Located inside Dis very Bay mini mall. Food is Vietnamese. Soup noodle Pho was good, all meats, broth, and veggies all in bowl. Banana rolls very good, crispy skin, soft banana inside. Beef stew good, comes with choice of rice, noodle or bread. Service was excellent, friendly and very attentive for what we need. Ambiance is similar to small eat and go cafe. Beware, 3% fee if using credit card. Overall 3.5 stars out of 5. Round up to 4 stars.

This is a nice, fast, and affordable lunch option. I ordered ahead through UberEats and our food was ready about 10 minutes later. I enjoyed my tofu curry.

The pho was perfect for warming me up after returning from a sunset sail. I love how there are many vegan options. The broth for the vegan was light and tasty. Along with tofu and the usual pho vegetables (basil, beans sprouts, onion), they included other vegetables like cauliflower and carrots. The tofu had a sour/tangy taste. We sat outside of the restaurant since I came with a group. Food came out quick after ordering. As for payment recommend cash.

Friendly staff, delicious food, and a few tables outside (covered) for those that want to enjoy the fresh air.

Very lovely place. It was quiet and not a lot of patrons inside so I think people are missing out on a little gem. I had the pork bánh xèo. Perfect in flavor down to the tender pork belly. The belly was sliced so thin there was no unlikeable fatty chew to it. Lots of fresh toppings for it: basil, bean sprouts, cucumbers, pickled daikon and carrots. The beef stew my husband had was so rich in flavor, both sweet and cravably savory. The beef tender and filling. The fried banana rolls were a good amount of sweet but because of how they're wrapped, can feel a bit greasy. I'd had loved to see it with some vanilla ice cream to take it over the top and break up some of the greasiness. Overall very good place to try.

I'm so glad we found this restaurant, it was across the street from the hotel we were staying. The waitress was very friendly. The food was so delicious, so fresh. The nuc mam sauce was done so well especially after I added the side table chilli oil- I was dipping everything in there, even the vegetables. Authentic Vietnamese Food! Also, side note, it's conveniently located nextdoor to The ABC Suprette store.

Unexpectedly stopped here with friends and found it to be a gem. Very simple and casual ambience with delicious food and friendly counter service. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and the prices were reasonable for the Waikiki area.

    Vietnamese Pancake

After browsing the late-night options in the area, I wanted something comforting and casual. After a fair amount of looking at the bahn mi and pho, I got the vietnamese pancake and a ginger lemonade. The pancake was crispy, light, and airy throughout, the pork was flavorful and cooked just the right amount, and the pickled vegetables and cucumbers cut through the richness and fat to make for a balanced and forkful that was sweet, sour, savory, crunchy, tender, just a super satisfying bite. Even after 15-20 minutes, it still retained some crunch on the bottom layer. The ginger lemonade I ordered with some reservation because I feel like more often than not this simple beverage is done really poorly and leaves an acrid aftertaste in the mouth. I could have easily drankanother, and third to go. As someone who has made lemonade from scratch, this is a really good one, and the addition of some soda water puts it over the top. When I showed up it was fairly late and there was only one other person eating there. The service was friendly and prompt. It was small inside like most restaurants below the 50 dollars a head line in waikiki, but it was very cozy and welcoming. It would be great place for a small group to have a nice relaxing and casual dinner. I hope to be back and try a few more options before I leave.

I love me some Vietnamese food but I was a little disappointed in the quality of the meals. Service was okay, attentive but mostly bringing the meal to you and letting you walk up to pay after. Very casual vibe. Kind of a small space. Parking was $6 for us, we only stayed for about 50 minutes . You can park at Discovery Bay. There's not a lot of spots so cross your fingers! Food wasn't the best. We love to support our Vietnamese businesses but this one was a rough one. We ordered a lot of items and they all fell short. -spring rolls (they fry it with the banana lumpias so the spring rolls have a banana taste to it. If you don't mind this then order it.) -Vietnamese crepe (not as much flavor as I thought it would have considering viet crepes usually have a turmeric taste) -manupua bao (it was ok but Chan wah kam has better ones. I would say this one is very health conscious and made in that manner) -vermicelli and tofu (tofu had minimal flavor to it, was tough because they are generous with their quantities) I wouldn't really go out of my way, especially all the way out to Waikiki to eat here again. But they are kind and try their best. It just really wasn't my vibe.

The food is amazing, but the service is even better. The owners are amazing Cindy and Bobby I really enjoy their company and their whole families here and it just feels like I've been in the heart of the city upon Honolulu by the way the shrimp PHO is so good

I was a little late getting here. The sign on the door said that they close at 9pm. I got here around 9:10pm and the cashier at the door said that they were still open. Since it was so late I just needed a little snack. I got an order of the crispy banana rolls $7 and a tapioca pudding $6. The crispy banana rolls came with three pieces. The tapioca was really thick. It was one of the thickest that I've had in my life. The hubby really liked it though. He likes his tapioca thick. I prefer mine on the thinner side. The service was swift and smooth. The cashier was really sweet. There will be a 3% fee if you use your charge card.

Very friendly service, the pork vermicelli I ordered was also good. The atmosphere was run down strip mall esque. But the food makes up for it!

I never dined in here, but I did order delivery twice in less than a week through doordash. Both…read moretimes the food came nicely packed, well organized, and hot. The first time I've ordered almost a week ago was the pork hash, garlic green beans, mabo tofu with noodles, rice noodle and dumplings, and a pork belly dish with rice (can't remember the name). My favorite has to be the rice noodle cake with dumplings. It had peanut sauce and even reheating it on the stove made it satisfying to eat as leftovers. Each dish had between 6-8 pork and shrimp dumplings. The portions are generous which is enough for two meals. The pork hash came in 3s with the hot mustard and shoyu. Again these were good as well and not as oily and greasy. The pork belly was stringy and the rice was meh. It tries way too hard to copy Tom Khem which is a Laos dish. My mom had the tofu dish and after a while she did mention that the noodles got mushy and had no flavor. Then again she had to take a blood test so she had to watch her salt intake. I also tried the tofu and it was soft and not overly salty. The second time I ordered which was today, I replaced the rice dish with the char siu noodle soup and it was so good. It was the right portion size and the hot broth that's separate from the contents help soften the noodles. I also ordered coconut pudding and even though I have yet to try it, my mom said it was really good so I'm looking forward to it. Edit: I have now tried the coconut pudding and it was a generous portion. A nice refreshing and cold treat especially since we are now in the summer season. There is just a hint of coconut flavor though and shredded coconut flakes don't exist but it's still worth eating as a dessert or a snack. On both orders, I've ordered garlic green beans and it was the best tasting garlicky green beans I have ever tried. Overall, this place does serve good food but I'll probably skip the rice dishes and focus more on the noodle dishes and their sides.

As for me, I mainly came to try their Minute Chicken Cake Noodles, and as a bonus......... I actually got a 20% discount thanks to my friend - Jennifer C. who let a Bruddah know about da DEALAGES in da Sunday food section newspaper, as they had a coupon! The Sunday morning when I came with my friend, I can clearly see that this restaurant was thriving, as every table in the restaurant was taken. Fun Station specializes in noodles, but if you're not into that, they do serve other items like - soups, vegetable dishes, rice plates, & porridge (jook). Upon looking over the menu, we ordered the following items - 1. Frrrrrrried Chicken Wings ($9.95) for an appetizer 2. Minute Chicken Cake Noodles ($17.95 - minus da 20% coupon DEALAGES) 3. Beef Brisket Tendon & Won Ton in soup ($18.95) What can I say about da grub??? Da chicken wings came out hot & crispy. Although they featured only "flats" vs. drums (I like drums), I must say da wings was nicely executed. As for the Minute Chicken Cake Noodles.........nicely plated on a fancy smanshy panda plate. The cake noodles weren't drowning in gravy, so the noodles stayed crispy on the dish. I really liked how they did this dish, and would easily come back here to eat it again. My friend had the Beef Brisket Tendon & Won Ton soup. The dish looked good, and there weren't any complaints, so I take it that it was pretty ono! Overall, a very satisfying meal and the service here was on point, as the staff was friendly & very efficient. Easy 5 stars for the Minute Chicken Cake Noodles! Chance 'em!

There was a couple in front of us who said they come here every time they visit Hawaiʻi and that it's a must-do stop on every trip. When you walk in, it's a small place. You can watch a team member washing the noodles and portioning them into bowls right in front of you. Then you choose your bowl size, small or large, and select your broth. After that, you get to choose from a variety of fried items and other à la carte options displayed on a warmer. Seating can be limited because of how busy this place gets. You line up to get your food, pay for it, grab your condiments, utensils, and a cup of water, then find a seat and enjoy. I've already been here twice, and after writing about my experience, I need to make a third visit happen very soon! There are not enough days off in a week to enjoy all of the amazing food on this island, but I'm going to do my best to experience as many places as I can. This place is totally worth the 45-minute commute from Wahiawa.

Ordered a 300g Jyukusei Pork Loin Katsu Set, Mix Katsu Set (Pork Tender Loin 1pc, Shrimp 1pc, Oyster 1pc, Chicken 1pc, Onion 1pc), Sizzling Plate Miso Sauce Pork Loin Set, n' a Lychee Shochu Cocktail. Everything came with all the works n' presentation was on point. It's been years since our last visit n' it did not disappoint!" SERVICE: friendly n' fully staffed INTERIOR: clean n' spacious, was able to fit our travel stroller, have high chairs available EXTERIOR: have an area to sit or stand under the shade WAIT TIME: I made reservations for 11am, the time that they open. We must've not heard them call out reservations bc we noticed they were bringing in people on the sign-in list first, that was posted on the outside podium. We then learned the list was for walk-ins so I informed the host we had reservations n' we were seated immediately. PARKING: metered street or paid garage OVERALL COMMENTS: they don't have a keiki menu but they do have sides or kids can share a meal. All the katsu had the most amazing crispy exterior, just like our past visits, n' isn't overly greasy. L.O.V.E. everything that comes with a meal, from the choice of rice, miso soup, shredded cabbage (I use the sesame dressing), pickles, sauces, etc. Very nicely n' neatly presented. The pork loin katsu could have been a lil' more juicy on the inside but it was still worth it. The sizzling miso is saucy n' we already knew that would take away from the crispiness, but it is a great value for the amount of pork loin n' has a good savory flavor. I always choose the mix set bc I like a lil' bit of everything. My favorite is the shrimp, so good. The pork tender loin is indeed tender. I like the addition of the onion to give variety. Oyster is great with the provided tartar sauce. The chicken was juicy. Delicious food n' a great dining experience each time!

The 4 of us shared the pork tenderloin katsu sandwich, jyukusei pork loin katsu set, the sizzling plate miso sauce pork loin set, and the chicken cheese katsu set. I liked how you can choose the type of rice and type of miso soup that comes with each set. I liked the standard rice and seaweed rice the most, and also the white miso soup with tofu & seaweed the most. The pork tenderloin katsu sandwich was pretty good, bread was toasted and there was a good amount of sauce with the katsu. Jyukusei pork loin katsu was good too. The sizzling plate miso sauce pork loin katsu set wasn't my favorite because I felt like the miso sauce made the breading soggy fast. We weren't the biggest fans of the chicken cheese katsu set either, the cheese was really intense and overpowering. I think the breading on the katsu could've been flakier overall and the meat could've been a bit juicier. Overall glad I got to visit.

I'm waffling somewhere between a 4 and a 5 for Moobongri's AYCE Korean BBQ experience. For the most…read morepart, their Korean BBQ experience is great. The meat is reasonably high quality, the banchan is generous (the last few times I went they even had poke as a banchan included with the meal), and the service is friendly. The "kimchee soup" is one of my favorite kimchee jjigaes on the island. Refills of meat flow generously out of the kitchen, unlike some other AYCE experiences where each subsequent order gets smaller and smaller until they finally cut you off because you've reached the time limit. I only have one gripe. While each table has a very powerful burner for grilling the meat, their universal approach is to prop up a tilted cast iron plate over the fire to grill on. It's propped at an angle so that the oil flows into a catch pan on the side. This usually means that the half of the plate tilted closer to the fire gets really hot, while the other half struggles to get hot enough and risks just boiling your meat. It also makes adjusting the fire a tricky process - if there's a lull between meats coming to your table, someone might come by and, understandably, turn down your flame. That's fine, but when the food does come out, it takes a long time to get the cast iron hot again. This doesn't stop me from coming back for more here, but just one thing I wish was better about an otherwise great experience. There is a parking lot out front but it is cramped and usually fills up. There is usually someone helping to guide parking, but when it's completely full there's only so much they can do. Street parking in the area can also be a little bit tricky.

This place makes their soondae in house as I can tell the difference with frozen soondae and non-frozen ones. Until I go to Korea to try the real thing, this is the best I can get. I definitely think they improved their recipe from the first time I tried it. The aunties here are still very nice but as always give grace because it does get busy here and one aunty would have to take care of multiple tables and party size as well. Overall I'll be coming here whenever I need my soondae fix!! If you haven't tried, definitely come and try! I still need to try the acye here with friends one day!
