality ice cream. There's a large over-the-counter section, a GNC vitamin area, and many food items. I also found a lot of make-up/cosmetic stuff. They have a little bit for everyone here. Parking is always available, this Rite Aid is near several neighborhoods. read more

I went to pick up a prescription at the pharmacy and there was absolutely no coordination. There was a line at the pharmacy checkout and there was nobody even acknowledging the customers, while you had 4-5 employees behind the counter. Once we were acknowledged we were treated rudely with no respect. Moving forward I'll drive further to pick up my prescriptions. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. This pharmacy has the slowest service I've ever experienced. I've been waiting for what feels like an eternity just to get my prescription filled. I don't come here often, but when I do it's always clean and the employees are always nice and helpful. Went in today to get a flu shot. Wasn't sure if I had a copay since my insurance changed over the last year. Anthony (I think that was his name..) at the pharmacy who checked me in looked me up in the computer. Found me and said I didn't have a copay so yay! I filled out a sheet, and waited to be called. Not long after that, a lady called me to the back room to administer the shot. She was quick and friendly. I barely felt the stick. Before I knew it, I had a band aid on my arm and was on my way. Love that I was able to just walk in without an appointment on a weekday afternoon and get it done. All in all it took maybe 15 minutes from check in to walking out. Beats going to the doctor's office any day. I'll be coming here annually for the flu shot as long as they continue to accept my insurance. This is an update. It has been a few years since I reviewed my home town pharmacy. The best pharmacist I ever had has left. His name was Chris and he was excellent. Another couple issues have arose as of late. They seem to put all my meds on auto refill when I did not request this. Had to call in to have this corrected. I also go here for booster shots, and have noticed the waiting area is not being well kept. The chairs are dirty with stains. These are black chairs with dirty stains all over them. The floor needs sweeping. Sad to see this nice area go down hill. It was always so clean and tidy. The other issue is the drive up window. Staff is very slow to react to cars parked here waiting for pick up. Hope things improve so I can continue to go here. read more

I can't say enough positive things about the Pharmacy at this Rite Aid. Every single staff member has always taken excellent care of me of me here. The pharmacy manager Chris is beyond excellent, you will never find a better pharmacy manager! Chris & Suzanne are top notch Pharmacist's, both in pharmacy & customer service! Hardly answer the phone when called. The phone just kept ringing. I had to hang up and redial several times. When someone finally picked up the phone, she rushed to hang up on you before I could ask a 2nd question. Poor customer service, go to CVS in the next plaza instead. read more

Overall, a pretty nice Rite-Aid. Open, clean layout, and generally nice people working here. Their selection is good (for a pharmacy), and they have Thrifty Ice Cream! That's really the gem for this place. Seriously, who doesn't love Thrifty Ice Cream?! Definitely great for a quick stop-in, although I'm feeling like that'll be less frequent, now that the new Stater Bros. is open. Austin and the female pharmacist that worked last night (April 6th) were incredible! 1st of all I usually go to cvs to get my prescriptions but they didnt have one on hand that was needed right away. Austin was super helpful on getting the prescription transferred to riteaid. Then when I came in to pick it up they tried all sorts of ways to save me the most possible money on the prescription which is normally a 400 dollar cost. I'm very thankful to have had their help and will continue to use riteaid as our pharmacy from now on! Thank you!! read more

It is a Rite Aid so keep that in mind. Hard to be a 5 star when you are a mass market corner drug store. Gave them 5 stars mainly because of the nostalgia of getting thrifty's ice cream when I was a kid! The staff is friendly and helpful especially at the ice cream counter. It is a bit expensive but you can save that extra buck or two if you walk back to their freezer section and just pick up their pre-packed ice cream. I especially enjoy the layout being wide open as you walk in. The gift cards facing the ice cream counter give you something fun to read while you are waiting your turn to stare through the glass at the assortment of ice cream. They pharmacy prices are a bit higher on a lot of prescriptions than CVS or Target, but cheaper on other so if you are looking to save some money for ice cream you should call around. They prices for most of the other items in the store are typical, but you can find the random deal or two. Have fun and enjoy the ice cream :) read more

If you are in any type of hurry avoid this place like the plague. They definitely don't know what a convenience store means. Every time I go in this place they do not have enough cashiers or the only cashier they have working is handing out ice cream on the Thrifty side of the store and you wait in line for what seems to be an endless amount of time. This Rite Aid sold me the wrong medicine to the tune of $95. Then they made sure I was not to get my money back. How do you argue against their unsavory actions when they say once the medicine leaves the window is un returnable. I went in good faith to pick up much needed pain medication for my sister, who today had same day surgery for a painful UTI condition. As I arrived to the drive up window I mentioned that I was picking pain medication prescribed this day by her doctor, to help her ease the post surgery pain. She handed me this box costing $95, and even mentioned how steep was the price. I realized too late that one must have their guard up, and probably refused to pay what was handed, but I thought it was the correct prescription. At the end of the day had to bow my head, for how can I antagonize the very source that serves the medications, might cause long waits, dislike glances on their part, definitely a conflict I have to avoid. read more

Don't keep a straight face when a customer is saying hello and don't talk over your customer to other employees while you're supposed to be engaging this your customers. If you really need to interact with another employee, excuse yourself and apologize to your customer. You are in a service environment, if you hate your job then find a new one. Went there last night to get a late night scoop of ice cream. I got the chocolate chip cookie dough and it tasted like coffee which I am not a fan of. When I received the ice cream it was only maybe half of a scoop so not satisfied. The line was long with only one worker, another worker soon came. This rite aid is on my way home from worK, which I was excited about, but everytime I have stopped in there to buy a quart of my favorite ice cream, Chocolate Malted Crunch, they are out. I have suggested to the counter people that they talk to their manager about ordering more of that particular flavor but it falls on deaf ears. Even when the ice cream sales are on that is the flavor that runs out the quickest. I do not have a problem changing my route going home from work so I can stop at a store that has plenty in stock. LOL I just thought with a bigger store they would be able to accommodate a higher volume ice cream flavor. read more
