Don't believe them when it comes to quotes over the phone. They work very slowly and will drag their feet to charge you more. I ended up paying almost triple when it was all over. Our two-bedroom apartment was light speed quickly wrapped in all sorts of necessary protection materials, stacked like as if guys are Tetris champions, delivered smoothly and quickly and carefully put in their places. No damages, no nerves spent, price total was quite satisfactory for such a quality of job too. 6 hours total. Any move whether across town or across the country always involves many unknowns. If you're like me you have unfortunately experienced one or two bad moves with dishonest or uncaring movers. This added to the numerous online horror stories makes it even more difficult to find someone you can trust. So this year faced with a fairly tedious and substantial move we started our research on finding a reliable moving company. The first variable we needed to pin down was cost. Naturally I went online to use a free estimating 'calculator' knowing full well that my contact info would lead to countless sales calls. I must have had conversations with at least 20 companies after that, all of which I Googled and Yelped. Rockstar was not in that group; instead we chose them based on a combination of good reviews, price and proximity to our address. Rashid, who runs the company is great to work with. He came out and surveyed our place, provided an overview on how they work and gave us the necessary assurances regarding their experience and integrity. This was important because you can tell a lot about a person's character when you meet them in person. Rockstar like other companies provides boxes and packing service, but we chose to pack all the non-furniture items just to have piece-of-mind and to save time on moving day. On the day of, the crew was efficient, careful and very respectful of the furniture, walls and floors. The guy in charge, who also inventories everything, personally wrapped all the soft furniture pieces with blankets and shrink-wrap. The rest of the move was also equally uneventful which I am very happy about. The bottom line is that I would easily work with Rockstar again. I had Rashid's cell number and could call or text him anytime during the move. Please also know that his price for the move was very reasonable. In this business there is always a cash and credit price. If you go with cash it will be 50% after the truck is loaded and another 50% just before unloading. The crew captain in each case will estimate the fee and Rashid will refund any hours that were overestimated. Again, another thing to be happy about. For many moving is a rare event so it's nice to know that there is an honest well-run company that you can rely on to get your household from A to B with a minimum of worry and stress. In my opinion Rockstar Pro Movers is well deserving of its name in this case. read more

We started with an original estimate but by the end of the move, they handed me a bill for 65% more than they originally quoted. I get that estimates are just that, but how could one be so far off? Read some of the other Yelp reviews. They entice you with their price and then they adjust it in their favor by 65% when they are done. No huge surprises with my move other than the price. This is simply dishonest business, and I urge anyone contemplating their services to take your hard-earned money to a moving company that is forthright and transparent. read more

When you need movers, I highly recommend you call Rashid. When I called he asked for as much detail as possible, I was moving from the LAX area to the desert, and it was a three bedroom home. The quote he gave was fair and the crew of three that showed worked very hard and quickly. I underestimated the amount being moved and ended up filling the truck as full as possible.
