Awesome selection of both bento box's and sushi rolls but highly recommend the Banzai roll (imitation crab, avocado, cucumber, topped with spicy tuna tempura spicy mayo sweet sauce and sesame seeds) It was sweet and glutenous but delicious! This place is located on in an easy to see area on the corner with a nice view. Honestly the traffic going to this resturant was as bad as I was anticipating as it's not necessarily near downtown LA. The staff were really kind and I enjoyed the simplicity/clean taste of their food. I came here cause I wanted a light dinner and something sort of healthy and they kept it nice and simple which I liked. The goyza kinda tastes pretty standard. By that I mean most gyoza tastes a similar way, but that's that's I wanted to eat if that makes sense. They were cooked nice and crispy though. The thing that surprised me though was that the wings were really really good and crunchy and moist. I came expecting the sushi to be the main highlight but I did really enjoy the wings a whole lot. Overall this was a really clean meal. Oh also there is a parking structure just across the street so it's quite close for those who were wondering. Usually I avoid downtown downtown LA area just cause of parking but the structure was convenient and I'm not sure if the parking machine was broken, but they didn't charge for parking that day which was another plus. read more

So although the food is consistently good, I do have to mark it down because if you want to make a substitution, the management frowns upon it, even if you offer to pay for the upgrade. They have no problem charging you full price even if you do not take part of the plate nor are they willing to substitute it with, for example...some extra rice. read more

Had their take-out salmon bento box and a side of spicy tuna roll. Super good! Spicy tuna roll actually had a solid spice to it, like a bit, and the salmon bento box was very filling. The miso soup on the side was also great, so satisfying. Highly recommend taking to-go. read more

Love how cheap the sushi is and I'm a huge fan of their crispy rice with tuna. I don't know too many places that have crispy rice so I'm so glad they have it. My other favorite go to roll is Salmon Double Trouble. I have not personally dined in but if you're in the area and need a quick bite, I would say this is the place to go. read more

It is okay sushi. Respectfully, It is not worth the price, just save your money. The tempura shrimp that came with my tempura udon soup had so much batter, just the outside was crispy and the inside was undercooked. I ordered the "Shrimp Pimp" and that was just okay too. If anything it had too much avocado. I ordered to go, so maybe that is why I had an okay experience with their food quality. This place is great for quick sushi run. Its not too expensive or fancy, but the fish tastes fresh and the price is not bad. The parking is validated in the structure and the servers are prompt and preparation is quick. Updated Review: I still have not been able to get retrieve lunch within my hour break when I GO IN to have lunch. As delicious the sushi is around noon time is, it's nearly impossible to order, be served your food, have a luncheon conversation & be back within my hour break 2 blocks from my place of employment. I have even attempted ordering delivery-The restaurant itself does not deliver, so on those days I want a double sushi roll, I use a delivery service and I always make sure I order my food when the restaurant opens at 11:30 am. The delivery service also always fails me by forgetting the basics of either my drink or a food item. Why? Seriously why can't we just have a good customer to business relationship? I sincerely hope we figure out where we are failing since lent has began & on Fridays I will definitely need Roll Call to come through for me. ---------------------------------------- So it's been just shy of a year since I've been here and once again either my lunch hour is too short or the service takes too long. This is the second time I've had to ask for my order to be packed to go since I would be late returning to my office which is literally five minutes walking distance, twice we've ordered for take out and still have had to wait an additional 20/30 minutes again cutting into my lunch hour. I don't understand what is it, is it my simple 1 hour lunch break, I've eaten at many sit down (non fast food) establishments and still had a few minutes to spare to watch leisurely back to work. I couldn't tell if it was meat or breading but the fact that it's even a question is telling enough. Edamame was very good and carrying the stars here. Nothing fancy and rolls were good. Only downfall is the diversity of the rolls is severely lacking. It's basically all tuna and tempura and crab (two real blue crab and the rest imitation) rolls. They have happy hour from 4-close (9pm currently) I got the blue crab hand roll which was hearty and very good and the green train roll and an order of gyoza. I liked my roll and the gyoza was just ok. Got all three items for $22 which wasn't bad in my opinion. Vibe is very causal and it's a walk up and order like a fast food place rather than wait staff. First time here. I ordered a Katsu Shrimp Bento Box. First Point- My shrimp was burnt to a crisp. Second Point- There was more batter than shrimp. I bit into a crust of burnt batter. Amazing how establishments use tricks like these to give customers less food. As if people won't notice. Maybe the over-heated, unchanged oil they used shrunk the size of my shrimp! Who knows! The cook either has not changed the oil in days, or he left my shrimp in the fryer and walked off and forgot about it. In any event, the rice was room temperature, and the salad was mediocre at best. It's obvious this establishment has no idea what they're doing. What a waste of money. The entire place was being run by a bunch of employees who had no clue how to service anyone sitting down. Go figure. The sushi chefs were not in the business of sushi. They looked more like part time hustlers. I also asked for ice water and the girl brings me a cup of water with no ice inside a clear, plastic, Jack in the Box like cup. Seriously? This place will be out of business soon.
