This place has one of the best burgers in Dallas! We visited for the first time on a random Wednesday night when we were craving a good burger and came across the restaurant on Google Maps. For a Wednesday, it was surprisingly packed. I ordered the Bodacious Burger, and my husband chose one from the "Battle of the Burgers" from the board. I love that they not only offer a wide selection of burgers on the menu but also have these battle burgers which I believe change every month. That night, our waitress told us that Wednesdays they have half-price cheese fries all day for dine-in customers. So we decided to try them out and OMG... YUM! What we didn't realize was how huge the portion would be--you could easily share it with three or four people. The restaurant has a classic burger joint ambiance, with high tables and chairs inside. Outside, there's a spacious patio with plenty of seating, and the best part is you can bring your dog! Overall, I loved the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and, most importantly, the food. My family love Rodeo Goat. We are regulars at the Casa Linda and Rockwall location. We found the new Plano place so we tried. Great place, bad service! We came in Sunday. Guy server with pearl necklace said the order would take so he was suggesting to appetizers/ sides, never served us water! I ordered the goat chips. He bought us a bowl of crumb chips!!! Conglomerate review of multiple locations. What has happened to this place? Last 3 or 4 times have all been a miss. I can chalk 1 or 2 times as a one off but multiple locations (Arlington, Plano) have been not great experiences. This most recent one took the cake with 5 tables sitting after us getting food before us. Cheese fries were so bad we had to send em back. Sat under a heat lamp so long they congealed into one bowl. We met family for burgers tonight. It had been a few years since we'd eaten here. The food was good, though the burger patties seemed to have suffered shrink inflation. The real problem was how we received them. Two of us ordered medium and a third medium rare and they all came out well done. We started eating them and the waitress came by and we told her about it. She said she'd tell the manager and did. We waited. We kept eating. Bradford (the manager) came to our side of the restaurant for another issue. I saw our waitress talk to him and point to our table. It's been about 5-6 years since I've been here, and my coworkers and I went for lunch today! It was just as good as I remember, maybe even better! I really love that they have such a variety of burger options, and our waiter even had a recommendation for us. I ended up getting the Sugar Burger with goat cheese (his recommendation), and it was suuuuper good. The patty was especially cooked perfectly. It was actually medium (and not charred to oblivion). Immediately after being sat down we asked for a high chair (we have our one year old) and were told there were no high chairs allowed at the table we were sitting at and she still proceeded to sit us there, also at a table I didn't properly fit at (I'm 8 months pregnant) but we figured we'd make it work and got a booster seat at least. Our server didn't come for the longest time either, we thought for a minute that we didn't have one and it continued to be like that for the entire dinner. My burger was good, my husband's was okay, everything else was definitely not up to par. Our cheese fries were hard and looked like they had been sitting for a while. You could poke it with a fork and the entire bowl of fries moved altogether and my daughter's grilled cheese was the same. The cheese came off like plastic. Lastly, I understand kids are kids. But the table next to us had a large party and many children who were screaming, running around the restaurant and around their table in circles, and some of the parents were standing up as well in between the tables playing with the children. One mom was even picking up her kids to spin them around. This went on the ENTIRE dinner. After all the screaming and the children running in front of the waiters, I figured management would come by soon enough but no. Absolutely nothing was said to these people until after 8pm struck and it was simply because after 8pm they don't want any children in the restaurant because lots of people come in to drink at this time..... Very disappointed, was recommended for their "great" burgers and if I didn't at least like my burger I would've gave this place ZERO stars. Service is top notch. All the employees did an outstanding job. The music is great and not too loud. The place has a great vibe. My hub and I shared a nanny burger and loaded cheese fries. we washed it down with a couple of draft beers. Food is pretty good at a fare price. Lots of yummy choices. However, the burger patty could be a bit larger to fit the bun. There was a little too much garlic in the goat cheese topping and left a lingering aftertaste. We enjoy ice cold beer with our burger. Service is great. Burgers fabulous. Mixed drinks skimpy. Sides pathetic. About a two weeks ago we got burgers and fries to go. Got home and the burgers were piping hot but the fries were cold. And WAY over done. That's not the worst part though- the fries were not fries...they were little shards of crunchy potato strings. Remember the crispy shoestring potatoes that came in a can? RG's "hand punched" fries were harder than those canned things. They seemed to be the leftovers from a days worth of fry making. They were HARD. Contacted them through their web site and got no response. Nothing. Zip. Nada. It cost $8 for two orders of inedible fries and that's ridiculous. Went back tonight and got okay fries (tasted kind of like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp for a while) but the Goat Chips we ordered should have been served with spoons. There were a few larger chips but the rest was crumbs. The waitress just said, "At the end of the day, that's what they serve". Their menu says to tell them if something is wrong, but it's pretty obvious it's just virtue signaling and they don't really care to make it right. Some of the best burgers I've had in a long time! I've been sent here multiple times to pick up our to go orders. My order usually consists of a "Hot Bastard" and everything else is secondary. This is my favorite burger and I'm afraid to try another! I hear that the impossible burger for vegans is delicious. They also have a different battle of the burger to pick from every month.
