Best deli in the peninsula, hands down. My family and friends have been coming here for over 20yrs. Even though owners have changed hands several times, and the quantity of meat per sammie has slightly decreased and the prices have slightly increased, it's still the best bang for your buck, not to mention the most delicious. Don't skip on the garlic sauce! It's amazing. The sandwiches here are a serious bang for your buck. They're a good portion and have extremely fresh ingredients. We got the pastrami on one and the pepper Turkey on another. Both sammies were perfectly balanced with the amount of meat to veggies ratio. The bread tastes really fresh and the condiments were just enough to bring the taste together. There was a long line but the staff member that helped us was efficient and very friendly! My last review of this place was harsh going to revise it. I remember when the owner was a white guy don't remember the name. Originally the sandwich's were packed and delicious. I usually can only eat half a deli sandwich at a time but the food was so good that I couldn't help but eat the entire thing in 1 sitting. I'm currently typing this review while fighting off my food coma. They also have a good assortment of chips and drinks to pair with your meal and plenty of seating inside where you can sit an enjoy your food. Came in here and let me tell you the sandwiches are amazing! First you pick what kind of sandwich you want like bread, cheese, kind of meat and if you want everything in it. Grew up in San Bruno over 15 years ago and went back to visit my old town. And what do you know. This place is still open! One of my childhood favorites. Sandwiches are BOMB! I got the turkey special. Which was amazing. Definitely recommend getting extra of the their garlic sauce. Makes the sandwich better! Place is under new management, but place is still amazing! Also, one of the meats (maybe the Coppa?) was a bit chewy/stringy, and the meat/filling didn't extend to the end of the bread on both sides. However, this was a very good deli sandwich, and I would come back if in the area. The staff here is really nice and friendly, and the sandwich was ready in less than 5 minutes. The most difficult part about coming to this entire street is the parking. Lacks the enthusiasm and variety of a NY deli. I had a Pastrami sandwich with rye and Swiss. I opened my sandwich and found they only used 1/2 a slice of cheese (at $1.60), the onions were raw, not cooked, and with only 1 choice of rye bread compared to other delis that have dark rye, Russian rye, marbled rye, and Jewish rye, I might come back, but not for Pastrami. My wife had a Turkey club with pretty much the lack of what should be in a sandwich. Was Leatherface behind the counter? Why is this place so empty? Then a Korean lady asked me if my name was Brent or something, and if I was here to pick up my order. No and no. I did place an order for their turkey sandwich with avocado on dutch crunch, and grabbed a drink and chips. 3 stars means Meh...and that's how I felt eating in this empty deli. Their garlic spread was lackluster, their avocado was sparse, and their sandwich was dry and plain and to be completely honest I ended up throwing most of it away because it just was too dry and plain for me. I know sandwich aficionados have their places...so don't write me on Yelp asking me to try this place again or change my review. I'm sticking by my opinion, because like comments...everyone has one of their own. One of my favorite places to have a sandwich. Try the sourdough bread with Salami and Chicken breast. That is my favorite. They told me it is under new management but the sandwiches taste the same. They have done some remodeling and it seems to be new owners from before The sandwiches are still good but not as good as they used to be. They are a good size not as big as Little Lucas but still a good size. Meat was good it seems to be BoarHead deli meat and the servings were fair for the price of the sandwich. It seemed to be lacking some flavor maybe the condiments were not strong enough to taste them or not enough not sure but it was lacking some flavor.
