Not my favorite burger spot in Dallas, but it's consistent. I like the wide variety of options, and the occasional limited time ones. I recommend switching to a whole wheat bun, I'm not a fan of the regular buns. Fries are just ok to me, which they had more seasoning. read more

I decided to try out Rodeo Goat for the first time after moving all day and it was the best decision I made all day. It was nice outside so I sat at on the patio which is spacious and clean. I had the Sugar Burger as a turkey burger and it was so flavorful! The sweet potato fries on the side were basic and good and they have a good amount of beers on tap. We got the hot bastard, nanny goat & kids sliders. There fries are good, but cheese fries need a saucy cheese which would help them be great. I wish the onion strings were a regular side like fries as they are very good but if you tried to order them as a side you only get a handful. The kids burger can be ordered as just 1 slider FYI. Where to begin, RG is proving itself to be perhaps the APEX burger experience in Texas. We've eaten at two locations now with the other being Fort Worth. The Chill-laxed atmosphere cements itself in both locations, and lets customers know that they are in for a good time. Now, to the food and service! Our waitress was so nice and courteous, she asked if we needed anything, checked on our food, and made herself available frequently! We ordered fries, chips and queso, the Bodacious, Hot bastard, and a kid's grilled cheese meal. The food was all warm, with the cheese being nicely melted without wilting the vegetables. The chipotle Mayo will wake up any burger, and makes for an excellent side chick to ketchup when it comes to dipping your fries! I would come again. I think that the burgers should come with standard fries for the price. Maybe add a dollar to the burger to make that possible? I think it would be a good idea to have different kinds of buns, perhaps a potato bun? We sat in a group of 45 and were not checked on as much as we should have been as a big group. On my recent trip to Dallas, I was in the Richardson area with my niece and I was starving. I wanted a really good burger and decided to hop on Yelp to see what I could discover. Upon doing a scroll I decided on going to the Rodeo Goat. Boy oh Boy! Let's talk about it. The location is super easy to find and there is ample parking in the area. The restaurant sits in a nice tucked away shopping experience of a few stores and eateries. Perfect area for a daytime date or friends and family time. Upon walking in, I was drawn to the cleanliness of the establishment. I'm talking wall-to-wall clean. There is a sign that advises that staff is either vaccinated or wearing a mask which I appreciated considering the climate of the world at this time. The building is super spacious and there is indoor as well as outdoor seating. The back patio area is so cute and a perfect setting for a springtime bite. Inside has the feel of diner-style seating with the traditional tables and chairs, as well as the long tables with stools. Pick your style, take a seat, and get ready for a mouth-pleasing experience. The kitchen is an open floor plan and you can see the entire kitchen. This earns major kudos in my book as they take pride in their cleanliness and aren't afraid to allow the consumer to look directly into the kitchen. Let's talk food. The menu is filled with option after option of enticing meal choices. From the burgers to the greens, you will have such a hard time making a decision. I decided on the Bodacious and OH MY GOSH! I am talking a well crafted, cooked to burger perfection, fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, abundance of Greatness. Paired perfectly with the homemade fries and the homemade Ranch dressing. Now, between me and you, they didn't tell me the ranch was homemade, however, as GOOD as it tastes, there is NO WAY it was store-bought. I ordered the Bodacious burger, and a side of sweet potato fries which I shared with my fiancé. The fries are large enough for 2 people unless you want the whole bowl to yourself The bodacious burger was delicious, and the jalapeño added a spicy kick to the burger. Our server was super friendly and gave really amazing burger recommendations for the table! PSA. The "surprise" in the fries is chili. We came just before the crowd arrived at 12:30pm for Sunday lunch. Inside was full up and many in nice weather seating outside. I had low expectations coming here, but this place really delivered a delicious burger! We got the fire in the hole burger. Contrary to what you'd think, it wasn't wildly spicy, but had a good kick. Ingredients include beef patty, pepper jack cheese,jalapeño poppers, jalapeño slices and Fresno aioli! It also comes with bacon but you can opt out. The burger is $12.99 which is on the mid-higher range but I did get an adequate amount of meat in the burger. I'm still looking for the best burger in Dallas, this one was up there though. read more

Went to Rodeo Goat in Plano to take our out of town friend to try it out. The burgers are always fresh and delicious. They have really great flavoring. They have such a great variety to choose from on the menu. My favorite thing is the cheese fries. I could just eat those all by myself! The atmosphere is a fun environment. They have booths but also tall tabletops to sit at. They also have a hook and ring toss game on the wall that can be fun to play after a few rounds of drinks. Rodeo Goat. Oh, why?! I'm not supposed to eat red meat...but occasionally...I will splurge here. I love their rotating burgers. Always unique and delicious. Their main menu is also great. I want to point out that they have some great non red meat options for vegetarians or people who would prefer chicken. Since my friends love to go here, I typically get the black bean patty....they will make it for any burger!! I haven't found another spot that can make a vegetarian burger the same... Their salad is surprisingly good! Their French fries are definitely hit or miss. Probably 9/10 visits there is a top layer of good fries sitting on a bed of burnt crunchy dead fries. We LOVE the Nanny Goat burger!! It is big enough to split so it's not too bad on your waistline. I asked for easy on the goat cheese and there was still plenty on there. We are always searching for a great burger and we found one at the Rodeo Goat! We were able to immediately seat ourselves at the bar and the service was great. We sat at the bar so we could watch MM basketball games which was awesome, next time I think we will sit on the patio. Rodeo Goat is my favorite burger restaurant in the metroplex. I always went to the Dallas location but decided to come here since it's closer to my job. They do practice social distancing however they have outside and inside seating which overlooks a small river which had a nice view. They are extremely safe and you must wear a mask in order to get in due to the COVID restrictions. Once you are seated, you are able to take your mask off. I ordered the Nanna Goat for the first time ever. I typically get the Country Burger however I wanted to be bold because I love cheese. My friend ordered the Bodacious. Both burgers were AMAZING! I loved the Nanna Goat because of the creamy cheese and the goat cheese garlic aioli which made the burger incredibly delicious. Our server Adam was so nice. Thank you Adam for your professionalism and service! He actually recommended to me the Nanna Goat and I'm so glad that he did because it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. I got the Bodacious Burger, which was American Cheese, Bacon, Crispy Onion Straws, Grilled Jalapenos, pickles (which I had the leave off), Smoked Jalapeno Mayo, and yes, Bodacious BBQ Sauce...It was delicious!
