Conveyor belt sushi--but with a twist: your order shoots out on a little rocket! I had to check it out, and it was such a fun experience. You seat yourself wherever you like and order everything on an iPad at your table, except for drinks. The service was a bit lukewarm--I sometimes felt like I was inconveniencing the staff when they came by--but honestly, you barely interact with them anyway. It's mostly just you and the rocket system doing its thing. I ordered miso soup, unagi, toro, and a spicy tuna hand roll. Everything was fresh with high-quality cuts, especially the toro. I also got a Shirley Temple, which came with the most perfect fresh cherry--something a lot of places surprisingly skip. Came here to get some sushi as a late lunch. I ordered a coupon of nigiri and a special plate. Firstly, the sushi comes in delivery belt they call Rocket (see photo). I also ordered a soda. Overall, I thought the sushi was fresh. There was no fishy taste. The slices of fish were thick. The sushi is quite delicious here. It always taste fresh to me when I come here. I've been here quite a few times alone and with friends. It's very spacious inside the restaurant. The staff working are very polite and kind. You're usually seated right away and asked what you would like to drink. I know they do a special for $1 sale with a minimum purchase requirement. The sushi is well priced and including the special rolls. You order from a tablet and it comes out on a little rocket near the wall. So fun! Had a good dinner experience here. I made a reservation for Friday night at 7 PM, but it was totally not needed, the restaurant was only half full when we arrived. Servers were all very nice and the ordering process on the touchpad was easy. Food comes out pretty quickly too Fish quality is just average. My hamachi sashimi was cut super super thick so you definitely get a good amount of fish, but not sure if that's a traditional way to cut it. Salmon skin hand roll was nice with really crispy bits of salmon skin and not too much rice, which is a problem I always have with hand rolls Other specialty rolls were all tasty. My favorite sushi spot in the Bay Area! Quality and portion size have not changed since I moved to Seattle three years ago. I recently visited and the nigiri cuts are still as massive as ever. Ordering is seamless and there is no wait staff involved. You order through a tablet and the food is delivered via a rocket from the kitchen. Prices are steep compared to other restaurants, but for the amount of thick fish cuts that you are getting it is worth the price. Salmon toro and otoro were my favorite. The Family Affair roll was incredible. I enjoyed the rockets and it's cute seeing the sushi come out this way. The Nigiri was amazing and fresh. The only roll that was a bit disappointing was the Cherry Blossom roll. It was dry. I've had many cherry blossom rolls and this one ranked lowest. I found tartar sauce with the soft shell crab interesting. It was labeled as a special sauce. It does not seem like a good mix. I love soft shell crab appetizers and typically have had them with a lighter (less heavy) liquid on the side. read more

We went here for a late lunch today! We ordered salmon sashimi and tuna sashimi and dragon roll, miso soups, and the lion king roll! Oh my goodness this sashimi was the most soft and tasty piece I ever had. It was so fresh! I was so hungry we didn't take any photos. Aah The food we ordered on the tablet menu and the order came to our table on a rocket ship revolver. It was so cute because the rocket design said nasa and it was shaped like a rocket. It was a fun experience as well! And ah definitely will come back. My only iffy is the booth seat had a weird friction to sweat pants. It's always fun to add a moment of play ordering from a tablet and watching your food come down a rocket themed conveyer belt. The decor and spaciousness took me back to Japan for sure! A lil review of our order: Veggie caterpillar roll: Delicious, really fresh and hearty at the same time. Spicy edamame: pretty spicy oil, not too salty, a good start to the meal. Vegetarian Udon: super savory, light broth. Noodles were so chewy in the best way! Tempura roll: Pretty yummy, but maybe a little heavy/greasier. Gyozas (not pictured): perfectly fried, really good. We came in 30 minutes before closing and had 15 minutes to order, but all the food came out so fast, and the staff served us so many refills of food and tea. Pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon, not sure if the sf marathon had anything to do with it. Looks super popular with delivery apps as they have a row of tables dedicated for togo orders. Really good service, super attentive whether you're looking for the restroom or need more water. Huge portions of fish on the nigiri and even on special the special rolls. Sometimes sushi restaurants with fun themes/gimmicks fall short when it comes to food, but Rocket Sushi really delivered! The portion sizes were generous and ingredients tasted super fresh, and I love being able to continuously order more food on the iPad and have it delivered to the table via rocket. It doesn't get super busy because it seems like a lot of their business is takeout, but would really recommend going in person and having fun watching the rockets! Prices were reasonable too - I got 1 specialty roll, 1 maki, and shared edamame and ended up spending ~$40 after tax/tip. read more

Brought my family here on a Thursday night. My daughter has been wanting to try a Conveyor belt sushi spot, although this wasn't necessarily a conveyor belt it was cool how your food was delivered. We were sat immediately, no wait at all. It was very convenient being able to order food on the screen system at the table. They had staff there to answer a questions we had about the food. The layout is very unique, as the food is served to you on a rocket tray so you have to be sitting next to the belt. It's almost like conveyer belt sushi but with just one line. We got the sweet potato roll, yellowtail scallion roll, xxx roll, and the lion king roll. They were all really good! I especially liked the sweet potato and yellowtail rolls, as the rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned while the ingredients were so fresh and well seasoned. Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet since it's my favorite go to sushi spot in the city! It's pretty empty around lunch time and there's plenty of space even for large groups. The booths are pretty large. You can't park on Market Street of course but just around the corner there are usually a few spots open. Each booth has a tablet for ordering and they have an extensive menu. My favorites: bacon mochi skewers, hamachi kama, shrimp tempura (excellent in every way!), and Hamachi belly.
