Open seating indoors and cute outdoor area. But this also means there are a good amount of flies unfortunately. They have a brunch egg place, smoothie place, tacos, Thai, Vietnamese spring rolls, ramen/japanese place, pizza, Hawaiian musabi, steak and American food with full bar and an açaí bar and two dessert places. I've had the Japanese place (KARAI HAND ROLL AND RAMEN) and I got a hand roll and the inari sushis. I give this place a 3/5 Because it was really expensive ($30) and portion was small and sushi had too much sauce and was too sweet. Had EATALEAN NJP. Give this place 5/5. You can make you own pizza and choose thin or thick crust. Got thick crust and was delish. Good sized pizza for $20 Favorite dish would have to be from KRAPOW, Thai place. Got the tom yum fried rice. Rodeo 72 is the same concept as Rodeo 39 in Stanton. They both actually have similar food vendors. You'll find an array of food options like Hawaiian, pizza, sushi, tacos, chicken, and dessert. I'm not a fan of this food hall concept because I get overwhelmed by the amount of options and people. This food hall just opened, but I expect this place to be busy. The inside wasn't as big as I thought it was going to be. Most of the space is taken up by the food and drink vendors and a large portion of the seating is outdoors. The outdoor seating is not covered so I can imagine how hot it might feel on a sunny day. It's also quite challenging to find a place to sit. There were some tables that didn't have any chairs because people would take them to other tables. It was a bunch of folks walking around and asking different parties if they were using the chairs. You're either lucky or unlucky for the parking. The lot is small and there are at least 4 to 5 spots allocated for pick up orders. It was nice to check it out the one time but I don't think I'll be back. read more

Rodeo 72 in Whittier has quickly become one of my favorite spots because there's so much good food in one place. I've tried several of the vendors, and each one has been a hit: Double 3 - The puffy Hong Kong-style waffles with soft serve are absolutely delicious. Light, crisp, and paired perfectly with the creamy soft serve. Eggbred - Great breakfast options, consistently tasty and satisfying. Karai Handroll Bar - Fresh, flavorful handrolls with great textures and clean flavors. Krapow - Hands down the best Thai food in Whittier. The seasoning, heat, and balance of flavors are on point every time. Las Chelaguas - Refreshing and vibrant aguas frescas--ideal to sip while wandering the plaza. Shootz - Hawaiian fusion at its finest. The kimchi butter sauce is to die for and something I'd come back for on its own. The only major downside--and it's a big one--is the lack of parking. For a development this size, not building a parking structure feels like a huge oversight, and it definitely impacts the overall experience during busy hours. Still, the food variety and quality are excellent, and Rodeo 72 is absolutely worth visiting (and revisiting)... just be ready to hunt for a parking spot. read more

Came here on a Wednesday night and this place was packed. We couldn't find parking in the food hall's parking lot so we had to park in the next plaza. Even with that, it took a while because it is a busy plaza. There are a good variety of choices to choose in the food hall and there's an outdoor space. I tried 2 places so far: Shootz: I got the combo #4, the mixed plate with 2 brulee spam musubi and a can of soda. The kimchi butter katus chicken was my favorite. It was the right amount of buttery and savory which goes well with the rice. The macaroni salad is so really good. Brulee spam musubi was interesting because it was sweet. I will def be back again to try their sandwich. Not Just your pizza: My bf ordered a focaccia and he thought it would be a sandwich but it came out to be in a pizza form. The focaccia was really light and airy. I didn't feel bad if I ate more than 2 slices of it. It was the right amount of lightness and I really like the arugula as the topping. Since this food hall opened, the parking has been ridiculous. Parking for Stater Bros has been a challenge. Finally made it on Saturday evening. I like the concept, but the food options were okay. The bar area and outdoor space was lovely and very busy. There was even a dj, which I appreciated. Some food stalls were closed which in my opinion could've stayed opened later especially on the weekends. I like that it's extremely close to my home and I could walk or ride my bike if I wanted too. decided to stop by here since it was otw home for me and i was excited to see the layout! i'm very familiar with the rodeo 39 in Stanton so I was really curious to see how this location looked. I love the layout and I also really like how it's tucked in so you can't see it from the main road until you turn into the street. It's definitely in a newer nicer. Part of Whittier parking can be limited, but it's fine during off hours and there's a big complex across the street for additional parking if needed. There's lots of food options inside, ranging from Thai food to hand rolls to poke to Mexican cuisine and even bubble waffle dessert. I decided to opt in for blue bowl as a healthier sweet treat option, which was super delicious. I can see myself being down to come back to this location to try other foods with friends. There's lots of seating available, which is a great addition. The area is super clean and they keep up with the bathroom maintenance as well. read more

There is a designated parking lot that is free. No valet parking available. Parking was very challenging on the opening weekend! I went on the second day it opened to the public! Finally managed to find parking! There's a large variety of food choices from drinks, dessert, and food! There was no lines to enter the building! There were super long lines for many of the establishments, but that didn't stop people from standing in line! It was also super challenging finding a table too! There is outdoor seating, but it has no shade or covering! It has no heat lamps so plan accordingly! I would love to return back, but maybe in a few weeks/months after the traffic dies down a bit! Had the Burria taco combo from Las Chelaguas. Service was great ,food was good. Kind of in the pricey side $36 for the 3 taco and drink combo plus an additional agua. Seemed like they had a great choice of dessert options may go back for that. Also had 4 carnita tacos from The Basket Tacos. Those were good too. Very nice hang out spot. Outdoor patio is huge and clean. Dog friendly so I definitely plan on bringing my furry best friend here. Near the bar area, there is a big screen. Compared to other local food halls this one falls a bit flat, only one main bar for drinks, and maybe a dozen restaurants. We went on Sunday evening around 7 p.m. before the federal holiday the next day (President's Day 2/16/26), so expected it to be busy. The place was kind of dead for being at the tail end of main dinner time range. I counted 5 restaurants not open; only one gets a pass, Eggbread, since it's breakfast focused. Music was a bit too loud for allowing basic conversation without raising our voices; I can only imagine how much worse it is when busy on a Friday or Saturday night. Being a Whittier resident I've heard great and terrible feedback alike for this place, the parking is definitely an issue, we had to park in the grocery store parking next door. The food options are okay but not as much variety as other food halls, very few dessert options. I'll definitely come back and try other restaurants but not a top spot to add to a regular rotation of eateries for me. All staff at the 3 locations we got food/drinks from were very friendly and the food service was fast and prepared hot and appealing. In a world where we see less and less mall style food courts this is a welcome addition. This is more of a food hall with multiple independent locations to partake in. The variety is good from Asian to Mexican to Peruvian to American. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside. We tried a variety of foods to get a good sampling of flavors. Peruvian chicken was ok, sadly the green sauce provided was a bit runny and lacked flavor. Ramen was good in a flavorful soup base with adequate accompaniments. The smash burger was the big winner with juicy meat which overflowed beyond the bun. Chicken wings were good, plump and tasty. Parking can be difficult but with patience your endeavor will prevail. One of the guys was detailing a sink with a small brush instead of just pulling trash and refilling items they're paying attention to detailed cleaning. Very modern food hall! This place is smaller than the one in Stanton also named rodeo (maybe same owner?) lots of parking since it's in the stater brothers mall. Later in the evening while at home I did receive an email receipt but it was not my receipt, it belonged to someone else, a Cinthia L. I reached out to Toast the company that handles club accounts? I was told to call Rodeo 72 to get a copy of my receipt, I don't see any phone number and I don't feel like driving back to Whittier. I've tried the boba spot and Paper Rice twice. I always get the same thing, and it's so yummy! It's the beef banh mi, and although it is kinda pricey $15, it is worth it. Last time, there was a live band getting ready to perform, so it definitely has an ambience to it. But the parking can get horrendous, so plan accordingly. There's some birria options, an Italian restaurant, a bar, among other options. It reminds me of the Anaheim Packing District a bit, but it's on a smaller scale. read more

I was so excited to try Rodeo 72! The structure and grounds are beautiful (with an absolutely gorgeous and inviting floral mural on the initial walkway arch) but sadly, are not functional given the extensive foot traffic the market gets. Given its social media presence as a vibrant and centrally located community gathering spot, I was disappointed at the lack of green space for kids and dogs. There is absolutely no shade whatsoever which unfortunately makes for an unpleasant dining experience. The feeling of having to play musical chairs with the outdoor seating is off putting. People are literally circling the tables like hawks which I found to be unexpected and unfortunate. I was about to sit down with my family of 5 and this woman came out of nowhere and claimed our table because she "touched" it before us and set a bunch of napkins down (she had a family of 4). That action ruined the vibe for us. This is the reason why Whittier can't have nice things. After a few drinks I would expect an uncivilized soul to cause havoc over these seemingly minor but major inconveniences. We were stuck in the blazing sun and tearing up having to share what little was left of a patio umbrella. An older woman in a wheelchair next to us in the direct sunlight was having to be fanned down by her two family members in 95 degree weather. Why no one offered her their shade reinforces just how dismissive some patrons can be, sadly. Food is delicious and eclectic but overpriced, more like Downtown Disney or The Grove Los Angeles pricing. However, given the vast menu selections and culinary variety, makes for a fun outing to try at least once. Highlights include Blue Bowl and Primal Cuts. The Blue Bowls we ordered were fresh and tasty, with unlimited toppings and bases like Acerola Pineapple Yogurt, Blue Chia Pudding (infused with their signature blue spirulina) and pink Pitaya dragon fruit. During our visit DJ Rascal Dels, a Whittier community fixture, was spinning Freestyle and Oldies which was so fitting and perfect "on a Sunday afternoon". The Primal Cuts bar area houses a beautiful U-shaped bar top with a huge television, perfect for Dodger weekends. It would definitely make for a super fun setting to cheer on our Boys in Blue. Get Rick Caruso in here to revamp the parking and seating situation and it may be worth a revisit but for now it's likely a hard no for us to dine in, but take out is a very likely possibility to return. read more

Yesterday was my first time at this location. They have a variety of food choices, but I believe there are only seven or eight different places. The parking lot is very small, so more than likely you'll have to park across the street in the shopping center or somewhere in the surrounding neighborhood. I tried paper rice, which was very stingy when putting protein in the rolls. The EGGBRED, truffle burger were really good, and The Basket Taco's brisket grilled cheese was the best thing I've tried there. I do recommend trying this place to see what you like. read more

Wow. Such a beautiful establishment. With foods of all varieties. From Mexican, to Thai, & Peruvian food. There's even a Bluebowl if you're in mood to create your own açaí / fruit bowl. The high ceilings and open layout is a vibe with indoor and outdoor courtyard seating as well. Highly recommend coming by and checking it out. It's a nice place to grab a quick bite with some friends, socialize, or even have a casual meeting with business associates. I was so excited I forgot to mention my food! The Peruvian food was delicious. It was a great portion size, which also came with a side of chicken soup. This is for today. I came yesterday for game one of the World Series and it was great. But today they have a wrestling May taking up half the area to watch the game. They also have loud music. So makes it even harder to hear the game. Then half the area that has seats outside has some of the people that are suppose to be on the mat. They are noot drinking or eating just the stuff they brought. Even their friends. Taking up spaces for customers. I'm glad this is not my first time. I would never come back. Downside is the parking. But everything else has been incredible. This review is for EATALIAN. Since they don't have their own yelp page yet. The pizza here is delightful and did not disappoint. Anyways if you come here on Friday night for drinks don't come too late because most of the food spots close a bit early. So first off this place looks amazing it's located in a great area!!! Yes, there's flashing lights and pretty signs. Parking could be better. If you have food, allergies, like dude, intolerance lactose intolerance, you're screwed I want to like this place, but I can't eat anywhere they don't offer enough gf/df options! Tables were full, first come first serve, but once we found a table, we were happy to sit and enjoy! My group had drinks at Capo Public house. We ate "Krapow" Thai food, and had ice cream at "double 3" You just have to go with the expectation of it being busy, and it's not a quick trip. So if you're ready to enjoy and just go with the flow. Decided to checkout Rodeo 72 on opening day. It was packed, but the eateries handled the crowds well. There was plenty of parking around the building and in a nearby parking lot. I did feel a little bad about just how many cars I noticed parking in residential area of The Groves, hopefully this doesn't end up being a long term issue for any of the residents. The selection of places to eat was awesome, especially considering I could choose one type of food and someone else another yet all dine together. So far we've only had the Star Cones, Thai and taco place, but they were all good. We've been a few times now, and the wait was longer on weekends due to larger crowds, so just keep that in mind when coming. Despite the crowds, it wasn't hard to find a table to fit the size of our group. I'm not sure how often we'll be coming here, but it's a nice change. read more

Review of the actual market/food hall alone.. Very beautiful spot in the heart of Whittier. The decor is nice, with plenty of seating, and a plethora of food options.. A must if your in the area. Came here with the wife, and a friend from work. We all tried different stalls, and agreed/disagreed on some the items we ordered. Overall though, loved the place.. The outdoor seating in the patio was really nice. Food prices were on par with the amount that was given.. I myself tried the Peruvian chicken spot. I did the 1/2 chicken with fries and salad.. $16 bucks i think it was. Came with a side of chicken like gumbo, which all in all very good. Then i washed it down with an agua fresca, a dragon fruit lemonade which was really good as well. The Bar area was really nice. Cant wait to explore more next time! read more

Came in on Mother's Day. It was so busy, but given the day it was already expected. Looked around all the table seating was taken up so we waited until after we picked a spot to eat to sit down. My cousin is in town from Oregon and has been craving Asian food this whole time. Service was great. Food flavor was great. We asked for medium level spiciness and my Mexican self was surprised! lol it definitely had a kick to it. The garlic fried rice was my favorite. The flavor was so good.
