The Family Affair roll was incredible. I enjoyed the rockets and it's cute seeing the sushi come out this way. The Nigiri was amazing and fresh. The only roll that was a bit disappointing was the Cherry Blossom roll. It was dry. I've had many cherry blossom rolls and this one ranked lowest. I found tartar sauce with the soft shell crab interesting. It was labeled as a special sauce. It does not seem like a good mix. I love soft shell crab appetizers and typically have had them with a lighter (less heavy) liquid on the side.

Very good quality sushi with the fun conveyer belt and tablet ordering. My 7 user old was very entertained and the adults were happy with the selection and taste. Will absolutely return again. Really huge and clean inside, which I didn't expect from outside.

Friendly service and staff, pretty quick if you're in a rush. Came for one omakase. Few bites really stood out, 1-2 less so. Decent spread overall and nice presentation. Lovely rocket touch and atmosphere. Overall fairly fresh fish.

We went here for a late lunch today! We ordered salmon sashimi and tuna sashimi and dragon roll, miso soups, and the lion king roll! Oh my goodness this sashimi was the most soft and tasty piece I ever had. It was so fresh! I was so hungry we didn't take any photos. Aah The food we ordered on the tablet menu and the order came to our table on a rocket ship revolver. It was so cute because the rocket design said nasa and it was shaped like a rocket. It was a fun experience as well! And ah definitely will come back. My only iffy is the booth seat had a weird friction to sweat pants. So when you're trying to enter and leave while scooting there is some trouble. So keep that in mind. Just for a pov with leg room.

Pretty good but not your typical rainbow roll. This had tempera in it and no crab meat.

Loved this place! A variety of Japanese food, prompt service, and great shtick with the rockets. It's always fun to add a moment of play ordering from a tablet and watching your food come down a rocket themed conveyer belt. The decor and spaciousness took me back to Japan for sure! A lil review of our order: Veggie caterpillar roll: Delicious, really fresh and hearty at the same time. Spicy edamame: pretty spicy oil, not too salty, a good start to the meal. Vegetarian Udon: super savory, light broth. Noodles were so chewy in the best way! Tempura roll: Pretty yummy, but maybe a little heavy/greasier. Gyozas (not pictured): perfectly fried, really good. We came in 30 minutes before closing and had 15 minutes to order, but all the food came out so fast, and the staff served us so many refills of food and tea. As two people, we spent about $80 all in, but it was a lovely experience. We were only 2, but the tables are definitely meant for larger parties!

Pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon, not sure if the sf marathon had anything to do with it. Looks super popular with delivery apps as they have a row of tables dedicated for togo orders. Really good service, super attentive whether you're looking for the restroom or need more water. Huge portions of fish on the nigiri and even on special the special rolls. Quality is expected and not the greatest but that's the trade off for portion size. Really fishy taste in my mouth afterwards was kinda gross lol.

SO GOOD! my second time here & this place is super consistent. first time trying the blossom roll & this place was very generous with the outside layer of tuna. very fresh & surprisingly filling even though we ordered only two rolls. rolls were both huge & the food came out quickly. water was refilled twice & the waiters very attentive throughout the service. good prices, large portions, & even better food. also entertaining to watch the sushi on a rocket launch towards your table at top speed! would highly recommend this place. all the seating is in large booths making for a comfy experience. solid spot for a date night!

There's a rocket that brings your sushi to you! You order on an iPad, but if you need any special accommodations, you can just tell the waitress and she'll let the chef know (I'm allergic to avocados, for instance). The interior is cute. I think the rocket adds a lot of novelty. There was no wait for 2 on a Sunday evening. We ordered 3 rolls, which was filling for us. If you order more than like, $50 or something, you get to order a glass of plum wine or sake for $1!

Decent sushi spot with a fun aspect that sets them apart from the others. The food is delivered on a speed belt. Its quick, fresh and tasty. I really loved the hand rolls but the more pricey roll fell a bit flat and tasted average at best. The service otherwise was great & attentive.

Sometimes sushi restaurants with fun themes/gimmicks fall short when it comes to food, but Rocket Sushi really delivered! The portion sizes were generous and ingredients tasted super fresh, and I love being able to continuously order more food on the iPad and have it delivered to the table via rocket. It doesn't get super busy because it seems like a lot of their business is takeout, but would really recommend going in person and having fun watching the rockets! Prices were reasonable too - I got 1 specialty roll, 1 maki, and shared edamame and ended up spending ~$40 after tax/tip.

Cool idea for server-less ordering and delivery. Food is decent but nothing to salavate over, value is ok. Restaurants clean. A convenient spot for a quick work lunch. They do alot of takeout orders.

Brought my family here on a Thursday night. My daughter has been wanting to try a Conveyor belt sushi spot, although this wasn't necessarily a conveyor belt it was cool how your food was delivered. We were sat immediately, no wait at all. It was very convenient being able to order food on the screen system at the table. They had staff there to answer a questions we had about the food. Was a nice little place to grab some sushi with family or friends. Everything we ordered came out fresh and tasted great! Will definitely come back of I'm in the area again!

Once we got closer to the front, the host came by to hand us menus so we knew what to order as soon as we were seated. The restaurant is pretty small so the dining experience feels a little hectic. If you're looking for a calm, relaxing place to eat, I wouldn't say this is the place. It's sort of an "in and out" situation. I ordered the spicy G.K.O. So so delicious. The flavors really jump out at you. The broth is so cozy and smooth. The portion was decent and the ingredients felt proportional. My boyfriend ordered the vegan Miso. My only real complaint was the seating arrangement. My wife and I were seated at a shared counter-style table that was divided by a glass partition. While the partition provided some separation, I could still clearly see the people sitting directly across from us, along with all the eating noises and conversations. I personally prefer a little more privacy while dining, so that took away from the experience. I won't comment on the wait time because that's pretty normal for popular restaurants in San Francisco. The highlight of the meal was definitely the A5 Wagyu Ramen. It was absolutely delicious and worth ordering. The flavors were amazing, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting. Overall, the food was outstanding, and despite the seating arrangement, I would gladly return.

I decided to stick my regular order of the Umami Tonkatsu Dashi ramen with a pork cutlet , shittake, egg, and corn. The noodles were soft and had a descent pull to them and they were slurpable. The wait for a table was 20 mins or we can share a large table with random people and be seated immediately. We were hungry. We went with the large shared table. Pleasantly, there was more than enough room. There were at least 1-2 seats in between the three groups on each side that were there- a solo diner, a small family of 3, and my group of 4. I ordered the Karaka Spicy, my bf ordered Akamaru Modern, his sister ordered Miso, and I don't remember what her friend got- I think it was also Karaka spicy. My bf and I ordered the Treasure plate on the side to share and a side of spicy paste because I know Japanese spicy is barely spicy (from someone who grew up eating SEA spicy). Karaka Spicy had a nicely balance tonkotsu mouth feel and pork flavor. Broth was a little salty. I was correct to assume that it wasn't spicy because I used half of the side of spicy paste and I still didn't think it was spicy enough. Chashu was cooked fine. Notes: - I wished I would've asked if they could swap the thin noodles for the thick ones. I love the chew thicker noodles provide. - Noodles were cooked al dente. Akamaru Modern tasted very similar to Karaka spicy without the spicy. My bf used the other half of the spicy paste as dip for his toppings. He enjoyed it. Miso was a lighter broth (obvi) with a good umami flavor and was not watered down. Solid. She loved it. I have never seen her finish a whole bowl of ramen before. There was a server in training that took our order with the help of the trainer- he did great. Staff was attentive with our waters. Bussers were also quick to notice and remove empty plates and bowls regularly making for an easy clean up after we leave and kept the shared table clutter free. Interior was modern, but casual. They had an expansive menu with vegetarian choices, sushi, buns, karage, etc. and a surprisingly large array of alcohol. I would def like to be back to try some drinks.

The ramen is served in large bowls, which looks impressive at first, but the actual portion of noodles and toppings felt underwhelming for the price. At that price point, I expected more both in quantity and flavor. We ordered the Dragon Tantan ramen, which the menu describes as spicy. It wasn't spicy at all. We asked our waiter if we could have a little more heat, and he nodded and brought over a tiny dipping-bowl-sized portion of some red paste with no explanation. There was no mention that it would cost extra. After finishing our meal, we were surprised to see a $5 charge on the bill for the "extra spice." We genuinely thought it was complimentary, and if it wasn't, that absolutely should have been communicated before serving it. The lack of transparency was disappointing and unnecessary. Overall: mid food, mid service, and not worth the price -- especially during such an exciting weekend in the city. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

I am a practicing Buddhist and have meditated at various different temple organizations and I enjoy temple cooking as its usually lighter but still very soul nourishing. The broth is lighter and its a vegan dashi broth and comes with zest of yuzu (its like a Japanese lemon), bamboo shoots, crispy kale and sweet fried tofu. I enjoyed this bowl of noodles with soup and the broth was hot, so it warmed me up. I was not really a fan of the inari (sweet fried tofu) as it was just too sweet for me. Service was a little slow towards the end as I was itching to pay and go for an evening stroll, but otherwise, a good experience. I'd come back again when nearby.
