    Margarita with a view!
    Kent I.

An amazing place to beat the heat, grab an amazing margarita and enjoy views of the beach.

It doesn't get much better than Ritmo's! The staff there is fantastic! They're very attentive and the place is very clean. We spent 3 or 4 full days at Ritmo's and we'll definitely be back next year! Also, I love that there are places where people can live their lives without being inhibited to be themselves. As an old CIS/Het man, I felt completely welcome, and my wife and I enjoyed chitchat with the rest of the visitors. Loved it!

This place is a casual hang out that also does it right. I come here often on lazy beach vacation days to people watch, have table service drinks, walk the beach and watch the sunset. My last Puerto Vallarta trip I did not have a pool or beach at my hotel, and this makes for a great alternative. You can typically always find a chair and a service within minutes. There is no cover charge, just expected to eat and drink. Feels safe here too and nice restrooms.

Another year, another update. FOOD: Shrimp & Avocado Salad - $8.00 After seeing a friend eating this, I had to get it as it looked so good. For just $8, I got fresh green leaf lettuce tossed in a balsamic vinegar dressing, topped with diced fresh tomatoes, eight peeled & crunchy shrimp, sliced red onions (which I removed) and crunchy crostini's. Highly recommended! SERVICE: This is still hit or miss but not a huge deal. The guys do work hard in the heat and treading over sand while in sneakers all day long. OVERALL: Always a repeat for us.

Casual gay beach club. Chair rental and umbrella is free with drinks if food. Bring your own towel. Food is average. Drink prices are good. Service is good and honest. You can go swim in the ocean without worry of theft. No pool onsite. They play dance music. If you want a more upscale experience with a pool go to Mantamar.

Great food and great service. My favorites are the vegetarian sandwich and the Ritmos salad. Smoothies are great (N/A or A).

I sort of have a love-hate relationship with "Green Chairs" - on one hand, the location is fantastic, the drinks are strong and inexpensive, the weather is perfect, and the food is certainly passable (especially after four margaritas). On the other hand, the service can be very spotty, during crowded times your view may just be a bunch of loud drunk tourists between you and the water, you're constantly harassed by vendors (Weed? Blow?), and there are definitely speakers blasting Shakira from the south, Enrique Iglesias from the north, and traditional Mexican folk music from the east. All at the same time. Which can be really grating. Caveat emptor.

I honestly could have ordered two. The house-made ricotta was creamy, the tomatoes were fresh and sweet, and the aged balsamic brought everything together perfectly. For my main, I had the Asian noodle salad with grilled shrimp. It was refreshing, light, and full of flavor without feeling heavy. The grapefruit added a bright citrus note, and while I initially thought the candied pecans would be an odd pairing, they worked surprisingly well. My only suggestion would be to remove the shrimp tails to make the dish a little easier to enjoy. I finished with the mango-strawberry almond parfait, which was the perfect ending to the meal. It was light, refreshing, and not overly sweet, making it a great dessert after two flavorful courses. The service throughout the meal was warm and welcoming. I'm still working on my Spanish, and everyone was patient and encouraging, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Located just a short walk from our Airbnb, it's perfectly placed for a relaxed dinner after a day of exploring. The room on the second floor was air-conditioned -- a godsend in June's heat -- and made the whole experience far more comfortable. The setting feels casual but thoughtfully executed, with attentive service that never felt intrusive. Drinks: the Tamarind Margarita is a must-order. Tangy, balanced, and truly memorable -- one of the best cocktails we tried during our stay. Food: outstanding. The Tuna Chicharrón taco was superb -- honestly the best taco we had in two days in PV. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The Shrimp Ceviche tostadas were equally excellent: fresh, bright, and well composed. Service: Jesús was a standout. Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable -- he made solid recommendations and kept the evening running smoothly. If you're nearby, do not miss this spot. Great food, fantastic cocktails, and comfortable indoor seating with AC make Tuna Azul an easy top pick in Puerto Vallarta.

One of their most iconic dishes was El Kraken, a whole small octopus, grilled and served with potatoes and tzatziki. From the taco menu, the Tres con Todo were three "tuna al pastor" tacos made of cubes of tuna with pineapple, sprouts, radish, and creamy avocado on two fried tacos--creative, but nothing too outstanding flavorwise. We continued with the Pal'Mito salad, made of hearts of palm, sundried tomatoes, avocado, spinach, bacon, and seared tuna. The Churrasco de Salmon was a perfectly tender salmon filet topped with a cream sauce and served with plantain puree and grilled corn on the cob. Finally, the Pesca del Dia was a fillet of snapper topped with mussels in pesto sauce and served over plantain puree--super tasty, though the pesto definitely overwhelmed any other flavors in this dish. Their ceviche was just ok. I've had better ceviches in Mexico. There were too much veggies in it in my opinions. If you are in the area, it is worth checking out! Come for their octopus!
