First visit for me. I will state the good: Nice looking restaurant, clean & attractive. The bad: staff not super friendly, sitting around waiting on customers to walk in. Not a good look. The food was just ok. Ordered a meat Lasagna and a Cesar salad, to go. Lasagna portion was small and I felt like I was eating mostly cheese. Lacking flavor, cheap on the sauce. Meat no where to be found. By the way, the bread was also just ok. Very disappointed. I am a big supporter of local small businesses, an owner once myself. So I am understanding at how tough it is. Nestled in a little shopping strip off of 380, this unassuming Italian place was quite the unexpected delight. We came on a week night and were seated right away. The drinks came out quickly and were tasty. The food itself was much more than we expected especially for the price. I got the spicy shrimp and chicken and it was one of the best Italian dishes I've eaten in DFW. And once again the price was very reasonable. This place is awesome and if you are in the McKinney/Prosper/Celina area you need to frequent this place. Good food, good drinks, and good service at a very fair price. read more

Nice find for this Chicago girl who is used to great Italian. From the outside you would not know but inside is a cute restaurant with a beautiful bar and table settings. Food was good and right sized portions, no left overs. Service was great. Only suggestion is to maybe have less bright lights to add to the Italian ambiance. we will be back! read more

Just a quick follow-up review from our last experience at Roma's Italian restaurant in Prosper Texas. So many times restaurants are a One-Shot Wonder , although we were far from disappointed what's the food we eat enjoyed this evening. A chicken Caesar salad was scrumptious and the chicken Murphy was mouth watering and taste buds satisfying. Service once again was top-notch. I was craving a calzone and I usually dine at Grimaldi's when I have this craving but I just didn't feel like spending $30 on a calzone alone. I looked up calzones near me & I saw photos from here that had calzones that looked extremely appetizing. They were the perfect shape & size had scoring on the top so you can see the filling. I then ordered one, not what I was expecting at all. The calzone what a literal football. No scoring, didn't look as appetizing but I was hoping the taste was better than it looked. The taste fell flat. It was lacking, a lot. I was hoping the the veggies would have some seasoning, some garlic, herbs de Provence something. But it just tasted of mozzarella. That's all. The Marinara they gave me on the side was just watery & cold so it didn't enhance my calzone experience at all. What saved them was the Tiramisu, the lady fingers were a bit on the soggy side but I love that strong coffee flavor. I won't be coming back here for the calzone but MAYBE a tiramisu. read more

These folks know Italian food! Stromboli is Hands-down the best I've ever eaten. Pepperoni pizza was better than any "chain" and rivals some of NYC's BEST! This was my first time coming here and the customer service was outstanding. Asking us if we wanted refills, the food was fresh and hot. It's alright. The garlic knots were a bit hard and they don't come with marinara dipping sauce. The lobster ravioli had large cut up chunks of fake crab, but was drowning in the sauce. I couldn't tell if there was actually any crab in there. The chicken parm was alright. read more

Have been here twice now and was the exact same both times. Got the spicy chicken and shrimp pasta and the penne melts in your mouth! The sauce is just spicy enough, and the serving is HUGE!! We have tried to like this place, we really have. Pizza is good, especially for Prosper. However, they just can't seem to get the orders right. I would say they get our order wrong, or I am waiting much longer than they said I would, about HALF the time we order a pizza from them. It's too many mistakes to keep coming back. More importantly, they seem to not care very much when they do. 2 stars, only cause the pizza is good on the rare cases they actually get our order correct. read more

I know it's hard to mess up fettuccini, but it's the most unbelievable sauce I've ever had! My family orders from Roma's at least two to three times a month and it never disappoints. The staff is so nice and it's always clean when we go in. The Murphy's pasta and Cannelloni are amazing also. Definitely recommend! read more

If I could have given 0 stars I would have. First, Mona was a miserable waitress. After waiting an hour for a small pizza, salad and bowl of soup, she informed us the food was coming. Ten minutes later still no food. When the food arrived there was no apology for the wait from Mona. Adding insult to injury, Mona made us feel really special when she informed us we weren't the only customers ordering pizza. (Tip: if you can't handle your in-house business then you have no business in take-out.). Mona also refused to get the manager/owner (Tony) who was in the kitchen. I'm guessing Tony was cooking. At any rate we won't be back. It's unfortunate, because we liked this place. Mona had a bad attitude by the way. read more

I really hate leaving bad reviews and almost never do but it had to be done here. We tried Roma's for the first time last night. Take out. Wait was an hour ( no problem as we were warned). Pickup was on time and we got the food home hot. Food looked good, sadly that was the only thing that was good. The chicken picatta was beyond gross. The chicken breasts were hard as shoe leather and tasted "funky" as if it was old reheated bad chicken. I'd compare this dish to bad hospital cafeteria or the airline food of days past After two bites, both my wife and I tossed it out. The vegetarian pizza was mediocre at best. Doughy crust and honestly, dominos is better. They did however use fresh veggies.... The Caesar salads were loaded with so much Parmesan cheese and you couldn't taste anything else. How do you ruin a Caesar salad?? The chicken Alfredo was bland and what I would expect from a microwave meal. 60 bucks and a waste of time/meal in the trash. Save your time and money. Stunned at the positive reviews here as there is no way I would ever spend another dollar at this restaurant. read more

Absolutely love this place. Very quiet great music and darn good food. Servers are kind and attentive without being overbearing. The pizzas are great and even have a personal size. So we've been ordering from here for a while and tonight was the first time we had a complete wrong order through grubhub. We got 4 different entrees so some poor family got messed up as well I'm guessing. However I'm not taking off any stars because their customer service was outstanding! We called mostly just to let them know so hopefully they could fix it for the family (or group) of people whose order we got. The guy on the phone immediately apologized and they had one of their workers drive us our real order. They were very apologetic! The only problem is we have 6 entrees between the two of us, but out of the problems the world has today, I'll take this one! We will continue to order from this place! Try the bruschetta. Great service, great food! We are so happy to have an excellent Italian Restaurant so close. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and drinks orders were taken immediately. We like to sit, visit and enjoy our cocktails before ordering and we were given time to enjoy. The food was fantastic and ample, the rolls were hot and buttery. We had the Lasagna, and Veal Parmesan.....so delicious! This is our new go to Italian Restaurant and so close to North/West McKinney. read more
