..... so I was excited about trying this place because I loved Texas de Brazil . This place was similar . But not in a good way. First all the meats were bloody... I'm a medium -well and my husband is a well done person. So to see the meat bloody red was not what we wanted. The waiter said he could bring ours well done because other tables have requested as well but still didn't . I was not satisfied and would not go back again. The service was ok. If you are looking for great value, good variety of veggies AND proteins, downtown location and super service come to Rodizio Grill. I typically avoid all you can eat spots, but R Grill has some healthy options for all types of palettes. Makes it an easy choice if you don't want to limit your self to one type of cuisine and if you are with a group of folks. We were careful not to fill up on one thing so we could try most everything. It was all good. As some have mentioned the rotation of meats is not extensive but nice variety of beef, pork, fish, chicken and livers. Somewhat disappointed no lamb. Also, expect to spend an extra $7 - $10 on dessert. The wine selection was good and went well with menu. Service was super. We found out later that the gentleman who greeted & seated us was the Manager, Mike. He was very welcoming and had great customer service skills. The rest of the staff were also on point and we appreciated their attention to making our time enjoyable. TIP: if there is any event in the Arena District, this place will be slammed and should be avoided if at all possible. A great time to come here is when there isn't an event happening. You wont have have to sweat finding parking, making reservations or feeling rushed. read more

Absolutely no stars!!! Terrible and scary experience!!! This was my first time visiting Rodizio Grill and will definitely be my last. I was there to enjoy my friend's birthday dinner and hadn't even taken my first bite of food when my right finger was sliced open by Gaucho Anthony. The cut was so deep, you could see the white tissue. I was freaking out inside but tried to remain calm. I found someone who looked like a manager (Jake Szafarski) and advised my finger was sliced. I was taken into the women's restroom with our drink waiter Brian who stated he was an EMT. My finger was overflowing with blood (see photos). He wrapped my finger in gauze and when I came out the bathroom my information was exchanged with the General Manager Jake. Since I was there to celebrate my friend, like the good sport I am, I returned to the table, however still traumatized and explaining to the other guests what had happened. I definitely wasn't getting any meats myself, so the other guests helped with putting meat on my plate. My finger was throbbing in pain and I was asked if I wanted EMS to check it, I agreed. The responding EMS unwrapped my finger to see how deep the wound was, cleaned it with peroxide and antibiotic cream and re-wrapped it in gauze. As I'm walking out of the ambulance back into the restaurant, I'm met with the general manager at which point I advise the entire table needs to be compensated due to distress and trauma. The entire event was ruined. I was advised my costs could be covered but the full party could not. That's when things took a turn for the worse. I asked the GM to speak to someone above him and he said he was the top person. I'm sure Ivan Utrera (Founder and President) would beg to differ. Jake explained that due to the party size there was nothing he could do. He began to get aggressive with me as I was asking him to resolve the issue. I feel that due to my skin color I was treated unfairly. Including the party guests. We were made to be the aggressors, when in actuality we all were genuinely concerned for our safety. Additionally, the Gaucho Anthony who had just sliced my finger was not sent home (I was lied to and told he was removed) but was seen cutting meats for others. An incident report was written by Jake and naturally he made false accusations against me. He stated, and I quote "Ashley stated that she moved her finger to grab the meat and made contact with the knife while the Gaucho was slicing". This is simply not true. The GM was not present during the incident and made this up to cover himself and the new hire. However, what is true was that Jake stated Anthony was only one week out of training meaning he had little to no experience cutting meats. Not to mention, per staff the same new hire received complaints prior to this incident. The GM was so upset with me that he never returned to the table after I asked him to resolve the matter. He sent Brian to deliver any further messages. For my safety, I did not go to where Jake was because you never know when someone will snap and with him turning red and getting mad with me, I was in fear for my life. Big shout out to Brian he was extremely compassionate about the situation and tried his best to do everything within his power to assist us. I woke up this morning in pure agony. I type all day at work and have to talk text to write. This was not a paper cut BUT was treated as such. A simple free meal will not be sufficient enough for me. I was completely humiliated and horrified by the entire experience. I would not recommend this place as the food and service are both poor. I'm very disheartened by how this situation was handled. If the knife had gone any further I'd be without my finger tip. This is not the last the company will be hearing from me. My voice will not be silenced and this matter will not be sweep under the rug. read more

I have been going to Rodizio since I was a kid. I LOVE Brazilian steakhouses. I came here again on a Saturday night. The restaurant is big, but it wasn't as busy as I would expect. The reason for 3 stars isn't the meat, it was delicious. It's for the overall condition of the restaurant. It's been a few years since I've been to this location, but it was really showing it wear and tear. Scrapes on the wall and tables, the waiting/entrance area seemed dirty, and the buffet station wasn't clean. There were no tongs for garlic bread, so people were having to use tongs from other food. Gross but also a health hazard for allergies. The salad bar was just sad. I understand if they're busy, but it was messy with food on the counter. I was pretty let down by this. Columbus has two Brazilian steakhouses, and I just feel that their competitor now has a classier and cleaner feel. I love Rodizio for their grilled pineapple! I came here a couple weeks ago because my friend's son is meat server here. It was my first time. Here's the way this place works: you get a trip to their HUGE salad bar filled with great foods. It is a fantastic salad bar and very tasty. But the issue is you fill up very easily on it, which has the cheaper food. Once you are at your table, the meat servers stop by with various types of grilled meats on skewers and slice off *small* (1 or 2 bites) portions. Granted, they stop by continuously, but there may be a short gap sometimes between meat servers, but the gaps remind me of eating fondue and waiting for your food to cook before each bite. It also gives time for the food in your stomach to settle, so you don't eat as much. From a health perspective, that's probably good, but it also means they don't serve as much of the more expensive food (from their purchasing perspective). Overall, the service (irrespective of my friend's son) was great as was the food. For the amount we got, it was worth the price, but at around $35, probably won't be a regular occurrence. All.you.can.eat.MEAT. what else can you even say but amen. This was my second time here and I came to celebrate a birthday. Before going I'd spoken with a lady who is from Brazil, and she said that this restaurant is pretty authentic except for the fact it's overpriced (she said in Brazil you'd pay $15-$20 for that kind of meal whereas the dinner price here is $36.99) and that the all you can eat price doesn't include dessert (in Brazil dessert is included). That being said though, I still thoroughly enjoyed it here. If you've never been, there's a salad bar (also all you can eat, but at a much lower price) and the servers bring the meat out to your table. They give you a wooden peg thing with red on one side, green on the other. You leave it on green if you want them to continue bringing meat and on red when you want a break. My favorite meats were the swifish (sp?) with red pepper, top sirloin, garlic beef, lamb, and parmesan crusted beef, not to mention the pineapple which was probably one of my favorites! Dessert was extra so we didn't get any, but there was no need because I was soooo full on all the meat. Definitely something to experience if you've never been to a Brazilian steak house! read more

We went here for the first time and told our waiter we came for the meat sweats. Although he was a bit quirky, there was a constant flow of different meats the entire time we were there. I asked for a manager four times before One came to the table. They stopped by. She was very sweet she said either your plaque for your meat is not being seen or what you're saying is true she's like give me seven minutes and let me know if anything changes. 12 minutes went by we have four guys come by to be honest with you with the same meat that we were eating all night, we didn't even get to taste all the meat that they had on the menu. The guy busting the tables was a God said he checked on us more than our servanted or even the manager after he saw us not getting the service that we just politely asked for he made sure he went around and made sure Man came to us but again we did not taste everything that was supposed to be on the menu again a table beside us asked for their bananas to finish their meal like it was supposed to come with and the guy said I'll be here be right back that he said oh yeah, we just ran out we don't have that. I talked to several couples and on our side and ask them when they get the same type of server like yeah they're really slow and we all got to try two kinds of me Then when the bill came The Man told us in the beginning when we got there, it was gonna be 4995 that's our Valentine's Day special it does not include drinks or dessert. It was $160 with a 20% gratuity added on there and that's no issue but we didn't even get our money's worth so we paid $75 for like 600 of meat mashed potatoes, rice, and whatever they had that bar you had to serve yourself Again. The first time I had rodizio grill I liked it, but this experience lastnight on 1/14/22 was horrible. Me and my guest were continually skipped , I'm not sure was it because our table was in the back or if it was due to it being another table that had atleast 15 people at it for a large party and that they were catering to them. We spent 42.99 to not even get any meat, and when we finally did it was the same 3 options. 4 if you want to count the pineapple, which the gentleman came to our table multiple times with pineapple, no offense I didn't come here to spend that money for grilled pineapple. My first Brazilian experience. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I certainly couldn't tell when we walked in since they had curtains up to block your view from the dining room. My friend had made a reservation, but had accidentally made it for the wrong day. The manager, who was working at the hostess stand was kind enough to find a table for us and we only waited a few minutes. Our server came over and explained the process to me and then we were off to get our "sides". I thought it was a weird mix of offerings: seafood salads, regular salads, soups, pasta alfredo (random), etc. I started off with Brazilian potato salad, mashed potatoes, and regular salad. When we got back to our table there was a small plate of breads waiting for us. The meat-fest began. I was honestly overwhelmed. A few of the guys serving meats were a little pushy about trying what they were offering and I hated having to explain myself when I didn't want something. All of the cuts of meat that I tried were amazing. EVERYTHING. It all comes so fast, before you know it you've got a plate full of meat to work through and it never stops. Considering how much we spent, I would've preferred better sides or maybe just more sides. The ones they had out seemed a little random. If I could do it again, I would choose less salad bar and just saved the space in my belly for more meat. I think this would also have gone better with a group instead of just two people. Our server V was great. Unfortunately this restaurant has really gone downhill lately. The food looked like it had set out all day. The cheese bread under a hot lamp for hours? Disgusting. My summary of eating at the Rodizio Grill : "been there, done that". Having been to a Brazilian steakhouse in Chicago that was excellent--and elegant-- I was familiar with this kind of culinary experience-- and was looking forward to eating at Rodizio, which I thought, would offer the same high quality. Wrong. First of all, the atmosphere is anything but elegant. As other people have mentioned, the entry area was shabby, and the chairs and tables both looked worn . It wasn't that busy, either, which tells me that the place likely needs some rehab work. The salad bar/buffet area was a major disappointment, not in terms of quantity, but quality. My partner ordered the salad bar itself (an outrageous $26.00); I ordered the meat plus salad bar, which costs $45.00. The meat, brought around on skewers, was plentiful and tasty, for the most part. There was a large selection including lamb, pork, chicken, steak, and if you're looking for a place to eat a lot of meat, this is the place to go. But for $45.00, you could probably get a higher quality steak/meat dinner at a Cameron Mitchell restaurant (or some place similar), and have more of a fine dining experience than here, which at times seemed to be nothing more than a glorified Ponderosa. The buffet station had all packaged salads, toppings, side dishes. Nothing looked homemade--or unique. There was plenty there to eat, but nothing looked too appealing. Our server looked as if she didn't want to be there, and didn't know anything about the wines on the menu, something which was proof that this place is not focused on presenting a fine dining experience. Desserts are sold separately, something not mentioned by the server. Paying $7.00 for a slice of Sara Lee Cheesecake is a bit much. I noticed also that many tables remained dirty far longer than they should have. Ick. I would recommend this place only to those who want to eat a lot of tasty meats in a bargain basement atmosphere. We ate at Rodízio Grill to celebrate our son's birthday this past week. In general, we were disappointed with our evening. Our waiter was not very attentive. Several things should have been on the menu that were not - chicken hearts (one of the reasons our son wanted to eat there, farofa and filé mignon. The food on the salad bar wasn't very fresh; none of us took lettuce, as it was brown around the edges and there were some black spots on some of the leaves. We most likely will not be back but will eat at the other churrascaria in town that is only $5 more than Rodízio Grill. read more

Nothing really stuck out to me there that added to the experience, though the small cheese bites are tasty. The picanha is the most AMAZING cut I've had! Our family goes there once a month and last a few visits, my wife and I agreed that the quality of food went down. We had been reluctant to go back but since this week is restaurant week so we went back on Sat. All we have to say was the quality of food was much better! It's been a little while since I've been to Rodizio, but having looked it up on Yelp while considering it for New Year's Day dinner, I just have to chime in. This place is a carnivore's dream, and anyone who didn't get exactly what they wanted did not ask for it. I know this because as crazy unreasonable as this sounds, hubby will go to this and places like it, tell the gauchos he wants nothing but picanha and fillet mignon and the man walks out of there in need of a shopping cart for the tummy. If it weren't for his miraculous metabolism he should weigh over 500lbs. Wear your fat pants and go at it! While this is not a Fogo de Chao, nor is it priced like it, they do have absolutely the best chicken hearts (an acquired taste, try it!) and wonderful black beans/collard greens combo; the caipirinha is pretty good and the service is too! read more

I've been here several times - during their "not officially open" period and more recently, lunch and dinner. Good god, so much meat. I don't get Matthew's complaint - "I've been to so much better" - it reminds me of a guy complaining that Olive Garden wasn't authentic Italian. This place has one purpose to my friends and I - give us an un-ending serving of meat. Actual quotes: "I want to talk to you, but there is so much meat!" It's good, and it encouraged myself to try some foods I'm not a fan of that I would never have otherwise - chicken hearts and some sea food. The staff has always been friendly and attentive, keeping drinks (beer or water) full. The beer selection is meager, and I've yet to hit them up for just drinks and dessert - because their dessert menu looks amazing. Rodizio is the least expensive Brazilian steakhouse that I've ever been to. By a lot. That's generally a good thing... but you do get what you pay for... The good: Conveniently located in the arena district (although parking can be costly/painful) Seating is more spacious than Texas de Brazil at Easton Much better service than Texas de Brazil Availability of draft beer (Texas de Brazil only serves bottled beer) Considerably less expensive than Texas de Brazil The bad: Their quality/selection of the meat is far inferior to every other Brazilian steakhouse I've ever been to. Instead of lamb chops, you get grilled chicken heart. Instead of beef ribs you get swai fish. And instead of filet mignon, you get grilled pineapple... Their salad bar is the smallest salad bar with the least variety compared to other Brazilian steakhouses. Dishes like marinaded shrimp, lobster bisque, fresh buffalo mozzarella that Texas de Brazil's salad bar offers are missing at Rodizio. In conclusion: Rodizio is nice if you've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse and you just want to experience one for a relative discount. It's also nice if you're in the Arena District anyways for a Blue Jackets or Clippers game. But if you're a meat connoisseur and/or you have no need to be in the Arena District, I would recommend going to Texas de Brazil in Easton instead. Yes, it's more expensive. But not having to pay for parking downtown will help bridge the cost gap somewhat. read more

Dinner included endless appetizers (3 choices) which were ok. My son loved the little bread bites. There were lots of meat options and we tried most. Items were ok. I did find most of the chicken choices to be overcooked. Lamb was delicious and as long as we choose rare beefs, we found them not dry. A Brazilian place, churrascaria-style, all-you-can-eat, you will be served enough meat to assemble an entire farm of animals. Columbus is a somewhat culinary sophisticated town so this might not be new but I'll review the process just in case: after grabbing a plate from their gourmet salad bar--an impressive selection of items--you indicate your readiness for the 'protein train' by a block on your table--green you are in pig out mode, red you need time to digest. When green Rodizio's Gauchos ( Cowboy's--it's what they call them) bring you meat one at a time, and with sharp knives will slice thin pieces of it. Most slices are top notch, and the ones that ate not are still pretty high quality. The three meat food groups are showcased: beef, chicken, and pork. Beef features Tri-tip and Picanha top sirlion steak, very tender Mioloda Paleta, and a mouth watering garlic rub Bfe Com Alho. Poultry offered are rich Franco Com Bacon wrapped chicken, marinated brushed boneless chicken thighs, sweet and spicy Churrasco chicken, and Coracada De Franco Temperado Chicken Hearts. The last was a first for me. These tiny tickers of the chick was siney and tendon bites that gave a unique feel and taste. Pork here was a special treat: Liguica sausage, Lombo Com Quejo loin, and nice tasting Presunto ham gave the gluttony filled feast a nice balance. Overall, I was underwhelmed by Rodizio Grill. The manager was fantastic though. Our server was not pleasant and only refilled our glasses once, disappeared mid service, we waited forever to get our check only to see him working at the bar. When we finally gave him our credit card, I immediately got a notification from my Card company of the transaction but didn't get my card back for another 15 minutes even though I saw him bring two other customers (who got their bill after mine) their card back. The food wasn't great. Limited salad bar options, all of the chicken was over cooked and the meat selections were not great. Definitely prefer Texas de Brazil over Rodizio. read more

Although some servers were friendly and entertaining, overall this was a bad experience. The salad bar was unkempt and under filled. The wait staff was socializing with each other more than they were waiting on customers. Overall this was a disappointment at a $45/person price. read more
