Service was very attentive. Clean simple store, lots of parking for a local street mall. Food was quite tasty especially the roast duck: not too salty. Bright and there are about 3 large tables and 3-4 small tables. If you like heavily flavored or msg place this place will not be for you. Randomly my plate has at least 4-5 pieces of almost no meat very bony pieces, except this everything was very good.

This was one of the best spot I've eaten in reno. And one of the best Peking duck I had. It was moist and the skin was crispy. We came back the next day and even ordered to go. The service was amazing. Will definitely come back when we're in town.

Quality/Quantity - Most, if not all, of my Yelp friends gave you 5 stars. So glad we finally made it here. Limited menu, done well. Today we tried the following, all of which were good. ¼ Roasted Duck - Meaty and good. I would have liked even more juice. 1/2 Peking Duck - Deboned, easy eating. Comes with crepes rather than buns, sauce, cucumber, and onion strips. So good and refreshing. Beef Stew Lo Mein - My wife loves beef stew, so she ate most of this. I think this dish could have used more noodles, especially considering the price. The people on both sides of our table recommend the Walnut shrimp appetizer; it did look good. Ambiance - Very small local restaurant. Only 6 tables, 3 tables for two and 3 tables for four. Plenty of mall parking. Open 6 days a week. See Yelp or my picture. Service - 6 stars. So professional. Love the communication; they asked for permission if she could do "XXX YYY ZZZ" before she helped us. Great communicator! And this was the first time she said she is in the food business. You are doing a great job, Clong (the name on my receipt). I actually thought she was the owner. Price - $66 + tip. As usual, we over ordered. Took half the food home for later eating. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success June of 2025; wishing you the best. I will bring some of my guests here that crave duck.

The duck is cooked perfectly and that is not an easy thing to do. So much flavor in both dishes and the app we had. The shredded duck, lo mein and bok choy and roasted duck are worth a try. The pan fried pot stickers (6) are stuffed full and incredible. You could make a nice meal of a couple of apps as they are large portions. Even for takeout, which we did, the server was helpful and attentive. Parking is available in the strip center or just around the corner of the building. Never cook duck at home visit Roasted Duck Noodles instead.

Wanted to celebrate the last few days of the Lunar New Year with a nice Chinese meal and actually had plans for lunch at another restaurant in one of the large casinos. However, they were short staffed so their loss was my and Roasted Duck Noodles gain. I love their roast duck. Not greasy and love the Asian spice. Egg noodle soup is reminiscent of my youth with my grandparents. The lovely server is always friendly and so sweet. Always remembers her guests. Walnut shrimp appetizer was so good. Large shrimp. Be back soon!

This place is fairly new, small, there's about 8 tables in the dining area. We arrived at about 6:15 pm on a Saturday. There is 1 server/waitress/host. She was working hard to seat guests, take orders, serve food and clean tables. She took a minute to get our order. We ordered 1/4 Cantonese style duck,1/2 Peking duck, mixed vegetables with oyster sauce, pot stickers,2 sides- walnut shrimp and BBQ pork slices,we wanted to try a little of everything. All was very good! I highly recommend this place if you need like to eat duck. Rice is sold separate with these dishes.

Ok, in some cases you just really want to give six stars! It's kind of like getting that Michelin extra star. We are so happy with our visit here. As a history, Peking duck is a dish I've enjoyed all over the world. From the Guangzhou District China, Hong Kong, Taipei, Bangkok, San Francisco Area to Chinatown in LA. Once having children, I was no longer able to travel to exotic places, so I pretty much stopped eating it. They were a few places here in Reno that attempted this dish, however, either the skin wasn't crispy enough, or it was roasted duck, and they said ' it's pretty much the same' which is something only a person that doesn't eat Peking Duck would say, lol. A couple of places here in Reno that serve roasted duck, started out strong and were quite delicious, however overtime suddenly we were being served three day old duck. Or ducks that have been kept in the freezer for one to two months and then thawed out. You can always tell when chicken or duck is day old (or older ) disappointment after disappointment, I just stopped getting duck at restaurants and would only prepare it at home for New Year's dinner. I follow enough people on yelp, I saw a great review of this restaurant and thought what the heck ... might as well give it a go. It was absolute perfection. What we ordered: 1/4 Cantonese roast duck 1/2 Peking duck Shrimp and walnut Barbecued pork Steamed vegetable with hoisin sauce Fried potstickers The restaurant was quite packed. But there is two tables available for two people. The waitress greeted us, as she was passing by told us to grab a table. She was busy. Very busy. I told the server right off we were going to order a lot of food . There were only two of us, but I really wanted to try a little bit of everything. After ordering the two ducks and the vegetables I told her I wanted to add on some barbecue pork and walnut shrimp. Jen informed me those are normally just extensions of those dishes when you want to add a little more, however, she would accommodate us and let us have two shrimp and walnut ($5) and add on pork. The Peking duck had perfectly crispy skin and the duck was juicy. The Cantonese duck was almost just as crispy and delicious. Everything was so delicious, and the waitress was super nice. We had to start boxing stuff as we were finishing just to make room for all the dishes on the tiny table. And what are the best features of the whole night? $78 for all of the food. That was just amazing. I think there's a total of 22 seats in the sparse but cute restaurant. As we were eating, a line started to form. Great price, perfect duck, the only thing I would change is add alcohol to the menu... and maybe increase the hours lol. Most days they close by 3 PM. I want my duck now! Hhhah

Popped into the SPCA Thrift Store, and noticed this little restaurant nearby. Dropped in hoping for something quick to take out, but thought given the name, I should probably order the duck! Ordered a half Peking Duck, and was a little tight on time, but the extremely professional, polite, and helpful cashier not only promised me it would it be 15-20 minutes, but then did it in a little over 10! Love when service overdelivers. Now, the duck... So, Chinese roast duck is often not a thing for the uninitiated. There are bones and fat under the crispy skin, and I would usually pick out the easiest pieces for newbies to eat. This is the first place I've been to that fully cleans up the duck meat, and not only was it super easy to eat, it was not greasy but beyond tender and full of flavor. They know how to cook and serve duck! Duck sauce, cucumbers, and pancakes (not baos, fyi) were also fresh and delicious. Duck skin wasn't super crispy, but that could be because of the drive home. Menu had a few things crossed off, and no sweets or desserts, but I will definitely have to come back and try the noodles.

I was looking for something other than the normal Casino food for my family and was excited to have found the Roasted Duck Noodles. We had the shredded roasted duck meat with scallion oil noodle and Peking Duck which came with pancakes, cucumber, and spring onion. The duck was tender, wasn't oily, not overly seasoned, and there were no bones making it one of the best ducks I've ever had! It was so good we ordered more. The parking was easy. There aren't that many tables so be ready to get the food to go. The employees were nice and checked on us frequently. There was upbeat music playing while we waited around 10 minutes for each dish.

We are back for our 2nd time. This restaurant is amazing and serves great food. Slightly small but very clean. I like that they clean the tables with disinfectant. The hostess/Server is so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I ordered the Wor Wonton and added egg noodles. My wife ordered Duck Rice. Both were delicious and are large portions. If you're looking for a great meal definitely put Roasted Duck Noodles in your plan

Wow, SOO awesome to finally have something like this in Reno, the moment I found out about it I had to go and try it. Seems like I'm late to the party but I fully agree with the other 5 star reviews. Not only is the lady working the place extremely friendly but the food is great. We started with the Siu Mai and the Walnut Shrimp. Siu Mai is fantastic, and the walnut shrimp was cooked perfectly, there isn't chili oil or black vinegar on the tables and we totally spaced asking if they had any, but not necessarily the food was great. We then went with the Shredded Duck Lo Mein with an add on of BBQ Pork. The Duck was flavorful, moist, and the skin was crispy as can be. This is a killer lunch spot, can't wait to come back. Not too much seating inside, but we got lucky and got to sit down and enjoy.

I cannot, in good conscience, leave a positive review for Roasted Duck Noodles. I initially planned to visit this highly rated spot based on its strong reviews. When I walked in, one table was nearly finished eating. The place looked clean and presentable. The manager stopped by to ask the one table how their food was, and the woman at the table visibly grimaced, shook her head, and said, "Not good." The response caught me off guard. The manager briefly said "sorry" and walked away without any visible concern. The body language of her husband and the untouched food left on the table gave me serious pause about ordering. Despite my better judgment, I decided to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, especially given the number of five-star reviews from Elite Yelpers. I ordered the wonton noodle soup as a test before committing to anything else. Unfortunately, the dish was disappointing. The noodles were overcooked and mushy, the bok choy was acceptable, and the wontons had thick, doughy skins with bland, underwhelming fillings. After only two bites, I knew I wouldn't be finishing the bowl--$16 instantly regretted. What stood out most was that the manager appeared to notice the nearly untouched bowl but never asked how the food was or attempted to address the issue. I quietly paid and left, feeling disappointed by both the food and the lack of care or follow-up.

The portions were generous with plenty of leftovers to pack up in takeout boxes for enjoying for another day. My favorite three were the ahi tuna, the black cod and the brilliant asian/french mash up of red Bean Creme Brulee. I also need to mention, I loved the lamb tenderloin. I am not a big lamb fan, but this New Zealand lamb was tender and non-gamey. The owners did an outstanding job of timing the dishes and engaging with our group while also taking care of other diners including non event patrons getting getting take-out and inhouse menu dining. The space is very small, but even with and almost full house, it didn't feel cramped. Even though Kwok's is right across the street from where I live, this restaurant would be at the top of my list of "I would drive out of my way to eat here"

To start, you can't go wrong with the enthusiastic welcome we always receive. Then quickly seated and wine poured. The 2026 CNY menu was fabulous, with some great surprises. The ahi tartare portion anywhere else would have been a shareable appetizer. But each person was served a large portion of delicious fresh ahi. Mmmm this course and a glass of wine could be dinner alone any other evening. The soft creamy rich egg custard was hidden under a thick seafood gravy. I really enjoyed this unique dish. The miso black cod is always flaky and delicious. And the crab fried rice it's nestled on also never disappoints. The rich New Zealand stir fried lamb and shiitake mushrooms over pea shoots was a fabulous hearty dish on this chilly March evening. The braised short ribs were so tender no knife was needed, they flaked apart with the fork. And the e mein noodles were perfectly al dente. The dinner wrapped up with a crème brûlée that only Kwok's could pull off - red bean. Creamy smooth. Not overwhelming. The perfect burnt sugar layer on top. The regular menu is just as delicious. Small inside seating area, so recommend always make a reservation. In the summer there's a fabulous patio area out front. Limited street parking.

What I didn't expect was the flavors of the dishes. Each one seemed to have an unusual sweetness that didn't feel typical for Taiwanese food. From the Mapo Tofu to the salted fish fried rice and even the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, they all had a noticeable sweetness to them. Maybe I'm a bit spoiled by the variety of Asian food options we have living in the San Francisco Bay Area, but the flavors here just didn't quite match what I usually expect from Chinese/Taiwanese

We started with an appetizer that was a bit dry and tasteless, then moved on to the main courses. I had the shrimp with the fried noodles. The best by far was his friends Szechuan Beef, which would probably have me come back just for that. The restaurant is in a cute little strip mall and the interior was quite cozy and attractive. In case you're not aware, though the name of this restaurant references a specific city in northern China and the menu has dishes from across the country, their specialty is the spicy and numbing cuisine of the Sichuan region. If you've never had this before, when you see dishes listed as spicy, they may be very different from what you're thinking. It's certainly can be a polarizing experience, with many loving this flavor and many not into it at all, but the broad menu makes this a great call for everyone. Now I love dining with others who are familiar because it lets you explore the menu through their eyes and enjoy selections made by others with taste diverse from yours. My friend picked several dishes I would've never noticed or ordered blindly this time, and I'm so happy about that. We enjoyed the cold Woodear or black fungus in chili oil, classic snow pea tips with garlic, as well as the quintessential Sichuan cumin lamb, but the other three dishes we had were 100% new to me. Those included Sichuan snails (unshelled in an oily spicy stir fry), scallops with garlic and vermicelli, and crispy spicy intestines. The snails were a win. These are small and somewhat chewy morsels that get wok fried with fried chili, chili oil, peppers and onions. The texture is similar to sautéed calamari, but a bit firmer, and the sauce coats everything with that signature numbing heat. The scallops were the big miss. This dish typically comes in the half shell with fresh scallops, but here they're using a lower quality scallop (likely frozen) and a lot of pre-minced garlic (like you'd find in a jar). It looks impressive but the scallops had absolutely not flavor and the texture was rubbery too. Skip this one for sure. The intestines were the surprise. I've had fried intestines and they crunch like a chip and have no distinct flavor that lets you know what you're eating. These were sliced on the bias and wok tossed until super crispy on the outside with a delicately chewy interior. The sauce really amplified the flavor and this all made for a great bite within the whole meal. All in all, this is a home run. If you haven't been, I urge you to check it out, as it's one of the best authentic Chinese restaurants around.

Unfortunately, the Dry Fried Beef Chow Fun lacked that signature smoky flavor, and the texture was closer to lo fun than traditional chow fun. The Gai Lan with Beef also lacked wok hei. The outer layer of the gai lan stems had been peeled away, so the stems lost the crisp texture that makes gai lan so enjoyable. The Vermicelli with Grilled Chicken was overly tender and quite salty. It seemed to be marinated so heavily that I couldn't really taste the natural flavor of the chicken. Overall, the restaurant offers generous portions, reasonable prices, and friendly service. I then had to fight to flag a waitress to ask for chili paste to get any heat in my entire dish. I like that there are veggies with it and the noodles have a good chew, but I've found zero dishes with anything near Thai spices here My partner got the pad thai, which was sickly sweet yet didn't taste like tamarind, fish sauce nor contain pickled veg. The wood ear in it was excellent, but I've never seen it in pad thai. The thai ice tea was good, maybe a bit heavy on sweetener. I don't understand the high ratings here, based pireh on food. Thai Chili has far better flavors, and is rated lower. The wait staff/food runners lacked politeness, and never checked if we enjoyed our food or needed anyone. Sans the person filling everyone's water, we were never checked on in any other capacity. The restaurant was a cacophony of noise and conversation, I had to lean across the booth to have any chance of hearing my companion. The noise level is overwhelming if you have sensory issues at all. The decor is pretty cool.

They have a great lunch special with plenty of options which is what I'm usually there for, but outside the lunch special I love the beef chow fun with black bean sauce. Tried the chow fun at other places in town but this is still my favorite by far. The potstickers are very good and packed with meat but a bit pricey. Overall a very strong recommendation, anyone easily recommend the lunch special for anyone's first visit. Also, honorable mention to the hot and sour soup. It's always great and I bought a ton of it to get me through a few days when I got a wisdom tooth taken out :v)

My wife knows how much I love Chinese food, so when she came across a TikTok review of Palais De…read moreJade, she asked if I had ever been. I hadn't, but I had definitely heard of it. We decided to make it our next date night spot. We went on a Friday around 5:30 and it wasn't very crowded yet. They asked if we preferred a table or a booth, and we went with a booth near the front. The restaurant itself is really nice, but I'll say the booth felt a little tight. Next time, we'll probably go with a table for a bit more space. The service was top notch. The staff was incredibly attentive, and our drinks were constantly refilled. Our glasses were never empty, which always stands out. About 15 minutes after we sat down, the place filled up fast. It seemed like most people coming in had reservations, so I'd definitely recommend making one if you're planning to go after 6 pm. We decided on the Shanghai Dinner. I ordered the sweet and sour pork, and my wife got the sweet and sour chicken. I was tempted by the cashew chicken and kung pao chicken, but we'll save those for next time. The appetizers were amazing. The meal comes with spring rolls, crab rangoon, paper wrapped chicken, and honey glazed BBQ spareribs. Everything was delicious. My wife loved the paper wrapped chicken, and for me, the ribs were the standout. They were tender with just the right hint of sweetness. Honestly, I could've eaten a full plate of just those and been happy. For sides, I had the egg flower soup, which was really flavorful, and my wife had the salad. She could not stop talking about how good the dressing was. Both the sweet and sour pork and chicken were great. The sauce had that perfect tangy, slightly sweet flavor. That said, next time we probably won't order the same sauce for both dishes. I think pairing something like sweet and sour with kung pao would give a better balance with a little heat to cut through the sweetness. Overall, this place is a winner. Great food, solid portions, and the price is very reasonable at about $33 per person for the Shanghai Dinner. My wife enjoyed everything so much that after seeing another table order the duck, she's already talking about coming back to try it. I've been trying to get her to try duck for a while, so I'm looking forward to that next visit. We'll definitely be back.
